Any good hotel or Airbnb recommendations for São Paulo - handy for gay and tourist attractions?

The Gay Pride Parade is on June 22d. I tried to book the Renaissance Hotel, but it is already sold out. Looking at other Sao Paolo Marriotts, they are all sold out! Already! UPDATE: So I went to Capital One's Travel section and the Renaissance was there for $231 a night. I was going to book it, but I had to pay right now, even though it is a cancellable reservation. Should I book it just to be sure? They were going to let me use my $300 travel credit toward it, but not my points. Hmm. I'm not even sure I would go, but the thought of so many hot Brasilian guys in one place, mostly shirtless, is quite appealing. The reservation would be for June. The $300 c…

I checked out Python Sauna in São Paulo again tonight, Sunday, and unfortunately it was really quiet. Even the guys working there looked down, and a friend who went on Saturday said it was the same. Some of the workers mentioned it feels like the place is going downhill. It’s a shame, because the owner is genuinely a nice guy and seems to care, but I get the impression some of the workers are taking advantage of that. I honestly don’t see it surviving much longer if things continue like this. Just thought I’d share my recent experience since I had written about it a few months back, before Pride, when it seemed more promising.

Has anyone stayed there? Details? Is it worth being close to Lagoa? From what I can tell, it is a revamped Comfort Inn.
