Buenos Aires, Jun/Jul 2022
msclelovr replied to Latbear4blk's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
Thanks for taking the time to write @Latbear4blk about the current situation in Buenos Aires. I haven’t been back in some time and I’m intrigued by your observation. My view over the years of visiting regularly was that the legal sex industry in Argentina continued to thrive, either despite or because of the bouts of rapid inflation and the economic crises. Admittedly I had considerable success with what I term ‘amateurs’. They were young men that I met on the street, at the gym or in the malls. Some seemed to be especially interested in meeting a foreigner, an older man. Some even made the first approach. It helped that I speak Spanish and I dressed well. But I recognize that for them my prime attraction was my enhanced economic and spending power as a foreigner. Nonetheless, I met a wide range of middle-class, employed young men as well as handsome university students. I was happy to entertain them of an evening and pick up numerous dinner checks, as many proved excellent companions. And I have fond memories of taking the very best guys on trips with me, away from Buenos Aires to beach resorts in Uruguay and Brazil. It would be a real shame if times have so changed that presentable, young Argentine men are no longer interested in spending time with foreigners and earning some extra cash. -
I’m glad that Morocco has proved so enjoyable for you @bert but will you elaborate please? Are you fit-bodied, handsome and young, so there’s no obvious discrepancy between you and the Moroccan guys you meet? Where do you go with the guy to have fun - your hotel, his place? Do you negotiate all the details beforehand and agree on what you’ll do together?
-
Will you expand on this place, please @Menaughty? Location, hours and details of what may be expected/negotiated would be appreciated.

Summer trip set, Colombia + Brazil
msclelovr replied to endlessdream's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
Just a note of caution to add to the recent posts on the Yellow Fever vaccine. It is NOT recommended for people aged 60 and over (as are many posters on this site) and various other groups of people. The side-effects are serious and can prove fatal. -

Thanks for reporting @Latbear4blk. I’m wondering about the currency situation. Did you offer to pay with US$ in cash? What did you find the effective exchange rate to be? Is there a good, reliable place to exchange dollars nearby? -
Elvis - The Movie 2022
msclelovr replied to TotallyOz's topic in Theater, Movies, Art and Literature
Me too. I saw Elvis in his prime. It was my first trip to Las Vegas, and Elvis performed in his white leather-catsuit. He was extremely sexy. (And at the risk of sounding like an old person who remembers the value of a dollar, I recall that dinner in the casino cost $4, but we each had to pay a supplement of $4 as Elvis was performing.) -

Maybe they went to dinner @Riobard? 9pm is the most popular time to eat dinner in Barcelona restaurants in the week. And actually it can be difficult to reserve dinner in a good restaurant later than 9pm…unless it’s on a Friday or Saturday night, or at the beach in Summer -
You are being far too critical @PeterRS There are 3 major reasons why it will take some considerable time. The UK now has more job vacancies than unemployed people seeking work. Staffing at airports (with many functions being sub-contracted) is even more complicated than it is for airlines. In the UK, any new employee with access to the airport has to get a security clearance. This requires a check of the last 5 years employment history, with confirmation from each employer. As you may imagine, in the pandemic many employees left unpaid jobs and took alternative (and/or short-term) employment. Any failure to confirm a period of employment prevents security clearance being given. (Airlines did recently ask the UK Govt to relax this rule, but it refused.)

Online Escorts (Garoto) in Brazil
msclelovr replied to seaeric's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
I’d be surprised if guys in Brazil and Colombia did not accept cash…unless they face a high risk of being robbed on their journey home. That has happened to a couple of guys I know in Argentina when they were traveling back to an outer suburb of Buenos Aires in the evening. -

Glad to hear this. I always insist on my men being documented completely, preferably witnessed by a third party, before being fully notarised. How else can performance be guaranteed? 😎 -

I’m no advocate of celibacy @young11 but as this is a nasty condition, I feel you’re wise to minimise contact. Perhaps this is the time to hire a well-regarded independent? I’d suggest you both take a shower before any interaction: that way, both of you will be reassured by the absence of a rash. -
For me too @davet they are the most desirable of male companions. And if they are muscled and eager to bottom, I would be in heaven. Perhaps I spent too much of my youth in Southern California… All I know is that such rare guys were to be found in Prague but they often went to work in Zurich. Their habits may have changed. I hope others with expert, current knowledge will be along to advise you.

I guess it also depends on how quickly you get through Immigration & Customs. If there is a line of people awaiting processing, perhaps you can walk to the head of the line. If challenged, just say you have “a sauna emergency”. There shouldn’t be any argument but if there is, feel free to add that you are “sexually incontinent” and any delay may cause you to burst open. Good Luck @Canadianbtmguy

So are you two planning to put on ‘a show’? Unless you both are exhibitionists and like having voyeurs, why not just take a room at a love-hotel which rents rooms by the hour?
-
Not to dispute what you posted @Thomas_88 but BelAmi did a lot of filming using a studio in Bratislava and places in the country. I met and played with some BelAmi guys years ago and I was told this by them. IIRC there was some restriction imposed by BelAmi so that their videos were not available locally. It helped the working guys protect their identities and family life.

Lovely report @richard265 Thanks for taking the time to describe the experience so well.

Lots of attractive, masculine young Slovaks moved to London for work. I met several in the first decade of this century. All had fit athletic bodies, were compliant in bed, happy to bottom and swallow loads. I’ve kept in touch with a couple who now have office jobs.

Medellin - accommodations with the Cedulla process?
msclelovr replied to 12is12's topic in Gay Colombia
Possibly. But not for certain. It’s normal practice in Latin America to check the ID of any unregistered person going to an hotel room. Just bear in mind that hotel staff have ALREADY seen EVERYTHING in their working lives. So live your life to the full and don’t worry about what others may, or may not, think. -
Medellin - accommodations with the Cedulla process?
msclelovr replied to 12is12's topic in Gay Colombia
IMO you’re really overthinking this @12is12. Just book double occupancy for your room in the hotel you prefer and ask Reception to check ID when you have a visitor. Don’t fret over the possible charge as it’s a VERY small price to pay for your security. BTW when do you visit Colombia.? -
I’ve certainly used them in Buenos Aires, where hotels that rent by the hour are referred to as “telos”. And I know they exist in other cities. They are popular with heterosexual and homosexual couples. Conveniently located and clean, they offer a range of facilities but usually include a double bed, showers, towels, toothbrush & paste etc. I always just turned up with my guy and paid cash (as I’m wary of potential credit card fraud). Don’t abandon common sense, however, if you’re going with a stranger. Take minimal cash, leave valuables in your hotel room safe etc - I’ve heard 2x of guys getting robbed at knifepoint once in the room.
-
It’s not just a Colombian phenomenon @richard265 I found the same to be true in Argentina. After my first trip, when I dressed casually, I always dressed formally in Buenos Aires and I attracted a lot of guys. And, of course, having a big thick wallet doesn’t hurt 😊

I feel that’s only sensible @partiamo1. FWIW I’m an older man too and I enjoy spending time with young men. I’ve travelled extensively for many years. During long stays, especially in Latin America and Africa, I’ve often been hit on by nice young men. Nothing may be said about money, but I understand that young men are hoping to improve their circumstances. So it pays to be generous. If I have fun, I take guys shopping for clothes etc the next morning. If I really hit it off with a guy and want to enjoy his company more, I suggest an all-expenses paid vacation. Many guys have not travelled outside their own country and they accept with delight. I’ve had some great times in return for being generous so I feel the older/younger dynamic works well when “mutual benefit” is the guiding principle.

I agree he should be named. I have my suspicion about one poster that I’ve helped.
