Good to hear the White Cat is open! Unfortunately, the initial reviews haven't been enough to make me particularly enthusiastic about visiting. But I also believe that a new bar deserves a chance. So I definitely plan to check it out in March.

I thought you wouldn't be in Bangkok when I get there... Before meeting up with you, I want to make sure you agree to my terms. You pay for my food and drinks. I don't want to hear about your old-man ailments, illnesses, and other inconveniences. And we can't stay too late at the restaurant because there has to be enough time to find a nice guy at one of the bars that evening. Oh, and for those who are taking this too seriously, this is, of course, a sarcastic response to what @Olddaddy himself wrote in the post below: For anyone who would seriously like to meet (under normal circumstances and without all kinds of requirements and terms), please let me know! haha.... lol

Did I catch your attention with the subject line of this post? Hahaha What's a good steakhouse in Bangkok, at a reasonable price? Where you can enjoy a good, tasty piece of meat without paying exorbitant prices, as if you were dining out in a Western country. When I lived in Phuket years ago, I regularly went to Churrasco Phuket Steakhouse. It's an example of truly good quality meat at a reasonable price. But... in Bangkok?

It doesn't sound very pleasant to meet you. The other person has to pay for the entrance fee; there's no talking allowed. And I'm not supposed to stand next to you for too long. Because we have to hunt for boys, and that's easier if you're walking around alone. In short: I might as well go alone, right? Saves me 400 baht.

Through Grindr's explore feature (the free plan allows you to chat with someone once a day via explore, allowing you to change your location to a different country/city and search for guys there), I came across one of Arthur & Paul's massage guys, who clearly offered more than just a massage... And for a reasonable tip starting with $20. Stay = booked.

And back to the question I started this thread with: Siem Reap or Phnom Penh? I've managed to arrange my itinerary so that I stay three nights in both cities. Problem solved. It's been a few years since I've been to Cambodia, so I'm looking forward to going back.

I can understand that. For example, I often read the forum on my phone, but wait until I'm at my computer to write a reply or message. There are also several forum members who only write their trip reports here on the forum after their trip, upon returning home. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. My post about "how long is the bus ride?" wasn't meant as a comment on why haven't you written anything yet. It was a serious question about how long the bus ride takes. But I can imagine it could be interpreted differently.

First; thanks for your trip report! Regarding uploading pictures; I had the same problem before. Pictures made with phone are too big is size to upload. I always make screenshot of the photo on my phone. A screenshot has a smaller size and is uploadable.

New up-to-date information and opinions are always welcomed, besides all (older) info already available on this forum.

Totally forgot about SIDE when I was visiting Bangkok in Nov/Dec. Was thinking to check out this relatively new place. But when I check the pics on their social media, I was already thinking I might not be their targeted audience. Looks more a place for musculair Asians and was thinking I might not feel welcome there... Still looks fun to see one of their shows. Might be tempted to try it out next month... Anybody else went there?
