Netanyahu is openly intervening in the US presidential race. If Romney wins, all well and good for Israel, at least until the Dems get back in power. But if Obama's re-elected, then Israel will have opened a real breach with the only reliable ally it has. In fact, the ally on whose goodwill it's national security is entirely dependant. If you want to cheer something, watch this speech by Zach Wahls at the Democratic National Convention. He wants to tell you that his family is just as valid as Mitt Romney's family. I got a moving note from David Mixner, long time activist and one of the reasons that President Clinton was elected that shows just how far we've come, that we can see a rainbow flag at the DNC, see gay appear on the screen. Buzzfeed talked to gay Republicans in Tampa, and asked them how you could be gay and a Republican. As far as I can tell, it requires that you divorce yourself from reality.
