For work I was asked to figure out Pinterest. Five hours later I'm still not sure how this can be used to market any company in any way. I've never been on a more useless site in my life.

Publishing companies often make writers write under psydonnyms. For example, crime novel sell better when written by women so fairly often they'll have the writer pretend to be a woman. On the other hand they had Joanne Rowling had to write under the name "J.K." because they didn't think that a book about a young boy's adventures written by a woman would sell well.

For me it was even more confusing because I liked looking at girls too, but would sometimes get distracted by hot dudes.

It looks to me like MIT is the honestly responsible party. According to the International Herald Tribune (which doesn't have a website so I can't link to it) MIT was convinced it was the chinese government who was hacking them and that's why they called the feds, when, really, it was just a dude who plugged in through an unlocked closet.

In the US the mob has gotten caught using the lottery system to launder money. They find out who has a winning ticket and buy the ticket from them in cash (which the winner then doesn't have to pay tax on) and then the mob cashes in the ticket and has legal income.

The thing is I feel like they aren't really making a choice. 10 years ago we knew it was dangerous and could make an informed choice and decide the risk was worth the reward. If they don't take it seriously today then they aren't making the choice based on informed information.
