Asking around, it seems almost all the guys in the main bars in Chiang Mai are straight.
-
How about the boys there? Looking back through posts, it seems most Chiang Mai barguys are straight.

Odd you just foud it. A search produced this thread which starts with your post
Cam Frog Directions for those in wanting Gay action in Thailand

Some of these boys are cute. Can the people who run freeguy tell us how many of them are gay. I have seen some reports that most of the boys in the bars in Chiang Mai are straight and pretty much duds if you off them.

My understanding is that lifts have automatic stoppers so that in theory they can not go into free fall. They just judder to a halt if something happens to the cables. I was not aware of the earlier lift crash mentioned by gwm4asian, but I remember a fairly recent case of a lift in a hotel in Jomtien (I think it was Jomtien) when the stoppers seemed not to work until the lift had dropped a few floors. If I recall correctly, no-one was injured.
I assume a lift would drop at at least the same speed as someone jumping out of a window. There would, I suspect, be more chance that once you get to the bottom, you'd end up on your feet. On the other hand, the sudden deceleration would no doubt break your legs or your back. Also, the lift would surely collapse. So if you survived the free fall, you'd be killed by having your skull broken or some other similar problem. Fancy taking the stairs next time?

perhaps posting a sensible question would get you some sensible replies!
Well, what has set you off, bkkguy? My comment and question, let me remind you, was "Seems to me that if you need to do some serious computing, then you have to have the airbook even tho it is a lot more expensive. In that case, is there any reason for having an iPad as well?" It's that simple.
Thanks to Gaythailand and firecat, I have a better idea and I thank them. You could have provided a one-word answer if you wished to reply at all, but you preferred to criticise rather than help. That's entirely your issue and I'm sure other posters have noted it.

what are your requirements and which model best suites your requirements - is it really that different or that hard?
If it had been easy, do you think I would have asked the question and set myself up for your put down?
The fact is, although I have been using computers for a couple of decades, I basically do not understand them. period! Sure, I can do the basics. But not much more. Even with my iPod Touch, I barely scrape the surface of what it can do. I'm computer-challenged. I guess it's rather like being dyslexic with words. So I appreciate any sensible advice posters can provide. Thank you.

Perhaps you shouldn't have written it at all.
Agreed!

I've been reading a lot about the differences between the iPad and the new version of the Airbook. Seems to me that if you need to do some serious computing, then you have to have the airbook even tho it is a lot more expensive. In that case, is there any reason for having an iPad as well? Just curious.

Yes, it's good. Certainly better than lending money to people you regard as friends who promise faithfully they will repay and then don't. That has happened to me more than once with guys I've known for some time. The money disappeared. Eventually so did they!

Sorry to say, this story sounds like hundreds of trashy gay novelettes written over the years, only the location has been changed. I read one decades ago and then gave up on them. Face facts. Anyone, even graduates, seduced by the money available to cute guys stands the risk of becoming a rent boy. If you think that isn't going to change his personality, then - sorry again - it's time to enter the real world.
I've read other posters comments about security at the Dusit Thani on this and a couple of other Boards. I've also been there a few times in person and seen the high level of security. I thought it's one of the most difficult hotels for getting boys up to your room. I'm glad for beachlover he seems to have no problem with it.

Once gave 500 Baht not expecting it to be repaid. It wasn't!

Or Bayoke has a few floors for elves and pixies! (would have added dwarves, but i think that's not pc).
-
You're a farmer? Sorry, but your description pretty much asked for that!
-
Nice one! No doubt that's why you're a successful young businessman with the world at your feet.
-
Two parrots! There'll soon be a menagerie in here.

It's on Rama IV between Suriwong and Silom Rds.
You are sometimes a bit like a parrot, Mr Beachlover. That's twice in 24 hours you have virtually repeated what I wrote. No doubt unintentional.
-
Nice one! I suppose even automatic pilots get tired sometimes. Pity the door handle is nothing like any handle I have seen on an aircraft toilet!

Best view in Bangkok by far and one of the most spectacular in Asia.
I suppose everyone is different. The view from Lebua and Vertigo at the top of Banyan Tree kind of leave me cold. Bangkok is just so flat there is really nothing to see but lights and a bit of river. Not that there's much river traffic after sundown. So I cannot put it in the same category of "views" as the bar at the top of the Keio Plaza Hotel in Tokyo towards Mount Fuji, almost anywhere in Hong Kong, or even from the bar at the top of what used to be the Westin Hotel in Singapore towards the skyscrapers and river (don't know it's name now).

Looks awesome? Looks to me more like one of those computer generated images of buildings you see on the TV series Life Without People! i.e. about to crumble down!
-
Not really. This is on Rama 4 close to Silom and Suriwong.
-
That's actually the Singapore Water Polo Team.
Thanks for confirming my comment!
-
Wowww! Great bods! Wonder if the government realised the implication of that design. 'SIN' and an arrow on the cap pointing downwards to an erect crescent on the briefs. That's pretty sinful in my eyes
From the caps and physiques, I assume these guys must be the water polo team.

I missed Songkran and Thanksgiving
Are you sure you are completely cured? Songkran was many moons ago!
Seriously, sorry to hear about your illness and delighted you are on the mend (I know you meant Loy Kratong). Do you think you got infected in Pattaya? What is the incubation period?
Does Thailand have any Gay Nude Beaches?

I believe most of these 40+ suanas in BKK are really thai for thai. I expect beachlover would get in being young and of Asian origin. Older and out of shape farang might also get through the door, but the pickings would be slim. Also hear that the younger crowd in such saunas still tend to use hands to cover their lower reaches rather than saunter about au naturel. Or at least that is what I have been told.
