Four Aces, Sounds like a great plan to me. I'm bored out of my mind at my job, but hard to walk away from ~$200k a year with no plan to replace it. I'm envious of those who find better options.

I think cats not being loyal and affectionate is a myth that dog lovers like to tell. We have cats, and we can't keep them off us. They follow us around the house, they're always very loving and affectionate. Cats. Because they're as good as a dog and you don't have to take them for walks.

Personally, I found the list very hot. I had to go beat off after reading it!

Teen Commits Suicide Because of Cruel Harassment
caeron replied to TotallyOz's topic in The Beer Bar
Ow. I experienced this in high school and I can relate. Poor kid. -
He's an attention whore. Those kind of people don't care what it takes to get the attention. If it requires you to be a major asshat, then so be it.

I always view it as "bitch by proxy". Someone has issues in their real life, so they work it out by kicking people online and gaining a bit of the power they don't have to deal with their real world antagonists. It is stupid and petty, but it seems to help them feel better about themselves.

Oh, I don't forgive him, but I still think he'll do more for our cause blowing apart the bullshit of the religious right than anything anyone else could do. So I still think this is great news for us.

I think this is great news for all of us. I'm sorry his road was so long and difficult, but I think the more folks who come out across the whole political spectrum the more this isn't an us versus them issue, because it's all us.

Here's a link to all the things in the same radius of ground zero: http://daryllang.com/blog/4421 This debate is just stupid and shows how much bullshit has replaced substance in the national debate.

No. I have no clue either.

My brother was a career army officer. My father was career air force. Friendly fire happens. Nobody likes to talk about it, and certainly not to the families of the soldiers killed this way, but it is a reality of war. What he sees as a 'coverup' is probably pat's fellow soldiers trying to leave the family and the country with a happier, though dishonest, story of his death. Of course they shouldn't have done it, but I am not willing to crucify them for doing it.

I'm happy with the change!

I thought this was pretty funny, but I think they should have put up charges against the passenger. Failure to obey a flight attendant is a crime, and too many bitchy prima donnas like this passenger just ignore them.

He's a politician. He says whatever he thinks people want to hear.

I've read a good part of the ruling so far, and he just trashes the hell out of the proponents in his finding of fact. Says there is no basis for this at all. I don't think we could have hoped for a stronger ruling. Higher courts typically defer to the trial court on finding of fact, and I think it is going to be a lot harder to reverse this based on his finding of fact.

I was with Wells Fargo for some years. The breaking point was when I was traveling a great deal on business. They charged me when I used someone else's ATM. Never mind the other bank's fee. THEY added a fee! When I complained, they said "just use our ATMs". My retort was "and where in London do you have an ATM?" Fortunately, I found out that since I was as a child covered by USAA, I was eligible to rejoin as an adult. For those who don't know. USAA is a bank for military and their families. It's non-profit and is both insurance and banking. I now bank remotely with them. The first 10 atm fees a month are rebated to me so I no longer have to worry about where I get money. I have to post my deposits, but it seems a small price to pay. I would imagine in a survey banks would be among the most hated consumer institutions around.

Not in Oregon yet, thank god. My wife loves them and wouldn't stop going!

As an ex-smoker, I'm not judgmental, but I've become really intolerant. For whatever reason after quitting, smoke really bothers me a lot now. I think I have an allergic reaction or something. Other ex-smokers experience the same thing?

I've had many favorites over the years, but If I had to pick one, I'd pick Belami's Ethan Clark. Not sure what about this boy lights me up, but it does. Followed closely by Renato Amoroso in his day. Yum.

I went to Cornell, in upstate NY. There was only one gay bar in town and it was for everyone. That feels normal to me. I have never understood the whole men only thing. Though to be fair, I've read about straight girl gangs crashing gay male places with strippers and taking over and I don't think that would be cool.

Greg, Keep trying. I quit several times, once for 3 years, before it finally stuck. It took some years, but I don't miss it now. I'm not sure what the magic formula for quitting is except to not give up.
