Was sad to see yesterday evening all atlas branding was already taken down from te building. Hope they have a good future in Soi 6. Information about many guys now moved to Tawan to work makes me feel maybe have to try out Tawan one more time...

Back in Bangkok... Probably reporting about it in more detail later. 😜 But I was not happy to see jupiter raised their cover fee (1 drink) to 600baht. I think it's too much. And told them at the door and decided not to go in. They didn't want to accept my "I will go in for old price" offer. Think should not support bar raising cover charge this high. But can't guarantee I won't be tempted later this week to do anyway...

Atlas bar is dark and closed tonight... Big question is: only closed for one night, or closed forever?....

A few notes about my stay in Pattaya the last week: I went to O Delices Bakery a few times for breakfast. It's diagonally across from Soda Massage. They have delicious breakfast combos, and the guys who work there are mostly as good as the breakfast/lunch they serve. In short: a good spot for some eye candy. I had a special Thanksgiving dinner at Zing Resort. What impressed me was the quality of the food. I don't know if their regular meals are as good, but if they have a special package for holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving, etc.), I definitely recommend it. After the shows at M2M, The Venue, and Best Bar, I also went to Candy Bar. Their show has a different theme every night, and apparently, Saturdays are their sexiest. So I checked that one out. And indeed, the guys (and ladyboys) are wearing less clothing than usual. The show has a burlesque theme. It builds up nicely. While it starts off somewhat tame, it gets a bit more risqué as the show progresses, without ever going over the edge of raunchy. The performers are passionate and connect with the audience. I had a really great evening there. It's definitely on par with my favorite M2M shows so far.

PATTAYA: THE JUICY STUFF Of course a visit to Boystown could not be missed, my once favorite bar, Boys Boys Boys, changed into a no-go area because of reasons already discussed in other forum posts. Last year I had a great night of fun in XBoys, so that was our destination that night. Me and a friend went there just before their show started. During the first show there were still more customers inside. But things heated up when most of them left after the first show. The boys became more uninhibited and willing. The fact that we offered a few drinks probably also worked. But in the end there were two boys with me who both could not leave their hands to themselves. And also let themselves be touched extensively. Furthermore, a lot of lap dances were given and teased in all kinds of ways. Cocks were coming out, named butts were shown. My friend also got a nice boy with/next to/on him, after some urging from me. So it was a great night out. The XBoys show remains as it used to be. Where other shows are declining in nudity and sexiness, this one is still as sexy and raunchy as ever. Also good to see that a guy who's been around for a long time (and is a favorite of a respected, unnamed forum member here) is still in good shape. Unlike some guys in Bangkok who have been in the business for a long time and whose body-wise, they're past their prime. Respect to this guy in XBoys for managing to stay so attractive. MASSAGE BOYS I met up with three massage boys while I was in Pattaya. Two were freelancers on Grindr and one from a massage shop. Let's start with the least experienced. The boys themselves have very sexy bodies. The massage was average. But the extra service didn't do it for me. Too mechanical. No passion. And all this while he was asking the highest price: 2,000 baht. The second boy was the cheapest, asking 1,000 baht. His massage was exactly what I requested. He paid extra attention to my feet with a more extensive foot massage, and after some instructions, the rest of my body was massaged with just the right pressure for me. It even got a bit kinky when he started licking my feet. And the rest of the sex was good too. He was visibly and audibly enjoying himself. A true gay bottom boy. Wonderful. The third massage boy, Benjamin (Ben), works in what I understand is a new massage shop on the outside of the Jomtien complex on the main street, Sala Kaya. The massage boy with the face tattoos (who previously worked in another shop and is very recognizable because of that face tattoo) also works there now. But my boy was just starting his second day in Pattaya. He's still experiencing the "fresh meat syndrome" where many men in Pattaya want to try him out because he's new to town. He told me he receives a lot of messages there, including via Grindr. On his first day of work, he had seven clients, and on his second day, I was his third client (late afternoon). He told me he even gets messages from guys back in bars in Jomtien, saying they need to earn their own money with an off first, but then they'd like to come and get a massage from him. Instead of a massage at the shop, I decided to invite him to my room. I prefer that. Especially being able to feel "at home" after the massage and take a shower in your own bathroom. Ben came in a bit shy, but he was a pleasant conversationalist. Ben speaks more than passable English. He comes from northeast Thailand, where his family (how could it be otherwise) has a farm. He studied marketing and had a hair salon in his hometown. If I understand correctly, he also gave massages there. He also arranged a visa for Europe through an agency and then traveled for three months through several countries (including Germany and France). Without the financial support of a farang. There, he worked as a massage therapist and charged European prices. He said he earned a lot of money this way, around 150 euros per massage. But he also needed that money to finance his expensive trip through Europe. He came to Pattaya well prepared. He had all kinds of vaccinations and went on the prep. However innocent he may seem, he clearly knew exactly what he was getting into... He was more than worth the 1500 baht. You could tell he had massage experience by the way he worked. The pressure he applied. The towels he used to get a grip when needed, preventing him from slipping away in the massage oil. He came well prepared, carrying several towels. The focus for the first half hour was truly on the massage. When I turned over, the good massage continued, but he did occasionally touch the "sensitive areas." The massage transitioned seamlessly into the extra service. Like a true bottom, he clearly enjoys riding a cock. This guy is highly recommended. I don't like to show a young man completely identifiable for privacy reasons, but based on the photo below, you should be able to recognize his profile on Grindr. And if you visit the shop: he's recognizable because he wears glasses. So Ben is definitely recommended. But be nice to him. He hasn't been ruined by staying in the "massage boy world" for too long. His slight insecurity actually makes him sweet. With him, I really felt like he wanted to please me. Both in terms of the quality of the massage, the extra services offered, and the atmosphere in general. There was also a (fourth) guy I had come to my room. But I don't officially count him as a massage boy. He didn't actually advertise himself as such, but after I asked if he'd give me a massage, he agreed. It was clear, however, that he had no experience in that. So we quickly shifted our focus to sex. And that was just good and enjoyable with him. He was also a nice and sociable guy. If you happen to see him on Grindr, you should definitely consider inviting him.

PP bar had their soft opening last night in Jomtien complex. Bar looks really fresh. With very soft comfortable sofas where you can spent some time with your favourite boy of the day. The will officially open beginning next week. So actually only in a few days from now. Staff on sight could not give any details about the owner, or why bar is called PP.

PATTAYA: GENERAL OBSERVATIONS Just like many other times I've been to Pattaya, I chose to book the Agate Hotel in the Jomtien complex. The price-quality ratio is simply excellent. And the location is perfect. Close to several gay bars and within walking distance of the (gay) beach. You'll get the best price by booking directly with the hotel. This can make a significant difference compared to booking platforms. If the hotel's own booking tool on the website isn't working, email them. They usually have rooms available. Nice detail: the bathrooms have a bench in the shower. Handy for lazy queens who like to give blowjobs in the shower but don't want to get down on their knees... From my hotel room, I have a view of the abandoned parking garage in the Jomtien complex (see photo). Does anyone know if it was ever in use, or what the story behind it is? Not the most inspiring view, but I also look out directly onto the street inside the complex, so in the evenings you can see how busy it is and what's going on around. The hotel pool is small, but it's always quiet and deserted. Perfect for a few hours of relaxation if you don't feel like going to the beach. There's even a pet squirrel roaming around the pool. It's tame and not afraid of people. It came very close to me and was even bold enough to jump onto the lounge chair I was lying on and look at me curiously. Just turn on Grindr here, and the messages are guaranteed to pour in. And if the selection of guys on Grindr isn't enough, I recommend using Hornet. Quite a few money boys in Jomtien have been blocked by Grindr because they discovered they were MBs. Advertising yourself for sex for money isn't allowed on Grindr. But via Hornet, it's easier for them to open a new account when this happens. Meanwhile, Grindr has much stricter security. If you're banned, you can't create a new account with the same phone. As other forum members have noticed, there are quite a few Black guys (some from Madagascar) active on Grindr as moneyboys here. I've encountered quite a few in my grid. See, for example, the guys in the colleague below. Always nice for those who want a change from the Asian guys. What's also striking is that the price increases implemented by many guys in Bangkok haven't yet filtered down to Pattaya. On Grindr, most moneyboys offer themselves for 2,000 baht, but there are also plenty willing to visit your hotel room for 1,500 or even 1,000 baht. And they're good-looking guys, too. Speaking of Grindr: the profile below made me laugh... The photo shows that what you're looking for can sometimes be closer than you think... I've seen several shows in the complex itself. I've been to the M2M show several times before, and it never disappoints. The performances are full of energy, and the artists radiate joy. A fun night out is guaranteed. This time, too, it was a great time at M2M. I went to The Venue for the first time, but I'm not as impressed with the show there. The performers seem to be disinterested. Twice a week, they put on an extra show with a more erotic twist after their regular show. This special show is actually much more fun than their mail show. The performers seem to enjoy it more, probably because they can rake in a decent amount of tips. The audience sits very close, and as the performers walk through the audience, you can touch them and give them the tickets or tuck them into their clothes. A very touchy-touchy show. The shows at Best Bar are unfortunately no longer what they were for a short time. They had to cut the erotic segments. That was a really fun part, if I'm to believe those who were lucky enough to experience it. See the photo below for an impression. Oh well. That was once upon a time. Not anymore. Now it's a Thai Dance section and the well-known ladyboy numbers. Not as good as M2M, but in terms of energy and fun, better than The Venue. That's it for now. I'll write more about further adventures in Pattaya soon, even the exciting ones.

LAST DAY IN BANGKOK BEFORE MOVING TO PATTAYA Today the plan was to finally see something of Bangkok. My family and colleagues back home will get suspicious if I don't show any photos of Bangkok. What have I been doing there all this time? Haha. That's why I went to Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen. It's famous for the gigantic Buddha statue on one of Bangkok's canals. This large statue was under construction for a long time, but has recently been restored to its former glory. And I'd never been there before. It's very beautiful. Highly recommended. Especially if you can find the "hidden" photo spot across the water. For your convenience, this is the Google Maps link to that photo spot: https://maps.app.goo.gl/8PPMpEYWP1mCqw4h9 In the evening, I had plans to pick up the cute guy I met yesterday in Jupiter. But first, I wanted to check out Atlas Bar. A new bar I've never been to really needs to be checked out. While I was checking some messages on my phone outside, two men wanted to go in. But they immediately turned around. I heard this was because there weren't any customers inside. So, I'm not going in. It's so awkward to be the only customer in a bar like that. Who knows, I might try it again soon when I get back from Pattaya. I decided to walk straight to Jupiter. I passed Rainbow Dragon. It was the first time I saw that there were actually quite a few people inside. It looked like some kind of event, with a drag queen shouting something into a microphone. It drew enthusiastic reactions from the audience. I don't know if they do drag shows there often or if this was a one-off. I find many of the boys at Jupiter attractive. So I always enjoy watching their boys' parade. My eye fell on a boy with slightly curly hair. He has a very muscular body, a cute face, and a mischievous smile. He also performs many of the show acts as a dancer and stripper. But... he seems to have a brother who also works there? Because there were two boys with curly hair who look alike. See the two photos below from the parade video on Jupiter's Facebook page, from the day I was there. One boy is walking at the beginning of the parade. The other is at the end. They do look alike, don't they? Who knows more? I didn't see the guy I'd spoken to yesterday in the parade, but luckily he came in right after. Papasan directed him straight to me. The deal was quickly made, since we'd actually agreed on it yesterday. Off to my hotel.

By the way, after two nights at the Méridien Hotel, I changed hotels again. My budget doesn't allow for a longer stay in such an expensive hotel. So I stayed at the Ibis Styles Silom next, where I've stayed several times during my visits to Bangkok. And I always liked that hotel. Those who know it will remember that the bathroom tiles are very colorful and distinctive. It's funny to see different guys on Grindr with their profile pictures taken in a bathroom at the Ibis Styles. Then you at least know they're staying nearby... Or at least they can easily find the hotel if you invite them. Haha

If anybody has inside information about which guys might bottom (and I like kissing too...), I'm happy to hear names and which massage places they work. Via private message is also fine to keep it a bit more discrete... There are off course some massage shops that advertise with this information about the boys, but most of the shops are too discrete about it. See for example response I received when I, in my opinion, very politely and discreet asked about preferences of boys.

I received curious private messages about the two Vietnamese guys I'd brought to the Goodboy bar. Apparently, two Vietnamese brothers work there who sometimes accompany customers together. One of those brothers was indeed one of the guys I'd brought to the Méridien hotel. The other guy was a friend of his, but not his brother. He said his brother wasn't working. I'm still unclear whether he meant his brother simply had the night off or no longer works at the bar. I thought this might be an interesting addition to my earlier post about my "threeway" adventure.

You are right. I've been going there for years. When cannabis regulations in Thailand became more relaxed, everyone wanted a piece of the pie. This restaurant included. So the front terrace was transformed into a cannabis shop where people smoked. It wasn't pleasant to sit and eat, so if you wanted to eat there, you basically had to sit inside. I was pleasantly surprised to see that cannabis sales have since stopped, and both the terrace and the interior are once again exclusively used as a bar/restaurant. https://maps.app.goo.gl/2UqUAsU1AdW5oeK4A

FRENCH KISSING IN BANGKOK For a few days, I'd been chatting with a half-French/half-Moroccan guy who is in Thailand for an extended period. At first, he seemed a bit too feminine for me. But there was something about him that attracted me, both in his photos and in his "French ritual" he offers. After a few days of hesitation because his "asking price" was so high, I decided to invite him anyway. My curiosity about him got the better of me. Despite the high price, it turned out to be completely worth it. I'm not going to say what I paid him because I'd be embarrassed to, and then I'd get all my fellow forum members commenting... Haha. But let's just say this French guy didn't charge Thai rates. He had a warm and open personality. He took his time. His massage was exactly what I needed in terms of intensity. Plus, he works with pressure points, which was a very pleasant experience. The transition from sensual to erotic was seamless. He knows what he's doing, and he enjoys it himself. After the climax, it wasn't a quick pay-and-go. No, even then he took his time. Lying in each other's arms, chatting a bit. And he gave me a wonderful head massage. We talked about pressure point techniques and Chinese medicine. A well-spent afternoon. He also happens to be incredibly creative. At the guesthouse where he's staying by the river in Bangkok, he's working on a mural depicting various world cities. He's a professionally trained dancer, which explains his toned body and flexibility, so to speak... But above all, he has a great personality. If you search on the Hunqz website, you'll find him. It was the last night in Bangkok for a fellow forum member I'd met in Bangkok this week. So we decided to go out for dinner together again. We chose G's, as my dinner companion put it, "to stay loyal to Guido." I eat at Guido's every time I'm in Bangkok. And I always have a schnitzel. But since I'd already had it two nights ago, I decided to try a Thai dish this time. And that was delicious too. Also happy te report that Guido's pussy is still in full action. Alive and kicking at the terrace. After dinner, we went across the street for a drink on the terrace of Banana Club. On the terrace, yes. It was still early, there wasn't a show yet. But sitting there gave us the opportunity to watch people walk by. I always love that: people watching. And because the music wasn't nearly as loud as at other terraces further down the Soi, we were able to have a decent conversation. After my late afternoon escapades, I wasn't planning on finding a guy tonight. But after my fellow forum member left for his hotel, I decided to check out Jupiter anyway. I remember their show being very entertaining, even if I wasn't planning on bringing a guy. Upon entering, I was initially assigned a spot on a bar stool. After sitting there for a while, I asked to move to a bench. Sitting on a bar stool for extended periods of time isn't comfortable for me. Luckily, it wasn't too busy (yet), so I found another spot. Later, the place started filling up considerably. From the second show onward, at least all the benches were occupied, and some of the bar stools further back were as well. A friendly papasan confirmed my suspicion that the boy I had my eyes on at first was "boy" and not "gay." But he would point out which boys were gay during the next parade. And he did. With his laser pointer. When the parade ended, he gathered four of the gay boys from that evening. Without me knowing, they were suddenly all standing behind me. And asked if I could pick one. Awkward. But helpful. A boy who had been smiling at me during the parade was the nicest one in my opinion. So I agreed to have a drink with him during the next show. The boy confirmed that he was up for "anything" and would happily join me to make me "happy." I held my ground. And after we sat close together during the show, with my hand occasionally running over his muscles and his hand on my knee, I told him I'd love to come back next time and take him along. I did give him 200 baht as a tip for his time and company. He was great company, especially because he spoke reasonable English. By the way, he claimed to be from Bangkok. Originally. I don't hear that very often. Most Thai guys I talk to in bars are from somewhere in the countryside.

Did all the stamp collectors on here know about the stamp museum in Bangkok? When I did see this on the list (see picture) I was laughing thinking about our forum...

Happy to report Guido's pussy is still in action. Seen at the terrace tonight.

I would like to know also. By the way, I don't think it's our responsibility, as customers, to keep track of the time. You make an agreement, say, 90 minutes. And if the massage boy ends up spending more time with you, I don't think you should have to pay extra. Unless, of course, after the 90 minutes, it's clearly stated that the paid time is over and you want to extend. How many times have forum members experienced their agreed-upon 90-minute session becoming a shorter session, and they were out the door within 90 minutes? Shouldn't you get a refund then because you've booked more time than you were paid for? The other way around, it shouldn't be standard practice either. Again, unless there's been clear agreement.
-
Well... I want him to play with a different stick than the one of the pool table... I'm afraid I had to pay the normal fee of 500baht for my drink. I see it as my contribution to the local gay community because indeed what I deed see there was not worth that 500baht. If you compare that for what show you see in Jupiter for the same 500baht for first drink... I would choose Jupiter a million times over Tawan nowadays. What can I say... We are having exquisite taste and good eye for quality. Did he have a 7eleven logo tattoo on the backside of his neck? I already did and enjoyed it there. See report above here.

ANOTHER DAY IN BANGKOK I've never had this much jet lag as I have this year. Does that have something to do with me getting older? Anyway, I took an extra nap during the day today. In between, I also visited the new Central Park. The new shopping mall with office towers and the new Dusit Thani hotel. They must have thought there weren't enough shopping malls in the area yet. But I have to say: the rooftop terrace is impressive. It's a true roof garden. It really makes you feel like you're walking through a park. With a beautiful view of Lumphini Park and the skyline beyond. There are discussions on this forum about where the best cashew chicken was on the menu. I had one today at Sarica restaurant on Surawong Road. Plenty of cashews, and the chicken was delicious. However, I have reservations about the quality of the sauce/paste they used. Still, I think it tasted good. That evening, I decided to visit Dreamboy right before the first show. Papasan had advised me the night before to arrive early next time, and he'd find me a good guy. When I arrived, it was already very busy. So busy, in fact, that I got a spot at the side of the stage. This made it difficult to get a good look at the guys, let alone read their number tags. Because of the crowd, Papasan also left me a bit alone, so I couldn't ask them for advice or information about the guys. When he happened to come by, he shined a laser pointer on several guys he knew were gay and also into bottoming. One of them had caught my eye earlier that evening, so I decided to invite them for a drink. He's from Myanmar and didn't speak a word of English. The translation app was struggling. I typed really good, but simple, English sentences. But the translation into Burmese wasn't great, so he didn't quite understand what I wanted to know. I deliberately didn't mention that I am top and wanted him to express his preferences first by asking him. His answer was ultimately clear: he's gay, but he's top. I politely let him know that we wouldn't be a match, which he accepted. He did, however, sit comfortably next to me, finishing his drink and touching each other. I tipped him 200 baht. Papasan came over and asked if I wanted to take the boy. I explained that I didn't, because the boy claims to be top, which contradicts the information Papasan gave me. Then Papasan and the boy started talking in Thai or Burmese. I didn't understand it at all. But after that, the boy claimed to want to take good care of me and was willing to do anything, including bottoming. But I insisted I wouldn't bring the boy along. A date between us could only end in disappointment. I want a real bottom or versa. And not someone who "just does it" because Papasan says so. It doesn't feel right to do something with a boy he doesn't choose for himself. That's why I was glad I'd had that conversation with him where I'd asked him about his preferences without him knowing what I was looking for. Or what Papasan had told me. I was a bit annoyed by Papasan's misinformation. Let's just say it cost me valuable time that I could have better spent meeting a guy who's truly bottom or versa. I couldn't bring myself to choose a new guy at Dreamboy either. So I paid and left the bar disappointed. Where to go now? It was already past midnight. And experience from the previous evening had taught me that it's hard to find a guy anywhere then, as closing time is approaching. But... Then I saw a sign that Goodboyz had a show at 1 a.m. So I went in... I arrived in boy heaven. There were so many boys. So many. And something for every taste. I even saw quite a few who piqued my interest. And importantly: the atmosphere was great. I felt welcome. Friendly mamasan. Boys who smiled at me and asking for attention, without being too pushy for drinks or tips. I even managed to chat with a boy who had spontaneously sat next to me for a while before he asked if I wanted to buy them a drink. And I did want to buy him a drink. Because he was definitely my type. He spoke reasonable English. That was a plus. At the same time, there was another attractive boy further down who also kept making eye contact. Both boys from Vietnam. And before I knew it, I was sitting with a boy on either side of me, drinks for them, and hands going everywhere, both theirs and mine. The setup at Goodboyz allows for this. The way the seating is arranged and the fact that it's a bit darker makes it a bit more intimate and private. Why choose between two cute guys when they're both willing to go with you? Luckily, the Méridien has big beds. The guys didn't do anything together in the hotel room, by the way. Their focus was entirely on me. But I'm not complaining, of course. I wouldn't call it a real threesome this way, either. But it was a special experience. The first time I've brought two guys from the bar back to the hotel.

I mean you mean baht insyeds of dollars... Now in Bangkok. I was lucky finding a massage guy who offered to come visit me for 1500 baht for full service. But generally both in the bars and on apps boys ask 2500 or 3000 for short time. Good-looking freelancers on grindr go as far as asking for 5k.

BANGKOK DAY 2 If I have time in between, I'll write something for my trip report. But it is, of course, a vacation after all. So I won't be updating daily. The second day in Bangkok. Time to change hotels to the luxurious Le Méridien. I always love the rooms here. Beautiful, spacious bathroom. Wonderful bath to relax in. And the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is truly extensive. Delicious. Another forum member also checked into the Méridien the same day I did. While chatting, we discovered we'd been given rooms on the same floor. What are the odds of that in a 24-story hotel? We decided to have a drink together that evening to get acquainted. He was already sitting on the terrace of Shenanigans, and I went to find him there. We had a nice, friendly chat. We then decided to walk around the corner together to check out one of the boy bars. We decided to go to Freshboys. They had a good selection of guys. I'd say there was something for everyone. My eye fell on number 9. He had curly hair, which made him stand out among all the other guys. He seemed very shy. Inquiring revealed he was from Myanmar and was "flexible" gay. Fellow forum member had left a bit earlier, and after I'd finished my drink, I decided to check out Dreamboy. It used to be my favorite boy bar back in the Soi Twilight days, the first few times I came to Bangkok. Because of its size (two floors) and the many boys. And the spectacular shows. Who doesn't remember the acrobatic sex scenes on stage? And the ladyboys showing off their erect penises? When I entered Dreamboy, I was reminded that it's still the biggest boy bar today. A very large stage. And quite a few boys, even though it was already late. It was funny to see that several mamasans/papasans who were already working in Soi Twilight were still there. They were about to close. A papasan who recognized me told me to come earlier tomorrow. He'd find me a really good boy then... I'm curious!

FIRST NIGHT IN BANGKOK I started the evening with a stroll. Through the various streets lined with boy bars and massage shops... What struck me was how quiet the streets were. Few people were walking around or entering the bars. I was therefore afraid I'd be the only customer if I went in. But when I entered Freshboys just after 10:30, it was surprisingly packed. The show wasn't anything new. It was mostly the same. During the big cock parade, number 31 caught my eye. Gorgeous body, six-pack, nice tattoos (not too many, but distinct. Chinese theme). When the boys went into the audience for tips, I naturally handed number 31 a bill. After I'd thoroughly felt up his body and given him some compliments, of course. Mamasan told me the guy was "top only." Unfortunately, he didn't match with me because of that. So I decided to try my luck elsewhere. Also, because I wanted to explore a bit on my first night and not pick up a guy at the first bar and end up back in my hotel room early. As busy as the Freshboys was, it was deserted in Tawan. Two other (young) customers. They both had a Tawan man sitting next to them, hands going everywhere, and at one dark moment, they even gave blowjobs in public... Exciting! But other than that... Most of the guys weren't my type. I'm into muscular guys. But lean muscular ones. And not what was generally "on the menu" in Tawan. There was one guy who did interest me, but he avoided eye contact. And I agree with @vinapuvinapu it usually doesn't result in a good date if you choose a guy who doesn't make eye contact and tries to get your attention or flirt with you. Guys (or men, as many of the Tawan staff fall into that category) are mostly on their phones, uninterested (except for two who did stop by for a chat), and one who seemed to have fallen asleep on the couch. He sat there with his eyes closed... It actually felt a bit awkward so I tried my best to finish my drink a little faster than normal. It was a little after midnight now, and I thought I'd try somewhere else. Only to find that everything was closed or about to close. Apparently, on weeknights in Bangkok these days, you have to make sure you've found a guy before midnight... Haha. Luckily, Grindr offered a solution. A massage therapist offered himself for the reasonable price of 1,500 baht for full service. He was able to walk straight through the reception to my hotel room without any problems once I gave him my room number. He was a nice, spontaneous guy, who was apparently a fan of 7-Eleven, because he had a large tattoo of their logo on the back of his neck. That tattoo looked familiar. But I can't remember the context. Maybe I saw the guy once when he worked at one of the boy bars. Or maybe I even met up with him on one of my previous trips... I asked him to give me a soft massage because I was experiencing some pain, and he knew exactly the right pressure so it wasn't painful, but you could feel that he was doing something. Satisfied and tired, I crawled into bed after he had also provided the extra service to my satisfaction. To give you an idea of what he is like, below is a photo from which I have cropped out his face. A successful first (half) day in Bangkok.
