So to continue this travel thread I have finally made it to Mexico City.  It has been on my list for awhile and with a push from Floridarob

MEX is a little more expensive in hiring then other rural parts (Veracruz, Merida) but 500-1000 is the norm range... I too don't get the Colombians, Cubans, etc... asking 1500-2000.
