When I went to select the topic for my complaint with MoviePass, I was greeted with form answers. I learned that if the app doesn't work and you have to buy a ticket, they don't reimburse you. You are supposed to contact them and have an employee specifically tell you to buy a ticket. Then they will reimburse. However, if the movie is about to start, are you going to try to connect with a MoviePass employee? Since I didn't get a live one on my attempt to complain, I doubt I would wait for one when the movie is about to start.

Does anyone else have experience with MoviePass? I just bought a pass for about $89 for a year. The first time I used it everything went well. Today I tried but it wouldn't finish the process. The theater clerk said they are having a lot of problems with their app. I went ahead and bought a matinee ticket for $5.95 since I was already there. Do you think MoviePass will refund me? There has been a lot in the press about how financially sketchy this company is. They are paying ten dollars a ticket, even for those that might sell for $5.95! Conceivably I could lose most of my $89. But, they just bought MovieFone so I doubt they plan to wrap things up soon. But today required assigned seats, and the pass allowed me to pick one, but it couldn't issue the ticket. So, what good is it?

So my fellow Latin lovers, especially those of you who have been to Colombia, can you please advise the approach you took to visiting Colombia the first time? I am considering a first trip, but the lack of saunas as in Brazil has me wondering how well I would do since i have never used Grindr. You may be aware that I am an old geezer and know that free sex is probably a thing of the past for me. Also, it seems to me that Medellin is the place to go from what I have read. Is Bogota a waste of gay time? I often see inquiries from first time visitors in the forums, and one thing they get told is to research. I am perfectly willing to do that, but your experience could help me focus the search. Thanks.

In case anyone cares, I finally solved the problem of the rejected card. Yesterday the bank assured me that the card would not be rejected, then it was. I spoke with Lifemiles and they could do nothing. But later Banco Popular called me to tell me everything was finally ready. It was and I now have 180,000 miles, good enough for a first class ticket to Bangkok on Star Alliance. (Not that I won't run into more glitches!)

A big topic of conversation at the Palm Springs Weekend, formerly known as the Hooville Weekend, was the question: what's next? Will Daddys reviews and accompanying forum be shut down, either voluntarily or not? Now I didn't take a poll, and I didn't talk to everyone, but those who did speak about it with me were unanimous in thinking that the site will soon shutter. This includes some long-term members who have invested themselves in the site. My own take is that this law was passed under the guise of stopping sex trafficking, but is really aimed at prostitution. Existing laws haven't stopped sex trafficking or prostitution, but this one is strong and may do the job. I am not betting on it, but in the meantime some good people could go down.

I did get to meet Latbear4blk at the pool event yesterday. He struck me as a fine, cultured person. Thanks for meeting up with me, G.

The problem turns out to be with the bank. They rejected my card for a reason unknown to me. I twice waited on a lengthy hold to find out why, but gave up as the wait was just too long.

Back when the Hooville Weekend was called just that, we would all go after Saturday's dinner to the Palm Canyon Theater, our local amateur theater, for a show. For example, on February 9th, 2009, the sixth annual Hooville Weekend, we saw Damn Yankees. When my day administering the weekend came to a close, the theater part was dropped. So, last night everyone went their own way after dinner, but my hubbie and my longtime friend went to see a show at the Palm Canyon Theater. Guess what was playing? Damn Yankees! The difference between this production and the 2009 show was night and day. We found ourselves flabbergasted at the quality of everything in the show- singing, dancing, acting, choreography. These people were good! On top of that, the guy playing young Joe Hardy was quite hot with a killer smile and a voice which was mesmerizing. Oh could he sing! There were a couple other hot ones on the team, so the underwear scene was fun. It's a long show, but I could watch it again. Unfortunately, it closes today, and today is sold out. Good for them. It will soon be history, just like the Hooville Weekend in days past. It's the Palm Springs Weekend now. And it's bigger than ever.

So I received 60000 LifeMiles for applying for the credit card. Today Avianca wrote and offered to triple those miles at a very low cost compared to other airlines. I would have 180000 miles! I filled out the forms and received a failure message. I was told to contact call center. Ha! After a very long wait, an agent came on the line at the same time a recording began asking me if I was satisfied with the assistance the agent gave me. Does it get more absurd?

I don't ever go to the Review homepage, so maybe I did miss something there. The point still is that no one is forcing people to donate.

I have always liked Deviled eggs. My made then so well. So maybe I should go to the Pool Event tomorrow just to check out the eggs. Then, if someone was sucking on another guy down by the eggs, I might enjoy watching it. But how would I get there? It's at least 6 blocks from my house...I'd be all sweaty when I arrived if I walked...it's going to be 93 tomorrow. Maybe I could hang out by the pool.

In the threads at the other site, members are not being prodded by Daddy, so far as I can tell, to donate because of the new law. They are donating to show their gratitude for the site and to help enrich Bill as he faces lawyer fees to try to make sure the site complies with the law. If the government is really going to go after sites which promote prostitution, then his site has no future. If they focus on sex trafficking, then it should be fine as I have never seen even a whiff of that on that site. These sites are free to us. It's even a better deal than the so-called Flirt for Free! If people want to use money to show their gratitude, why shouldn't they? That goes for the guys here as well. I have organized a study committee to determine how much I should donate to Oz, and in what form, and at what time. Results are expected by late 2019 when I will then implement a plan.

Christopher G. Moore is another of my favorite authors who sets his novels in Thailand. Vinny Calvino is a detective with a snarky sense of humor and a determination to go all out to find the bad guys. Pattaya 24/7 is one in the series.

Another enjoyable series is by Timothy Hallinan, whose character, Poke Rafferty, has married an ex-bar girl and they have adopted an orphaned girl. It's really good, and Thailand figures almost as a main character. Many of us may like to think that we are the queens of Patpong, but read this for a better idea!

In the Asia forum, I wrote about a novel set in Thailand called Jack Was Here. It's a pretty good tale of a missing 19-year old being sought by a soldier who returns home with PTSD and needs something to do. But for novels set in Thailand, I return here to the literature forum. You are not going to find many quality books set in Thailand that have a gay theme. There are some, but the novels mentioned here are superb reading material. The first to mention is Bangkok 8 by John Burdett. I couldn' t get enough of Burdett and have read all of his novels starring Sonchai Jitpleecheep. (There are 5 in the series, but Bangkok 8, the first, remains my favorite. It's a murder mystery, and you won't find a much more intriguing star than Somchai. Jack Was Here is one of my latest finds in the area of Novels set in Thailand. It is not a gay-themed story, but if you are like me after a few visits to Thailand, a good novel set in the Land of Smiles appeals. There are few quality novels that do have a gay theme. If you can live without that and just relish reading about things, places, and events in Thailand, then Jack Was Here might be for you. I sure liked it. Enter Hugh Fitzgerald, a soldier who returns to his Australian home with PTSD. Hugh needs something to do, and the family hires him to find Jack. Hugh follows his own rules. The adventure he encounters brings us to various parts of Thai life, and to Thai people. Soon Hugh finds that drug lords may know where Jack is. I had a great time going with Jack into Thailand and Malaysia. When he saw bar girls, I saw bar boys. It worked for me! It's a great story that kept my attention start to finish.

Walker, I referred to Le Boy in the past tense. As for being ignored, I am expecting that when I go to a place solely to lust after hot dancing boys. My time has passed for getting cruised, but I can still enjoy beauty when I see it.

Isn't The Week a whole different ball game than the sauna? I used to go to Le Boy without any intent of picking someone up. It was just fun watching smoldering hot guys dancing and posturing. But now I can't stay up that late.

It's so much more fun to come here and to read the posts without worrying if has gone on too long or even posted something I didn't want to read. I can ignore negative posts no matter how large the font gets! Does that make me a Badboy?
