I will be venturing back to eastern Europe for a friends Birthday in September. Exploring Budapest and Vienna for the first time and returning to Prague for the 3rd time. Well The Old Gal is having serious problems getting her bills paid! After ignoring her "friends/customers" for weeks and then begging on street corners and the MLK onramp for the I15 with a scrap of a cardboard box reading"I am a sick old fraud that cannot afford to keep my business running-I also cannot afford soap" her lights have been turned off. There are a few times during the night at Escape when you find yourself chuckling. The "Romantic dance" usually is anything but...the boys are usually friends(sometimes more)but they are just like any other young fellas when they are told"Ok-now don't laugh!" so of course they do. The other fun time is the group dance. The boys have fun with that, I wish they would play Yakkity Sax and see what happens!

I stayed at the Radisson Blu Alcron last year. Good hotel in a great location. I used Radison points for my stay and I upgraded to a "club level" room which I recommend-those boys LOVE being able to raid the minibar (which is replenished every day) and I love the fancy coffee in the morning, The Alcron restaurant is wonderful. High end and a little pricey but a bargain when compared to similar restaurants in Europe . new video from co-directors Silas Howard and Erin Greenwell reflecting the Polk Street in the 1970's I was very much a part of this scene. Someday I will tell all about my experiences of this era. I am not ashamed of what I did during this time of my life rather it is not something everyone might fully understand, It was both the best of times and a time of personal destruction that would snowball into a very dark period of my life, I will say that I miss the Polk street scene very much. Not just the incredibly hot guys that could be had for a very low price compared to what working fellas ask for today- but the fun bars we had back then.Nothing like that scene exist today and a whole generation of Gay men have no idea of what life was like back in those days.I wish the directors had talked to some folks such as myself that were part of the scene. The video makes it look like nothing but Trannies worked Polk when in fact that scene was on Post st. and Larkin st. while Polk was for the fellas.
