Short comment about departure today. Temporary priority lane working, actually said First Class and Business Class, plus oldies like me. No line, straight through, whiz through electronic gates, no issues. Departure board looked ok, ie no list of cancelled or delayed flights. British Airways flight said to be on time, so good so far.

In the UK, we are used to a service charge, always set out on menu, which is fixed, more often 12.5%, or 15. Usually said to be optional, so if service is really bad, you can take it off, I rarely do. I have not yet seen pre-tipping, but I have heard that it is beginning to happen. No rationale for it, as waiters, etc are paid same as everybody else, not well, but subject to minimum wage, etc. If this carries on, do we tip at supermarkets, dry cleaners whatever? I have always said that it takes 10 years, or so, but what happens in the USA, comes here! You had Trump1, we got Boris Johnson!

Something to do with mucous membranes. The only positive thing I remember from the experience was I was paid (well - allowed to claim if id completed the paperwork) £10 for a sperm sample. I was told to use the toilet in the corridor for the purpose….
The other caveat was that it had to be 24 hours since last coming. As I was paying £350 a night to be in a hotel, I’d planned hiring an escort for an hour or two later that evening. That ruled out giving the sample the next day.
Anyway, jerking off into a pot in a hospital lab was not easy. Thank heavens for 5g porn on my phone.
When I returned to the doctor room after I felt a little self concious. so I made an off the cuff quip - “I haven’t been paid ten quid to do that in a public toilet since I was 14”. Oh dear. Wrong thing to say. Next thing I’m being offered counselling as a survivor of abuse. FFS.
Anyway the evening was a disaster too turns out coming twice in six hours is too much for me and I ended up alone in my hotel with a large brandy

I think the swimmers' body description needs revisiting. Nowadays swimmers seem to be 6' 4", with shoulders the size of a barn door, etc. Perhaps Diver's body, a la Tom Daley now more apposite!
