Imagine when @Olddaddy and @floridarob ever marry and find a place to accommodate all of their fans.
Which side of the aisle will be most crowded? 😀

Just that time you slid it in there.

Had to skip the annual trip to Bangkok this year. It would have been finished now anyway. But I sure like Bangkok, heat and humidity excepted, so I do appreciate all of you who share your tales of your trips. Keep the stories coming...and thank you!

My reheated cashews helped, but just a little. Leftover Chinese food is just that.

We thought we had found just the right Chinese restaurant to get take away dishes for out Chinese dinner. We usually order enormous amounts of food to have a dinner on Chinese New Year's Eve and the Chinese New Year itself. Once again we come home to disappointment- not enough cashews in the chicken cashew.
I have tried to make it clear that we want plenty of cashews. It never does any good.
So, for tonight's dinner, should I go about getting some raw cashews locally and then roast them, or would added cashews not mix well with existing food?
What's the point restaurants? Why advertise cashews in the chicken if one can barely find them?
I'll bet Vinapu doesn't have this problem.

A most welcome greeting, @Suckrates. Thank you.

Because I don't take orders from you? 😜
Gosh, you don't know the difference between a suggestion and an order.

Why not go on a cruise and forget these old songs, and even this website? Take a break!

I liked Sal Mineo. I was about 12 or 13 when he came...to my attention. Probably a first indication that I was gay. His last living arrangement was just a couple of blocks from the place I later lived in LA.

@donJ Why no interest in Thailand? I love it there.

Yes, decades ago I went to Puerto Rico, stayed at a gay resort, never had sex in the week I was there, and vowed I would never return. And I haven't!

I prefer Starbucks.

I have never noticed that before. Thanks for pointing it out.
But why on this good earth would a former long-term poster wish to re-post a long post praising a hotel 12 1/2 years after the original. He must be perfectly well aware that hotels undergo changes all the time. As I pointed out, look up that hotel now and most of the photos on the present hotel booking sites look virtually nothing like those posted above. I still maintain there should be a ban on starting new threads simply by reposting one that is so old. Perhaps we need our own statute of limitations!!
Had he added a comment at the start of this thread about the fact that he and his bf had stayed at this hotel many years ago and he wanted to remind readers of its good qualities, I don't think anyone would complain. But to post as he did is highly misleading and, frankly, a disservice to members given how much does change over 12 1/2 years both in and around that hotel.
The 13 year old post was resurrected by @Olddaddy who apparently has nothing better to do.

in The Beer Bar

I am not saying that I like Scott Bessent, but still, he is the first gay man(openly) to sign the currency.
