This is my 23rd trip to Thailand and it started very well as I managed to get, unusual in those expensive times, still very good rate so decided to visit few countries in the region. Started very well with plane full and departing on time. I usually travel with carry on only and so did this time but airline appealed before boarding to check carry on as dur to full load. Several. In May I took first train of the day from Swampy, this time I managed still to catch last one from Siam to Sala Daeng, walked through still busy Thaniya to Raya. Front door was closed as expected since it was past midnight but sign pointed to service elevator in the back. As veteran of that place I knew process anyways, there was still somebody on the reception, they checked me in smoothly requiring 1000 baht deposit. And I found myself in paradise again.
