Guest Boxer Posted September 4, 2006 Share Posted September 4, 2006 I went to see her last time she was here 5 years ago i think. Interesting ship with the book fair on deck no tours when we went. Staffed by volunteers the books seems to me to be mainly of a religious nature. But the trip through the dock yards is very interesting. It is the Star of India first built about 1862 and was used as as a passenger ship in 1871 carrying emigrants from England to New Zeland, Australia and even to California. Pehaps there are more old type ships in the world? Only a Google Search will tell!
