Getting smiles at Jupiter? Wow. That is newsworthy indeed! I like the type of guys who work at Jupiter. But indeed, due to the lack of interest they show and the lack of attention they give, it's never been one of my favorite bars. I'd rather have a somewhat good-looking guy who actually puts in some effort to get your attention than an A-list hunk who comes across as arrogant.

Looks very interesting! Can't wait for first report about this new place.

Did somebody try out this place? With it's shop being "far away" in east Pattaya, maybe it's possible to let one of their boys come to Jomtien to your hotel? Don't know if they do "outcall"?

Apparently they found a way to verify your age because on X I can watch adult content again. Via the X app, but when I try via the website it doesn't always work.

In an attempt to shift the topic of this post from smelly Indians to sexy Russians, I tried using the "location option" on Grindr to find (gay for pay) Russian hunks in Pattaya. I've tried a few times, but so far, unfortunately, without success. If I'm back in Pattaya in November, a Russian guy would be a welcome change from all the Asian beauties.

I came across this video: This new (?) gay hostel in Bangkok seems te be next door to 1/0 sauna (see linked posts below) and of the same owner. A hostel isn't my preferred type of accommodation. I like privacy and a bit of luxury. I see a hostel more as a budget option for backpackers. Young people. And I haven't considered myself young for a while now, and I dare say that applies to 99% of the forum members here. But the video does make me curious. After all, they also have private rooms besides the dorms. But what I'm especially curious about is the green/red slider on the room doors. You can use it to indicate that you don't want to be disturbed/are sleeping (red) or that others are allowed in because you're up for "fun" (green). And on a mirror in the building, you can leave messages and see which rooms are looking for or offering what... "room 304: greedy bottom." A very cruisy hostel... The private rooms are small and basic, but they look new and clean. And where can you find a private room in the heart of Silom for around 25 euros a night? Someone who wants to give it a go? Soi 4 is still for sale on that site. I'd expect the land in this prime location to quickly sell to a developer who could build yet another modern shopping mall (as if there weren't enough of those in Bangkok...). But it's been on the market for four months... I don't know anything about realistic prices in Bangkok, but perhaps the asking price is a bit high, which is why it hasn't sold yet? Let's hope the soi remains the gay hotspot it is for a while longer. I still miss Soi Twilight when I'm in Bangkok, so what if Soi 4 disappears too?

In 2023 I had a wonderful stay at https://baantyewang.top/ I love traveling at a leisurely pace. A one-day trip to Ayutthaya is certainly doable, but especially if you're in Thailand for a longer period, why not relax and spend one night there? And one night without the bartenders and massage therapists should be doable, right? Haha This guesthouse is modern, with friendly staff. It has a beautiful garden. You can arrange a tuk-tuk through the guesthouse to take you to all the temples. It's an ideal combination of culture and sightseeing, but also a place to relax and get away from the big city of Bangkok for a night or two.

I like to type of guys at both "History of Massages"and "Klover". But their website / twitter doesn't mention any details suggesting there is "more" possible than just a massage... Not T, B, Straight or Gay remarks at the boys for example. How do we know if the boys are willing to do some "hanky panky"?

I always go for the "in between option". After a long flight I like to be in my hotel as quick as possible in a convenient way. Official metered taxi always works out fine for me. Years ago, there could be long waiting lines at the taxi stand. But in the last few years, I've always been able to get in a taxi right away. Cheaper than limo-service, quicker and more easy than train.

As a European, I fell victim to X hastily blocking all adult content for users who haven't proven they're 18+. I'm generally in favor of certain content being inaccessible to children, but if you implement an 18+ block, you obviously have to ensure someone can verify their age so you can access all the content. And X decided to implement the block, but not give you any way to verify your age. How stupid. They say they're "working" on implementing age verification. Until then? No porn or nude images via X. For the first few days, this could be avoided by changing your location in the settings to a country outside Europe or the UK. I set it to Thailand. And yes, I could watch everything again. Unfortunately, that didn't last long. Then this option was also blocked by X. Only by using a (free) VPN can I currently watch 18+ content on X. Anyway; Now that I can watch X-rated content again, I came across this hottie: He's promoting a new (?) gay social app. Has anyone heard of this before, or perhaps already uses it (in Thailand)?

You're going to be so mad with me AGAIN... First last year when we met in Bangkok and you found out I've never been to Moonlight. And now because I never been to Sunee Plaza ever... And I've been in Pattaya many times. But... I always thought the boys in Sunee are not my (read: our...) taste of boys? Too thin, too feminine. Tell me if I'm wrong.

I'm feeling old thinking about the first years I came to Thailand (2012 was my first time) and I paid 2000 to the best looking barboys to take him home for short time, and 1500 was considered good rate for meeting up with freelancer via the apps in Bangkok... Inflation hits hard, also in Thailand. Of course, I realize that everyone is different and has different preferences. But personally, I'm never a fan of long-term. The biggest reason for this is that I love my privacy. I enjoy having company around me. Going out to dinner together, having a drink at a bar. And of course, intimacy in the bedroom. But I really prefer to sleep alone. Without anyone by my side. Another reason for me is that I'm overly aware that with a money boy, it's a business transaction. I enjoy having a money boy for company for an evening, but for a whole night, let alone a weekend or a week; no. Then I too often start to think he's only here for the money and isn't really interested in me at all. Or, as Olddaddy poetically put it: And because I feel that way, I'm not interested in becoming too friendly. Somehow, after sex, I quickly get tired of a guy. Precisely because I sense there's no connection on a friendship or emotional level. I'd rather split my money among different money guys for different nights than rent one guy for a longer period. Although I have to say, I've made more good discoveries in all these years than bad ones. But that might be because I've always been very critical of bars or apps. These days, I have two regulars who I alternate with new discoveries. This way, I'm guaranteed quality with the ones I already know, but I can also make plenty of new discoveries during the vacation. A perfect combination. But even the regulars are only there for short-term dates. No overnights or longer.

Not entirely in line with the original question in this thread, but: I've been using Line to connect with local guys when I'm in Thailand, but I haven't used the option to get updates from massage places yet. Can someone explain what I need to do to get those updates? Is there a list of massage places that send updates via Line that I can subscribe to?

Did see this in a Facebook group, but it didn't get reactions yet whether or not there is a new gay sauna in Jomtien... Maybe somebody on this forum has more information? Or it's simply not true...

Off course there are many massage shops in Bangkok, and many threads on this forum are about them with so much reviews, pics taken from line from their staff, etc. BUT: because of the high amount of posts about it, it is a bit hard to get track of it. That's why I have this question: I like my boys not to be too thin. I like a bit of muscles on the body, maybe even a 6pack. Also, I like to inspect goods before buying. I would never buy a couch online without having tried how it sits in a store. So I would be looking for massage place old style: where they have staff on site and maybe even do a line-up for you to choose your boy. A manager who can listen to what you are looking for and do good recommendations about which boy to book, instead of a mamasan who claims "all boys do everything". I do not trust picking your guy from pictures en pre-book him, as many have said photoshop is often used or they post old pictures. How embarrassing would it be when arriving at massage shop and your pre-booked guy does not live up to your expectations based on his pictures? Did this ever happend to you and how did you deal with this? About the massage place: I like it to be clean, not too old. Good (and again: clean) shower in the room. Maybe even a bath for some pre- or after-massage wet fun with the boy? Yeah; I might be looking for a bit of a luxurious place instead of a shabby massage room on the 6th floor of and old building. Also preferable in of near silom area, not having to take BTS or MTR to completely other side of Bangkok. Am I asking too much? Because all of my doubts and wishes in all the years visiting Bangkok I rarely went to massage place but always took my guys from the host bars.
