Also before bar hopping I make sure I have enough small notes so i don't need to wait for a change which at times never arrives or is in wrong amount. No need to be paranoid as it happens very rarely but as we see by story above it does from time to time even in best run bars ( I was waiting for a change which never arrived in Jupiter at old location ) I like system in some bars where you pay for drink at the door / Jupiter, sometimes Tawan on weekend / , less options for abuse.

that was an impression I had reading your report - that you were tipping too fast , hence my comment. I'm not commenting on your tipping habits but only on their distribution in time, I too like to tip people who are making my vacations more fun. Even if it adds up, in most cases it enhances experience for relatively little outlay. All we need to do is to ensure that we are tipping when we want , not when somebody asks for it.

quite recently I asked one boy I offed few times if that's true that Indians are very stingy tippers and by his reaction I judged he was a bit surprised by my comment, answer was ' some have money and spend it" so at end of day they may not be that stingy as legend has it. It may be the same as with us farangs, some are nursing drink whole night and leave 20 Baht tip to boy sitting with them all that time but it doesn't meant most of us are such economizers

I definitely don't see them in girl bars because I don't patronize these but during last stay in Pattaya I saw Arab looking men in company of girls on Walking street so they are not as shy as we think. Did not notice any in Sunee bars but I saw few in BT bars as well.

I was there with Christian PFC about month ago, boys on twinky side . Bar easy to find as sign is visible from Suriwong and there were touts in the mouth of the soi- this is how I learned about that bar. Few years ago it was boy bar called Heartthrob at the same location

unfortunately , if we tip too liberally i.e. right left , and center somebody may think we are light touch with money and may try to exploit situation by pestering for more or trying to overcharge. problems with ladies in the audience often is that we are competing with them from losing position for boys attention. I agree that for looks boys there are first class all but is their performance when offed as great as their looks? To put it mildly, based on my own and few people's I know and trust their opinion - experience can be mixed to put it mildly. I agree but it pays not to use too rosy glasses. VERY RARELY but it happened to me that boy repeatedly offed and always generously compensated took it for granted and tried either to bump up his tip , to slack off a bit or sneak out before time agreed which is cardinal sin for paid encounters in my book.
