Inside the sauna, it is perfectly safe. Make sure to take a Uber/Taxi to go there at night. Going out with the boys, wandering the streets at night are not so safe in Brazil

I did I took a bus from Rio central bus station, pretty comfortable, only 2 -3 hours I remember I booked hotels from bookings - Colonna Galapagos Boutique Hotel Buzios is very pretty, it has like 6 - 8 beaches.

@ShivRoy Which parts of Sao Luis is getting very dangerous? I was there in August too, my hotel was near a big lagoon, it feels okay.

Sao paulo is so odd with population 10X many other smaller cities, its client base can only support one sauna? How is that? I expect SP to have at least 5 good paid saunas

A question for guys who knows portuguese well. 100 reais sounds like sem reais == no money to me would that cause confusion in the conversion?

Thanks for sharing experience outside Rio and SP! I also visited Sao Luis in August for my first time. Although my real destination is lençóis maranhenses, I stopped over the city for 3 days. Lençóis maranhenses is so beautiful by the way, well worth my flight tickets. In the sauna, most guys ask for 200R though, apparently I was quoted the gringo price because I am an obvious gringo ... I did not think much at that time because I went there from Rio where 200R is pretty normal. Now I figured out after checking other folks report. I will be better prepared next time. Other than that, I quite enjoy my Sao Luis trip. The old city is beautiful and it only takes 3 hours to visit all the main tourist attractions. Only if there is more maintenance to it. The poverty and lack of maintenance is hard to ignore while visiting the old city. The boys are humble next door boys type. Compared to Rio, they are like 202 guys. There is no big muscles guys like 117 if that is your thing. They are pretty laid back and easy going. During my visit, Thursday > Wed > Friday in terms of how busy the sauna is

I had issues with photos too. I fixed it by uploading a new version based on their requirements on their website, and it went through, got visa a coupe days later. I do not remember you need to Fedex anything ... only need to upload again also you can check reddit/brazil, there is a mega thread about visa there

oh wow, sounds like Salvador is getting better. I visited Salvador in 2021, not impressed in that trip, very few garotos. Looking forward to visit again next year
