It was Valentines Day, he had no classes,
and he had sprinkled red rose petals on the bed cover
to make a large red Valentine...with two crossed red roses,
along with a beautiful Valentines Day card with expressions of love.
He sure got my attention..and much appreciation too for his efforts.
That shows to us what your BF is very smart... and knows what western people like... "men in his 50, who wants to have love" for sure will be impressed with gifts like this...
I just try now to explain here if it is "everyone's_mistake" to gift "something what you like" at time when you should to gift "something what your BF likes" (I'm not talking about you directly - just in general)...
Once I had visit to our Thai friend (young 28 yo gay men). I saw about 25-30 toys of different sizes from 10 cm to 0.5m - Pokemons, bears, bunnies, cats... They was gifted by his "farang"... But refrigerator in room was empty and boy lend from us 50 baht to buy something to eat...

travelerjim,
when I first time saw my BF 7+ years ago - he was student of last course of UNI... now he is Ph.D. already...
from first meeting till now we had gifting each other many times... we are in love, but I never gift him in amount which he can't gift me back, coz in love main point is not "to take" but "to give" and I don't want to make him pain from idea if he can't gift me back with equal gift... it's from our culture...
as well I want to mention here, what Thai (and Asian in general) have VERY different customs about gifting in comparing with western culture...

Have you ask your BF what he prefer to get to his Birthday - money for to cover 1/2 of his monthly room's rent or box of cookies for the same price?

Last year there was one domestic carrier named Cambodian Angkor Airlines that had at least 1 fairly new A320 and a Beechcraft AT-7. Has that gone bust? Or been taken over?
They are joint of Cambodian government and Vietnam Airlines: 1 A321 + 2 ATR-72
-
have they ever been in Cambodia to check their "facts"???
The U.S. Embassy advises its personnel not to travel by train because of low safety standards and the high risk of banditry.which one trains??? there are no working railroads in Cambodia...
The U.S. Embassy strongly discourages its employees from using domestic air carriersWhich one "domestic air carriers"??? there are NO domestic carriers with airplanes, with exception of balloons and helicopters around Angkor Wat... all "domestic" are just code-share with Australian, Singaporean, Vietnamese or Thai airlines...

This digits can't represent real situation in Thailand just coz Thai from rural areas sometimes even have no possibility to use banks for to deposit money as well top-level of holders don't use Thai banks for deposits and prefer banks in another countries...
More representative and adequate is Gini index... it reflects unequal income... than lower it is then more equal is income in society...
For example Gini index as per CIA is:
Namibia 70.7 (the world's highest)
Argentina 45.7
USA 45.0
Thailand 43.0
Russia 42.6
Israel 39.2
Japan 38.1
New Zealand 36.2
UK 34.0
Spain 32.0
Australia 30.5
Germany 27.0
Norway 25.0
Sweden 23.0 (the world's lowest)

I'm wondering why this tread is inside of "Gay Thailand" section but not in "The Beer Bar". Here is nothing about "gay" and nothing about "Thailand".
By the way: there are no Buddha, Roosevelt, Hitler, Pope, Lincoln in list..
Ppl who have interest in youngsters can check also Mario Maurer name (it's safy - he is 21 yo already)

There are 2 "cost" in poll

Friend of mine told in web-chat about tonight heavy rains in Pattaya till early morning.
As I know peak of wet season is at different months for different places in Thailand (As per wiki: BKK - Sept., Samui - Nov., PTT - Oct.)
How hard is to live in thus places at time of peak of rainy season? Is it necessary to migrate btw cities in Thailand to avoid peak of rains for comfort living?

Who care about exchange rate? To rent room for boy is still the same 4000-5000 Baht, food at stall have the same price... Why they should care if Pound is going down? They pay for renting and for food in Bahts...

I did not know he did professional massage.
Now Ef shows his certificates at website.
-
Yesterday I had short conversation with Ef. He wants to tell to you all "thank you" for visiting his website
He got more than 200 visits to his website from this topic, as well he got new customers
-
For next competition it will be great to make button "Thank you" near each post (like Tui's told not so many days ago). And count in qualified posts for competition only posts with 2 (or even 3) "Thank you" clicks...
Then here will be less "Post_About_Nothing"

The problem with the bus service is it only leaves every 1-2 hours. So if your flight arrive doesn't coincide with one of these times, you may need to wait 60-90 minutes for the next bus. Add this time on top of the additional time it takes to get dropped off at your hotel (instead of being driven direct in a taxi) and it can almost double the duration of the trip.
Better to spend an extra $30 on a 1,000 baht taxi and just get there in the quickest possible time.
Have you even try Bell?
They drop off you directly to your hotel or to place which you will tell them: when bus come to Pattaya station there will wan already waiting for you... They will ask you to change bus to wan and and in 10-15 min you will found yourself near the doors of your hotel... This service is included in price of 200 Bath... for example: travel from airport to Bondi takes about 1h50m (I had it twice - in March and in June)
but for future: give me please info where I can order taxi for just 1000 Bath from airport to Jomtien, 1000 Bt sounds good.

Once the bottle with Genie is opened - it is very hard to get Genie back to the bottle...

Ok, we will see... But for now I still continue to think if it was just case of some NGO's blackmailing in hopes to catch some Pletnev's money...
-
If the police and the NGO do not finally bring charges within the next 24 days, he will be a free man.
Pletnev's case isn't the same... Police or NGO don't have any proofs if Pletnev is involved in criminal. That why he 4 times already came back to Thailand to visit court without fear to be arrested.

My source for cheap rates is Matrix from ITA - it is direct terminal which is connected to many airline's servers... so I can see fares and purchase tickets which aren't published on websites. As well it can search for cheapest price in 30 day from "first possible day of travel" - you need just mark how long you need to stay in point of destination...
one only limit using of this system - you should to know how to deal with results like this:
XXX EK X/DXB EK BKK 257.84QE1MPRU1 EK X/DXB EK XXX 257.84QE1MPRU1 NUC 515.68 END ROE 0.833831 FARE EUR 430.00 EQU USD 545.00 XT 16.80RI 6.30UH 22.20TS

Only me is tired to watch this "$500-marathon"?

I note that the green light has been given to the expansion of Suvarnabhumi. Once again, the decision has been taken far too late, as it is now envisaged Suvarnabhumi will reach is design capacity of 45 million passengers this year!
this is just "bla-bla-bla"... after May in BKK they don't expect now even 40KK
When I arrived back from Shanghai on Sunday evening on one of TG's nice new A340-600 aircraft, at least 20 airbridges were unoccupied - yet, we parked on the tarmac and had to be bused around over half the airport in foul smelling buses. Why? If the aircraft was to be parked there overnight (which I do not believe, as I think it was scheduled to fly to Europe a couple of hours later), it takes less than 45 minutes for it to be completely unloaded, after which it could be towed on to a tarmac spot.
It is easy to found answer: parking at tarmac + buses are CHEAPER than parking with airbrige...
rest is the same - about money... peak time slots and late night slots have difference in prices about 2 times... airport will rise difference even more and airlines by themself will move some flights to more cheaper slots...
-
I'm annoyed by the fact, the prices listed are excluding taxes and charges, which sometimes run up to 20%. You have to click "book now" to get to the next page and find out.
then you should to use booking.com - they show prices in total... but I found if in Thailand direct deal with guesthauses and middle-ranged hotels will bring more adorable prices than any global booking operator can offer to you...

The quality of banners can compromise idea...
They are "nothing" about "nothing". Besides they flash, they have almost no info on.
What it is? Where it is? What in the "message" of banner? They will not "sell" venues to visitors of GT. But in one month advertisers will come to you and ask: why I didn't get any deal from banner?
I think it will be good idea to be more selective in quality of banners: I saw many cases when owners of business don't understand what must be on their banner and how it must looks to be working banner.

very few tips:
- "extract" points of "user's menu" in row - it is hard to find settings and other stuff...
- rename some points of menu: " view new content" to "read new content only", put close "marк all as read" and place out RSS icon - it confuse ppl - many should think if RSS is about to view new content via RSS...
- "Message Center Policies" should be renamed to "Forum's policies" - terms(!) = why in one place it is named "Forum" and in another "Message Centre"?
