When I went there I didn't see any monkeys but having been swimming in one of the many pools, I saw a Monitor Lizard paddling about and crawled out of the water. It wasn't a threat and a great experience to see 👌😎 Erawan falls is a must do along with everything else in Kanchanaburi......it's a gem of a place to visit and very humbling, especially the 'death railway' tour and the amazing museum 👌🥹

I actually really enjoy the Bingo in the @home bar 👌😆😎

Why?........I find it one of my favourite cities.

The Quarter is very good indeed. Price gone up a lot since it first opened but great service and nice rooms. Even had Netflix and an open account left by previous occupant 😆 In short, very very convenient 👍

Maybe better to have a couple of nights booked at the Zing Hotel next to the Agate and make a weekend of it, Zing is very reasonable 👍

As well as Bangkok you could have a couple of nights in Jomtien and visit Sansuk Sauna. Nice sauna which has very nice accomodation also at a reasonable price 👍. busiest Friday and Saturday 👍 https://sansukthailand.com/

What is your opinion?

I've stayed in Jomtien Palm Beach Hotel and have no complaints. It is reasonable, massive, huge rooms but it is an old hotel now so allow a little bit of a tired look. Has a bowling alley, massive fabulous swimming pool and great breakfast. Main thing is it very close to the Jomtien Complex. It is a perfect location. Another great peaceful hotel is the Agate Boutique hotel, right within the complex itself, looking out onto the bars. Great tropical oasis pool at the rear too. It's spot on. As for the Andaz, it's way too far for the gay scene. And why waste money there on accomodation?......it's more expensive than the Hilton 🥴

I viewed i viewed the Rose and walked out as it was not too clean. lobby was ok but not the room. i can't comment on the others but i have tried TheQuarter Hotel which is modern and new. Great location 👌

A bit of a contradiction to say it's too far then say its only 4 hours? My advice,....... seize the moment and don't over think it. Life's too short.
