I am writing this final part about my last two days in Bangkok while sitting at the airport waiting for my flight to London. It is a bit of a detour, because I am actually supposed to go to Amsterdam, but the war in the Middle East has turned my flight schedule upside down a bit. So I will fly to London soon, spend a night in a hotel at the airport there, and then continue on to Amsterdam tomorrow. My second-to-last day in Bangkok once again had a dinner with a number of forum members on the agenda. This time at Happy Beer Garden. I have to admit that I had actually never eaten there before. Tonight was an evening of many visits to various bars and other venues. It started early in the evening at BEEF. They were celebrating their birthday with a flea market. Very busy, there was a lively atmosphere. The concept appealed to me. Various vendors selling everything from (second-hand) clothing to sex toys (not second-hand, I hope...) and from food and snacks to quick sketch artists for mini portraits. And all of this while the beats blasted from the speakers. I was with another forum member. We decided to take a look at Side. Never been there before. But I didn't feel unwelcome, as another forum member wrote in earlier report. The staff were also friendly towards me. You enter via the stairs on the first floor, where the bar and a small, dark darkroom are located. The "event" was taking place in that darkroom. Other rooms for cruising were on two other floors. Some were themed, e.g., a classroom or an office. I didn't see much action, but what I did see were guys just carrying on with each other when I came to take a quick look. They didn't seem to mind having an "audience." The event of the evening turned out to be a hired (porn) model that anyone who wanted to could play with. Back in Bangkok for the last five nights of my vacation. This time, I am staying once again at the familiar Ibis Styles Silom. I do like a modern room, so I’ll settle for a slightly smaller room, as some forum members suggest. For me, it is more than big enough. In the evening, three forum members and I were supposed to meet up for dinner at G's. However, more joined us during dinner, and eventually, there were seven of us. It turned out that many forum members were in town. A number had individual plans for the evening and had arranged to meet up with guys (regular or new). So, just as some forum members dropped by, others went their separate ways. We had a few more drinks at Midnight Bar, where several forum members brought their boy of the night along as well. It was very enjoyable. I had arranged with a forum member to take a look at the shower show at EDT (Eau de Toilette) this evening. In Phnom Penh, I stayed at the Arthur & Paul Resort (A&P). Here too, the rule applies: you get the lowest price by booking directly with the hotel. This is in contrast to Bangkok, where, strangely enough, I often find a lower price for a hotel through a booking site like booking.com or trip.com. The new Phnom Penh airport is beautiful, by the way. A very large, beautifully shaped roof. I find the architecture very beautiful. See photo. Unfortunately, the airport is quite far from the city. It was a drive of well over 45 minutes to my hotel. It has been many years since I stayed at A&P. Before COVID. Because during COVID, they closed for a renovation period. The hotel rooms on the first floor have disappeared. There are only five rooms left on the second floor. Where there used to be hotel rooms on the first floor, there is now a locker room, a cruising area, and two beautiful massage rooms. On the ground floor, where there used to be a small massage room, there is now a new dry sauna. With a large window. When you are in the sauna, you see all the guys walking past through the cruising area. Very nicely done. There is a virtual tour video on the internet where you can see everything. See below. The hotel is well-maintained and luxurious. Highly recommended. And the sauna and cruising area are busy with visitors from outside. It can get crowded when the sun goes down. Nice. The massages are also very good. In luxury rooms with a comfortable massage table. There are currently five massage guys working at the hotel. I saw three of them immediately on Grindr (see photo). And they are willing to do more than just massage... You can communicate pleasantly with them in English and their massage skills are good. The staff at A&P are all friendly, like to chat, and are very helpful. The massage guys are also the ones who take your suitcase to your room for you. If I remember correctly, some time ago there was something written on the forum about Side bar in Bangkok. The cruising bar that also do shows. Trying to find this post again as I a want to read about the show times etc that I can find back in the social media of Side. Only starting and end times, but not what times the shows are. The domestic departures terminal is very small. Check in and security very smooth, but than you end up is small waiting area with only one small shop with limited choice of food and drink. Would have expected a bit more of this new modern big airport. International departures might be a different kind of story, no idea. I wrote this about my experience on Sunday evening. On Monday, however, there was hardly anyone cruising in the sauna and steam room. Tuesday was busy again. Although it started a bit later, it was quite busy from 7 p.m. onward. So it seems that the number of cruises at MEN's Resort varies somewhat depending on the day. I'll be there! Arriving from Cambodia Saturday afternoon.

After a two-hour flight from Kuala Lumpur, I arrived in Siem Reap, Cambodia. This was my first time using the new airport. Everything went very smoothly (immigration and baggage claim), and outside the building are three different telecom company offices where you can buy a SIM card with internet very cheaply. The new airport is so far from the city! It took me an hour to reach my hotel. There's a very nice new road for most of it, but the speed limit there is only 60 km/h. That's not very fast. I arrived at the MEN'S Resort hotel. After settling into my room, I went to relax by the pool. Between five and six, many men entered the resort to use the sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and cruising area. A mix of older Western tourists and young Khmer boys. The dimly lit steam room seemed particularly popular for cruising. The lockable cabins were also frequently used. Nudity is not permitted in or around the pool. In the cruising area, including the steam room, jacuzzi, etc., nudity is permitted. Men walk around with a small towel. Some with nothing underneath, but many with underwear on. Just to be clear: anyone not staying at the resort can still use the facilities for a small entrance fee. Massages are also available and can be booked through reception. Peak cruising time is between about 7 and 8:30 PM. After 9 PM, it completely empties out. So it's a relatively short window to "peak"... Haha. Even I, as a somewhat chubby 45-year-old man, had some guys interested because there was some touching here and there, especially in the steam room. Sometimes subtle, sometimes not so subtle. Since it had been years since I last visited Kuala Lumpur, I decided to stop over there for two nights. I stayed at the Ibis Styles Bukit Bintang. The location is great, right on the food street, which gets very lively in the evenings. The hotel has the advantage that you don't need a key card in the elevator (there is a card reader, but it doesn't work). So you can let young people up to your room without having to pick them up downstairs. Otherwise, I was a bit disappointed with the hotel. I've stayed at Ibis Styles hotels in several cities, including Bangkok's Silom, but this one in Kuala Lumpur really doesn't meet the standards you expect from this brand. Not that there was anything particularly wrong, but with an Ibis Styles, expectations are somewhat higher than what this hotel delivers. Not only about how the hotel and rooms look, but also with regards to choices.at breakfast buffet that were limited in my opinion. As soon as you turn on Grindr in Kuala Lumpur, the messages start pouring in. Plenty of choice. Both free offers and moneyboys. And both from good-looking guys. In my case, bottoms eagerly looking for tops. According to one of the guys, Kuala Lumpur has a surplus of bottoms and not enough tops. Maybe that's why I was so popular. The moneyboys' asking prices varied enormously. I had two asking 500 Malaysian Ringgit, but also offers of 180 MR for massage and sex and 200 RM for sex from two also very good-looking moneyboys. My return flight has a long layover, including an overnight stay at the airport hotel. I saw that alternative (direct) flights on my planned departure date were already costing over €2,000 one-way. That made me even more anxious. I found a flight from Bangkok to London with Eva Air for around €700. It can be canceled for a €150 fee. To get through the rest of my holiday relaxed, knowing I have an alternative travel plan via London, I booked this ticket. If I don't need it after all, it will have cost me €150. And that's worth the peace of mind. And is was good I did book that flight as a precaution. As for more destinations in meantime ticketprices went up.
