I think they have a maximum number or days a trip could be for coverage, during that time..30-60 days...something like that, it doesn't cover an entire year abroad.

Correct.  I did not mean to imply it would cover one trip abroad that would last one year.  There is a restriction on the number of days per trip.  This would just be good for someone who travels extensively on multiple trips during the span of one year.

Here’s some advice:

Stay in 5 star well away from Silom (many well educated and wealthier gay Thais do not want be seen in Silom area)

Make sure you book room with access to executive / club lounge

Refer to 5 star hotel on Grindr / Hornet profile and make reference to lounge “join me in executive lounge”

You will be inundated with applicants in 20’s and 30’s so need to do some careful sifting to pick the best.  They love to post pics on social media in the lounge - that’s the attraction.  After a few free drinks they will be asking to see your room.  Weekends and evenings after they have finished their office jobs are peak times.

But...I'm staying in 5 or 6 star ... The Capella in Bangkok so maybe worth a try

Hi Rob,

The Allianz annual "Premier" plan (the intermediate-level plan) has a maximum trip length of 90 days. Not sure if that means one must return to one's home country every 90 days or whether one could go on to start a new "trip" to a third country for another 90 days and then (presumably) be able to return to Thailand for another 90 days. Not sure how it works, but you are right it definitely does not cover you if you plan to spend "a year" in Thailand.

I don't rent as I employed in its time old wisdom " buy when everybody is selling".

Being not short of self esteem on don't need 5 * hotels as ego boosters

Coincidentally- sorry, I'm joining this thread late- have any  posters who have reached eighty in the UK  found the sudden rise in the cost of premiums astonishingly large? For my thirty years of travel to Thailand, my insurance has been covered by my bank card which provides insurance through a large UK company. When I reach eighty- alas, not too far in the future- I find that it will cost me over £1000 a year for the same cover for my three trips, despite being in the flower of youth, health- wise. Well, almost.
