The ongoing erosion of a Constitution and a Democracy. Worth the read... https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/01/opinion/william-barr-testimony.html James Comey: How Trump Co-opts Leaders Like Bill Barr Accomplished people lacking inner strength can’t resist the compromises necessary to survive this president. By James Comey "You can’t say this out loud — maybe not even to your family — but in a time of emergency, with the nation led by a deeply unethical person, this will be your contribution, your personal sacrifice for America. You are smarter than Donald Trump, and you are playing a long game for your country, so you can pull it off where lesser leaders have failed and gotten fired by tweet. Of course, to stay, you must be seen as on his team, so you make further compromises. You use his language, praise his leadership, tout his commitment to values. And then you are lost. He has eaten your soul."

I just received a rather unpleasant email from one of my far-right "friends" praising the accomplishments of the Trump Administration and surmising that quite possibly he would go down in history as the most accomplished President in the history of our country. I simply sent him this. He has yet to respond.

"When the night has been too lonely and the road has been too long, and you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong, just remember in the winter, far beneath the bitter snow, lies the seed that with the sun's love, in the spring becomes the rose" And so it goes....

Japan's Kane Tanaka is now the world's oldest living person at age 116 A 116-year-old Japanese woman is officially the world’s oldest person, the Associated Press reported Saturday. Kane Tanaka received the honor in an official Guinness World Records ceremony held at her nursing home in Fukuoka, AP said. Tanaka, who was born on Jan. 2, 1903, loves math. She’s also a fan of the Othello board game, AP noted. Tanaka and her husband, Hideo Tanaka, had four biological children and one adopted child. For Adam Smith Cohen: "I fear there will never be a peaceful transition of power if Trump loses the election in 2020." A curious observation... I believe that we are where you predicted we would be back in 2017....

Well I personally, along with my business partner, leased Jay new digs for his then expanding car collection in Burbank. Ok...never actually met the man, but was privy to a tour of an amazing collection of art, which was, is, will be, the thing of legends...Yes, I was a valley boy, and proud of it. I would pass him most mornings as he crested Mulholland heading north to the studios in Burbank, and me heading south to the "city". He was always in a different car, from Duesenbergs to Bugatti's ...THAT was art. See you in 30 days...
