Is an actor speaking in another accent betraying himself?

Does an actor portraying Hitler have to be an evil murdering dictator? -
It's an image that they are made to show. For some reason Korean girl fans love it.

Innocent until proved dead.

He can't what?

Very possibly a-47. It could also have been a long lost bar in Saphan Kwai where they dressed as Red Indians (sorry, native Americans).

I thought they wore flaps at Krazy..

The 'Fat Lady' you so impolitely refer to is 'OMA' (OM AM from an earlier Voice Thailand) with an amazing voice, personality, Gay friendliness and repertoire --- pity you couldn't mention any of those attributes to describe her.

Bitter?

Same on Win 10.

I think that is confusing between Pattaya Boyztown and Silom Soi 4.

Yes Maurice, It was a mystery about changing to straight especially as they were a bit weird. It was certainly popular with a mixed crowd from Hong Kong, Vietnam etc and advertised on radio as "the most popular and famous disco in S.E. Asia "(no orientation mentioned). And yes Peter, it certainly went through a few names though I'm almost sure it was still called Rome after it's metamorphosis to 'straight'. Maybe it was nameless at he time of it's collapse into Balcony. I was referring to the property. I'm sure that Stuart at Balcony would remember clearly all the history of soi 4 from his Telephone and Balcony 30+ years. Now, if only I could remember where I left my copies of Men of Thailand ...................................

I used to frequent Rome Club in the days. My boyfriend at the time was a waiter there and one night, overnight, all the gay staff were given he sack. The two gay owners decided they wanted it to become a straight disco probably due to it's amazing mixed success and fame all over S.E. Asia. Sadly (for them) it immediately flopped ---- they tried it for about a year but it never recovered. So, they turned it gay again. Only to be boycotted by the gay staff and customers who remembered the way they were treated earlier. The two owners retired to an island somewhere and were both murdered. Later, under new ownership it was being renovated and the structure was so bad, the front and side walls collapsed taking down some of Balcony's left hand wall and stairs. Well, that's what I recall over the eons some of which may have been coloured by last night's Leo, cheese and walnut nightcap and vivid dreams.

Recently, I was talking with a friend and referred to D.J.Station as a 'disco'. His response --"my god, How old ARE you?" P.S. I'm actually SO old that I think of a club as something one has to be a member of.

Is this the same as the original 'Pong 'who used to write completely indecipherable messages? I think I met him once in a bar. He was with a long gone (from this board) writer on the board Sanitaree Napkin, or something like that.

Pong 1 ?

Yes Peter. I was mentally comparing it to the situation at U.K.'s hospitals with patients waiting up to a couple of days for attention. I agree that English is a problem but everybody seems eager to assist. I accompany my Thai friend and he arrives and puts his I.D. card into one of dozens of registration machines (always someone there to help). He then gets a yard long strip of 'till receipt' strip of printed paper' with detailed step by step instructions of everything to do that day. I half heartedly asked the girl helping if they had an English version and she said "no problem" , pushed a button and out came a similar strip, all in English. Surely the biggest problem there is the dozens of packed lifts.

Thanks DD for the link. I don't know if you know that district but the hospital is huge, no HUGE. Very modern and if you go into the outpatient's department it is so clean (polished marble etc.) but HUNDREDS of people milling there. Everybody coming to assist. I'm very good with my helpless farang act (not so much of an act these days). Sorry, I'm drifting off topic again The site stretches from Silom up to Siam incorporating the university. I was curious and asked Google how many staff work there. Their reply was that there were no figures separating university and medical staff but the total was 37,000!

You seem to know me so well. But who mentioned stairs? I'm certainly older than you, in fact 18 months older than God.

There are Pulse clinics all over. At least one listed in Pattaya and a few in Bangkok. Even one on Silom close to Soi 2 and another near to where I live in a very Japanese neighbourhood.
