I don't think so, with so many long time offs I'd notice something out of pattern, but no. Sure emergencies happen from time to time but statistically irrelevant. We may have such impression because often we feed them in places where food is bit different from what they normally eat. I'm one of those who don't care about nationality but since I seem to have unusually good luck with Lao guys and can praise them to no end , it quite possible that somebody may have unusually bad luck with Vietnamese , Khmer, hairy chested, cross-eyed, you name it and venting his frustration may be warranted. I'm happy for spoon with his good luck on both accounts - often criticized Viet boys and unheralded Screwboys, our last line of consolation when all other bars are closed as they are opened much longer.

BBB Inn is where that massage place was. name escaped me but I will never forget my first visit when mamasan practically ordered me to take this guy and i'm forever gratefull he did yes , definitely that one, you and Daydreamer made my day, thank you I know guy you are taking about ( only as a waiter though ) as well as his two sons, he introduced them proudly to me at one point.

yes , start with Tawan. I agree about speedoo1 coments above about Lumpini, go, see but don't count on hook up. If you are more familiar with guys then you stand better chance somebody will notice your familiar face ( happened to me twice) but if you are newbie, no. But park is great and hardly my day in BKK goes without me strolling there . Gym is close to clock tower, when you enter through main gate, one with statue in front turn right into first alley just past drinks/ coffee shack and keep going more or less straight without going too deep into park . watch for monitor lizards crossing the roads and for muscly boys going to and from gym, one of them may smile at you ( don't count on it but it happened, one of Tawan boys recognized but unfortunately not one I liked ) as for money Baht are better, I had odd case when boy did not seem happy with USD although it's not much hassle to exchange for them , everybody likes easy life. You'd not be happy with payment in , say , euros at home in NYC either Counters in airport railway station / not airport itself, station in in the basement, lowest level/ have one of best rates everywhere, don't buy Baht in USA as rate will be worse. Notes with old and new kings are in circulation so is quite a variety

I guess after a while we will get used to new format and all changes it brought to our forum participation routine
