Around the time we had planned for I hadnt heard from him so I had sent a text asking if we were still on, which I rarely do! However, I was texted back that, "it was too late", and that he "was waiting for my call". I was disappointed because I had already had him on my schedule since middle of last week. On top of that, the initial time we met he had contacted me to confirm, yet this time he expected me to call him. But I have actually had a couple of clients tell me this, and I tell them the same thing. I dont like the idea of calling someone when I'm not sure if they are with friends, co-workers, family, wife-husband etc. It wouldnt be very discreet if I was to even do that. I rather not put a client in an awkward position by calling at a bad time. The only time I'd be calling anyone is when Im en route or just arrived. I know that meeting an escort for the 1st or 2nd time can be nervous, and I can understand that. Someone would probably feel the same way about who I may be around. But I dont mind an initial text message and sometimes prefer them to an initial phone call. So It's not a matter of someone calling, but being sure we reach each other before the time we settled on. "Are we still on at time X at location Y?" "Yes, see you there." If it's something more, I just say I'll call them back in a few minutes. Majority of the time they call and confirm with me, but if they dont I assume that its off. Thats why I ask to be called by a certain time. The exception to me calling back is if I've regulary met up with the client or if I happened to miss a call from someone and they leave a message asking me to get back with them. In that case, I do. But I find that If im having to call, text or email to confirm a booking that they made, The appointment ends up being cancelled anyway. I understand if someone calls and needs to reschedule, but what got me about this last booking is that instead of him calling to let me know anything, I had to text and was told it was cancelled. Now theres some clients that dont mind receving a call, some who do. I cant be sure that the next day at 7pm they're going to be able to pick it up. I've also had some who've called me while they're in the middle of a meeting or party. If thats a convenient time for them to reach me, great. I would have never thought...But I believe you. Im with Caeron on telling someone to confirm by a certain time. If not I just assume it's off and wait for someone else to call. I still get the ones who call and say, "ok...I'll call you Tomorrow night. I'll call you once Im in town". Or even more specific, "I'll call you sometime in the afternoon/evening". When I go by that, its hit or miss. Coincidentally, prospects who dont quote specific times on the 1st conversation for an advanced booking rarely go through with the booking anyway. I dont mean to be having a go with clients on here, it's just that there's some out there that have the impression that we dont need a cancel or confirm call (except you who really enjoy us, I know you always do!). "See you sometime tomorrow" wouldnt work with my dentist, same here. Also have to admit that most calls are just inquiries and not everyone is going to book, but Im talking of the ones who REALLY want to meet. Anything less specific has a high likelihood of not happening. My routine is to confirm via text and email the day before on advance appointments - if I do not hear from the escort, I presume he has flaked out. In the advance communication, I also indicat that I wish to confirm a couple of hours before the scheduled appointment. Not only does that accomplish the confirmation, but it also allows for communication opportunity if the escort is running late - I don't mind if someone is running late - I just want to know it! You said it right there....And yes sometimes with hotel bookings its possible I may run a bit late, reason being is that either they are in downtown (parking/valet/detours) or in one of the Texas cities (I will say Dallas/Houston is the worst of all) Like the other day I was half hour late for a booking because the place I was going was so hard just to find the lobby. It was 2 hotels with the same name one of which I had been to before and found it easy to park and reach. But the other one next door I had to find parking, then the sidewalk to access the hotel was blocked so I had to go to the bottom floor of the garage, and then back up to the floor I was on...went up 3 more floors and then the lift was locked. and I thought the guy was going to cancel but he knew I was right there and the process of getting into the building itself was a fucking labyrinth LOL. Also, like they say its an exeption to every rule...well I did confirm with 2 people this week just to see what would happen. One of them had set a time and a confirmation time. So since I didnt get the call by that time I hit him up to see if it was still on, and it was. The other one had no time set up merely a date, so when I emailed he responded with this long placating reply (days later) about something that came up. If I am going away from home and taking a hotel room I always make arrangements to call the escort once I am in my room and give him the room number. I am NOT terribly concerned about giving out my real name thus I give the escort my name and the name of the hotel where I have the reservation. If he want to call the hotel to check if there is a reservation in my name I could care less. This has always worked for me, HOWEVER, I don’t get together with guys who aren’t reviewed positively either here or on Daddy’s site. I have run into the issue where escorts say they are going to return a call or call you later and never do it tends to drive me a bit nuts. Perhaps they are calling a bunch of escorts to chat with each one and make up their mind later. The more complicated and contingent they make things, the less serious they are. I keep an open mind about this, and sometimes am surprised by someone actually confirming one of these possible dates. Serious clients know what they want. They call, we talk, they book a specific time, and that's that. They might email me first, and that's cool. I am delighted to answer people's questions on the phone or in an email. I don't need to confirm when I will show up because if I say I will be there at a firm time, then I will. I pride myself on being on time because I respect the client and the value of his time which he has chosen to spend with me. I know how annoying it is to wait on someone who is late. If I am running late, I always call. Since I'm in downtown San Francisco and can walk out my door and hail a cab in under 5 minutes, running late is usually not a problem! I know it's harder to keep to a time when the person is further away or there is lots of traffic, and my sympathies go out to anyone who has to put up with the traffic in Dallas and Houston, as I've experienced both cities firsthand. Thats what Im saying, even if you take the 'business-like' approach to the ones who arent sure whether they want to or not it doesnt make a difference because they may not have the intention on booking. It's just Part and parcel is what it is... And yea tell me about Dallas and Houston. I've gotten better at it during the time I been here but when I 1st came down it was intricate because they dont have numbered streets so I would have to figure out which block was what...And anything with a freeway address was always a trip.
