  6. Almost every establishment has a security guard. Before you enter the MRT, the malls, 711s. All have guards. Pretty common you'll get used to it.
  7. I am from the Philippines and I agree that its better to stay in the provinces than in Manila. Unlike Bangkok, its kinda hard to navigate Manila especially when your a solo traveler. Tip: If your going to make Manila as your base, its cheaper to fly from Clark Airport to the provinces.
