Guest tomcal Posted June 1, 2015 Share Posted June 1, 2015 Junior who owns Pointe 202 sauna and who used to own the sauna Estacao in Copa is opening a new rent boy sauna in Botofogo also called Estacao this Friday 5/8. The location is the site of a gay sauna that did not have rentboys. The previous reviews all faulted the small rooms, small video room and small locker area..let's hope not everything stays small! It looks to be a good 8 block or more walk from the Metro station, so looks like it is a Taxi ride, but Botofogo is the next metro stop after Copacabana so quick ride if you are in Copa or Ipanema. And would not go back again. It was kind of smallish. Not sure it was even larger than the old Estacao. Definitely smaller than Pointe 202, Clube 117 or Meio Mundo. They had some kind of problems with venting of the toilets when I was there and the second floor smell like a sewer. I assumed it was eventually fixed but didn't want to waste money going back when the two in Ipanema and the one in Flamengo on Rua Correa Dutra were so far superior. If anyone has heart issues from the stress of having sex with too-hot Brasilian hookers, it is only about a block away from Rio's best heart hospital, Pro-Cardiaco. No word yet, my friend had heard they still have 2 yrs on their lease but maybe the owner wants them out sooner if he has a potential sale. I can't imagine what they could convert it to other then another sauna! Which what is was when Junior leased it back in 2002/2003, it had been a straight sauna. Guest tomcal Posted August 2, 2015 Share Posted August 2, 2015 Yes it is in business, it's been described by more then one person, as "cute". looks nice inside, painted and atmosphere nice, but few escorts and a small place I think there is only room for about 10 or 12 persons to sit in the bar area!(although they have not had that many people in the place at one time so far!) So not conducive to socializing! I am going to break my rule about not posting anymore pics this one time to show what the place looks like, since Tealady isn't in Rio at the present to show the photos around!! I don't have any plans to visit this new sauna unless I hear wonderful things about it (unlikely). Considering that the sauna is so small compared to other saunas, it is probable that clients can expect to see a minimal amount of garotos available at any given time. From what I understand this is the first such 'incident' and it is a shame that one bad apple if you will is having such an outsized impact, but we fully understand that you must protect your relationships with the rapazes.
