My friend has just discovered he's HIV+ and his doctor insisted that I went to the Red Cross just along from Chula Hospital to have a test myself. It is under the water tower halfway between Sala Daeng and Ratchadamri skytrain stations. What nice ,helpful and considerate people there. Fill in a computer form, upstairs to pay 210 Baht, then the prick(!). Result in one hour or by email. Result negative. Only had the test once before, scores of years ago,(to get a mortgage) and wait ten days for the result (think of the torment in the past waiting TEN DAYS). The red Cross centre is part of the Chulalongkorn hospital but considerably cheaper. Almost a pleasant experience.

Le Bouchon hasn't been in Patpong for a year or two. Now it has moved to the original(?) Babylon building on the corner and with an outside terrace.. Same excellent food and open lunchtimes for reasonably priced set meals.

I would think if you're consulting a paid for 'therapist' (love that term) your looks would be irrelevant if he is straight.

Excellent reports thank you. Wish I could write like that. But -'papasan' --- they are all mamasan regardless of apparent gender. 'mama' doesn't suggest female mother. Sorry to be a pedant but I do love the euphemism 'therapist' Thanks again..

Still can't type real words, eh?

Being afraid is not being an hypocrite.

Just another excuse to start a subject thread? Well everyone has to have a hobby.

Gosh, I'm suspicious. I don't think he would have returned here without prior knowledge of the outcome and following actions. I just wonder what was the reason for going to Singapore/Dubai in the first place. Sure as sure can be -- it wasn't for a medical checkup.

I player only available within the U.K., but there's VPN I suppose.

I've lived and worked near Soi 4 for 25 years and had no idea where he was referring to. I assumed it was Pnom Penh.
-
Correcto! Is he/she still around? Is Khun Bon still around?
-
Yes indeed. I know it from at least 25+ years ago and not only gay bars, girly bars (not from experience) and Issan huge straight bars (from experience). Ao, as KLG says "nonsense".

Could be the strange Thai logic of increasing prices when times are bad to compensate for lower turnover.

Zero percent! I worked all my working life in the business.

I was referring to deodorant commercials.

I'm always confused by TV commercials which advertise 'good for 72hours'. Does that mean no showers for 3 days?
-
	Which month would that be?

When working, I often had meetings with Indian HiSo clients. They knew about their reputation for odour and always over compensated with cheap colognes. I don't know which was worse. And don't mention Indonesian cigarettes! (Cloves?). I ought to add that at times I've overdosed on cheese. Thais say they could smell it oozing out with perspiration.

At one time here, all waiting staff in restaurants, bars and clubs had to wear name or number badges (straight or gay).

All waiters are available in go-go bars and the like. Not available to 'off' in places like Balcony, Circus or Connections but many would be agreeable to a meet up after closing (and NO off fees).
