Members marcanthony Posted September 18, 2006 Members Share Posted September 18, 2006 I guess they are hard to avoid... but in a review site that is supposed to maintain some level of impartiality, I would think all efforts would be made to minimize them. On August 31, I posted this in another thread regarding a reveiw that went up for Harlow on daddysreviews.com: "Today a review went up of Harlow. He has 12 reviews, 7 of which are still available, and 5 are archived. Of the 7 that are available , 4 are from 1st time reviewers. The other three are from a person named "Lexusman" who reviewed Harlow as a 1st time reviewer in 1/06, then reviewed him as a second time reviewer in 2/06, and then again in 4/06. It's interesting they posted a reivew by the same reviewer in 3 of 4 consecutive months. I guess one could argue that it's up to the reader to make his own judgements... I just feel like for all the words that are printed on the page, the only thing I know about Harlow is that the pic he uses is cute. Really can't trust if he looks like the pic, does what he advertises, or if he exists. After 12 reviews on a review site, that seems a bit odd." Today, daddysreviews.com went live, and they have one advertisement on the front page. It's a banner for boybatter.com, which is the porn arm of Norfolk Male Escorts... the people who represent (or are) Harlow. I don't fault the other site for trying to get advertising, and I certainly don't fault boybatter.com for trying to advertise. As you know, I wanted to work with TY on this site because he has all the characteristics you described above. Unfortunately, I lean more toward the Hooboy way. I love my friends and want them to succeed. I would most likely do the same that Daddy has done. However, I have a voice in my ear from TY that prohibits any conflicts from arising. It really is so easy to be partial. I am glad that TY is on board and I do not deal with any of the Reviews or any of the advertising. That is all his prevue. My job is easy, I approve new photos and new escorts based on the parameters TY gave me. We do not have advertisers yet. Can we get them? Easy. I knew a few website owners who I am sure would jump at the chance for a special deal. However, we have not strayed from our posted rates or policy. Sit around looking at hot guys pics all day, sign me up, I even can do that ... wait lets create a sub job for me put me in charge of the twink and ethnic pics :7 There is little doubt that this site maintains a higher standard of integrity than the other site.
