Fascinating story. I often wonder about escorts and gay porn actors who attempt to blackmail clients. Are they made delusional by their drug use or are they simply flawed characters to begin with?

AXIOM's Week in Havana, Cuba
msclelovr replied to axiom2001's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
Thank you! If I may add to your post, I found that the last link works if you input http://cubaguiagay.blogspot.co.uk/ If you don't understand Spanish, Google translates it into English more or less. -
AXIOM's Week in Havana, Cuba
msclelovr replied to axiom2001's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
Thank you Axiom for the report. You say that "I have lots of good contact info. regarding tours, hotels, restaurants, etc. If you would like this, I'll post for all" and I for one would welcome you publishing all that information here. It may well prove useful for some people now and perhaps for many more people in the future. -
A certain dose of vitriol keeps the forum entertaining. Perhaps TotallyOz can enlighten me, but I was not aware that a member here is obliged to read every post and know the details of every feud. Silence is a powerful weapon.

What I did on my Cuban vacation
msclelovr replied to Ojibear's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
Thanks for the detailed report. It's very interesting. Please may I ask you to comment on where you stayed, how you found it and whether it was upto reasonable first-world standards. -
Interesting. Here's a comparison in the UK. Pills such as Viagra and Cialis are available for free on the NHS if a physician prescribes them for medical reasons - total cost at the pharmacy of $15 to the patient for however many pills. I take Cialis for recreational reasons (ie not covered by the NHS) and pay the pharmacist $10 per pill.

What's the most you've spent on escorts in a year?
msclelovr replied to AdamSmith's topic in The Beer Bar
Guess I've been lucky to find preppy, fit-bodied young men in Europe who enjoy travel as much as I do. I don't haggle about fees: I find guys are eager to be my companions and I ask what they require; I simply move on if the amount seems excessive. In fact, the cash component has been remarkably little for some lengthy, long-haul trips and the other costs have amounted to a multiple of the fee. For shorter or weekend trips within Europe, however, the 'expense' to 'fee' ratio is in line with what jgoo and AdamSmith estimated. -
"that hitch hiker would make a nice visitor to a guest's room in Porto Alegre (or any room, in any city, for that matter" I've had him and I certainly agree. He makes a nice personal trainer too (his day-job) and tho he's bulked up more now, and is verging on what I deem 'steroidal' in size, he remains eager and willing to please.

A quick question, Tomcal: when these 3ways or group scenes are suggested to you, I assume you pay each guy involved - am I right?

Has Lucky, Frankly Rich & Paragon - Perished From Social Media?
msclelovr replied to a topic in The Beer Bar
This discussion has taken 2 pages to go from Jimboivyo/BN to turds, ie nowhere! -
May I add to demedici's post by asking whether this young man kisses readily, both with passion and with tongue?
-
He is pretty. Where did you find him, Pauleiro?
-
You have good taste! Where have you seen his advertising? I too would be interested to learn more about him.
-
May I ask: who's the guy in the penultimate photo, and where does he work? It may be his cap and smile, but he looks cute.

June and October in Rio/Porto Alegre

Thanks for the very interesting report. -
"All men become MORE attractive to me when they are sporting a BIG DICK !" I understand completely, Suckrates. The list surprised me as I thought Details was a gay magazine. My surprise is not because I haven't slept with even one of them but because I haven't heard of any of them before.
-
Citylaw1, don't be upset with Suckrates. The confusion is understandable. What you now say was a re-posting was not in quotation marks. So it did read as a general admonition.

There are no stupid questions RFKC. It's my understanding that when this site was first created, Daddy's suppressed any mention of it. It's why when posters at Daddy's wrote that there was useful information here, they referred to it obliquely. The usual reference to here as "the other site" prevented the deletion of posts.

Thanks for posting. It's always interesting to read a trip report written so contemporaneously. I'm sure you'll enjoy the rest of your time there once you're fully over the jet lag.

‘Studlebrity’ Doc Explores ‘Hot’ Guys Who Become Famous For Their Looks
msclelovr replied to a topic in The Beer Bar
That was entertaining, Expat, and it makes some valid points. I've met some guys (like those featured) in London, LA and New York. They can be fun company for a short time but they tend to have nothing much to say. Their lives seem to consist of clubbing, gym-going, taking steroids and other drugs, and trying to make ends meet. I guess the smarter "boys" try to find an older man to take care of them before they hit 35 and find they face stiff competition from younger fit-bodied men. -
As an aside, shouldn't this be entitled "Very, Very Serious Issue?"

Straight Woman Needs Hotel In Berlin, Prague
msclelovr replied to a topic in European Men and Destinations
So in the space of 11 hours between your two posts, Paragon, I take it you stumbled upon such secret sites as Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Trivago? Your second post does make me wonder though. If a gay man posted on Tripadvisor that he needed a decent hotel near gay bars, would many people rush to help him with recommendations? -
I know that many of you in the US watch BBC television, so this post is to alert you to two programmes recently broadcast in the UK Brazil: In the Shadow of the Stadiums was a decent documentary. It did have astonishing disclosures on the level of child prostitution (both boys and girls) and the involvement of the police. Apparently some of the children wanted their faces and names to be revealed. Welcome to Rio is a 3part series. Two episodes have been aired and so far, it's not a great documentary. But I did find the episodes fascinating because they show much of the daily life in the favelas. I'm not naive and have travelled widely in Africa and Latin America for extended periods, but I am amazed by the resilience and energy of people living in such grinding poverty.

Definitely. It's simply good manners. If a 'thank-you' note is not forthcoming, I regard the person as ungrateful. I've heard various excuses over the years - the person was not brought up well, the person is too busy and writing a note takes too much time, 'snail-mail' is slow so an email is better etc - but I don't believe any of them. And I adopt a simple policy in response. I try to treat everyone well, but I only make further gifts to people I know will be grateful. I have only once been asked about this (by a young family member to whom I'd given a substantial gift costing thousands of dollars on his 21st birthday, and received a one-line email some weeks afterwards). A few years later, he asked why I didn't give him a significant wedding gift; I explained that I hadn't been invited to his wedding, and he had been so unappreciative of what I'd given previously.

I'm very sad to read your post, Tom. I wish you all the best in fighting your illness.
