In my opinion even 1100 is very good deal for Malaysia considering that rooms are very spacious, resembling room not not cubicle

How do you keep the spirit of Thailand alive once you return home?
vinapu replied to AlexThompson's topic in Gay Thailand
Daily I visit this forum and read Gaybutton and Sawatdenetwork as well. Daily check ChristianPFC blog if there are new entries and every so often ShamelessMack's one as well . About twice a year a read again all my trip reports here. Yes , also watch Thai porn from time to time and pretty regularly watch again one of GHtaimove movies as well as Bangkok G Story- a lot of aerial vistas of Bangkok in those . Pass by two Thai restaurants daily and sometimes eat there. Have friend who visits Thailand regularly on business , usually in different times than me so he brings fresh news, unfortunately not from boys front as he is heavy on soi Cowboy and Nana. All that keeps me buzzed up about things Thai. Can't say I spent time planning next trip but think about it plenty and then there's spark and bookings are done. Uneven nature of work duties makes some months out of bounds , on another hand there other where getting time off is no issue even on very short notice , but of course money is. I did not notice any withdrawal syndrome because I know that at one point of year I will go, hell or high water. Long flights are no problem but jet lags are with 2 and 3 rd after arrival the worst. Before trip I don't make any plans to see particular boys because I learned over years that almost always they are not available/ interested any more / don't look attractive as before etc. so better not to be too disappointed -
yes and they have an advantage of being airconditioned but we should take into consideraion that Bangkok traffic is legendary and sometimes , particularly during daytime, even short distance may take long time
-
you are not spamming anything , don;t worry every bar guy will know where nearest short time room will be, Tawan boys may even invite you to Sun massage just next door to utilize short time space there
-
he is supposed to be straight although I always wonder how really straight are those guys who are going to bed with other guys, I know , money speaks but stil... Mekhin may be looking at 2500 short time although with age his looks may not be what it was before but he always was known for being friendly and attitude-free

true, but moment when he undresses and even better, I help him to undress is always cherished.
-
obviously they under-researched subject
-
That's unfortunately case of everywhere, not just Thailand
-
a bit of visible pubic hair looks the same
-
hoping that 15000 forcibly removed families erase that from their minds is tall order Mr. Ratnasate I'd say

I like this sentence ending an article you gave us link to " Many would rather not face the truth. Many would rather let sex workers suffer silently when exploited by an underground industry, so that Thais can continue to smile. ", how true !

My advice was to travellers only. But it wouldn't hurt if people contemplating move to another country permanently considered it as well and thought 'what will happen if my currency goes down by half and at the same time prices in my new country will go up twice". I understand your point about expats but those you describe are victims of lack of foresight , poor planning and bad luck. In most cases they have nobody to blame , even themselves, it's just circumstances did not work to their original specifications. Changing countries and environment always carries both risks and rewards and one who decides to move must expect first but at the same time hope for the second. Burning boats is good for a movies but very rarely works in real life. We tend to forget that with age our health is expected to deteriorate and day may come when we need somebody to make us tea and buy us bread, then that boat may come handy. So many now are paying price for having those boys in their bed for trifling cost as you said. Nobody was complaining before that having guy long time costs less than train ticket to the airport at home. Most of us are coming to Thailand for illusions, it turns out that some of those illusions are not what we hoped for.

I think you are right 125 %. While T0ol1 is good meaning I don't think simply purchasing an artificial eye on e-bay and just inserting it without professional input is good idea

Buy yourself one, you won't be jealous, no need to drive. We all have plenty of things we bought and don't use
-
another hero , unfortunately without foresight

it can be said safely that we have at least those 2 things in common

yes , yes and yes. Whenever I arrive in BKK in middle of the night and walk through deserted Patpong at 3 a.m I say to myself " fuck, show me another place in the world where you can be in empty red light district in middle of the night and feel completely safe" and this is just an example of what I admire about the country- feeling safe days week , 25 hours par day. I'd not be throwing big words like racism at people who may not like this or that in other cultures or countries. Not liking Israeli airlines , not to mention politics does not make one antisemitic nor laughing at way UK is handling Brexit is reason to consider Caucasian inferior race. Adage you quoting is very wise and universal, worth teaching all who are considering or forced to relocate to other country or society and is a receipt for happier life. After all if one moves to Greenland and hates snow, what's the point. ( that's why I'd never move to Thailand, I hate heat and were missing 4 seasons ). Travellers are different category and should be given some slack as complainers. Often we find ourselves travelling somewhere just out of curiosity and in such a case we are not under obligation to like or even less praise of what we see. Very few people , if any , go to Auschwitz, My Lai or Killing Fields expecting fun

You mean one can buy an eye in Thailand on eBay for 330 baht, I did not get it / English is not my first language/
-
Not quite, Bangkok skyline is of first class city not to mention second to none erotic industry

following old advice ' bring half stuff and twice as much money ' always helps
