I was in Hong Kong for four nights about one year ago. The trip was purely for tourism. I enjoyed my stay. Saw many sites. Various tours. I never had any truly memorable meals to be honest. That was the biggest disappointment of my visit. I was looking forward to good food but never found it. Im not into Asian men so I had very very low expectations of coming across any fun during my visit. Grindr lit up with messages during my short stay but i had no interest in those that were contacting me. I have to be honest, I have never been anywhere in the world where I saw so many truly unattractive people in one place. Hideous in many many cases. Both the men and the women. Im still glad I went. It is a big vibrant city. Beautiful at night. Very colorful. Worth a 3-4 day visit. Not sure I ever need to return. Certainly not for the food or the men. As always, YMMV.

Well I'm headed to Hong Kong in mid-January for a 4 day (3 night) visit. Since it's my first time and I am a Starwood Hotels whore, I'm staying at the Sheraton Hotel due to it's central location. This is primarily a tourism/foody visit....but I will look for a little fun on the side. I have already scoped-out RM and GayRomeo. Having read through all the threads on this site and the other site, it seems that the Asian Male Escort sites are too much of a crap-shoot to try....at least for a newbie. Any other suggestions for escorts/bars/saunas? I tend to be attracted to muscular hunky alpha-males with large penises. Is there any such thing as a male strip bar in Hong Kong?

I've had the same problems with GR for the last few days. As Pylonguy said....GR used to be so easy to use to look for escorts, now it is a complete cluster****. Basically useless to me now. What were they thinking?

I'm in BA frequently. Three times this year already. Great city! Great food! Great cultural scene! Very handsome men everywhere! But a crap escort scene. More than half the guys on Soytuyo and Ratones aren't even worth a second look. Argentines just are not as sensual and sexual as Brazilians.

I'm sure prices will be coming down shortly after the World Cup. Coming down that is to pre-World Cup prices. I was in Sao Paulo and Porto Alegre a few weeks before the World Cup started and I did not notice anything unusual with the prices.

I am currently in Porto Alegre. Went to Mezzaninu yesterday and noted there were no ashtrays on the tables. I asked the waiter (Alan) about it and he confirmed that smoking had been stopped in the sauna with the exception of one small room on the balcony level. This is said to be temporary until they build an outdoor patio area. Good news as far as I am concerned......but I am a non-smoker. Not sure yet if it is just the sauna doing this or if the whole city/state have moved to no smoking like Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro have. Most people seem to be respecting the rule so far. One garoto was smoking inside and was reprimanded......he then went to the designated room. Separately, they have announced a party sometime before x-mas and are advertising they will have garcons nus (nude waiters). The waiters are not happy about this at all and I am sure they will be having discussions with management. More news later. EZEtoGRU

Tomcal. Thanks for the quick response. You certainly have allot of information. I remember "Era" from a few years ago. It must have been the other location when I went because it did have a big patio outside which is where I spent most of my time there due to the sound level inside. I think friday nights is when the waiters are nude at Indiscretus. I plan to go back there on Friday as well. Off and on rain predicted for today and tomorrow. More reports later.

Thanks to tomcal for his posts from Brazil and specifically from Porto Alegre. This is my first post but I have been lurking for years. Also, I have been travelling to Brazil for work and fun for more than 20 years. Indeed, when I first went to Rio, Roger's was the main hustler sauna in town. That has all changed now of course. Anyway, I am in Porto Alegre this week. Tomcal is right that the early part of the week is dead here in Porto Alegre. Went to Mezzaninu on Monday afternoon and there was only one working boy there and just 4-5 customers. I left at about 6:30pm and headed to Plataforma where there were about 7 working boys and maybe ten customers. Wednesday was completely different with Mezzaninu being packed with both boys and customers. Big fun at Mezzaninu!! My plans for today (thursday) are to head to Mezzaninu at about 5:00pm, Mix at about 10:30pm and finally Cabaret Indiscretus at about 12.30am. tomcal, do you have any other suggestions for post sauna fun? I was in Sao Paulo from Friday thru Sunday. Termas Lagoa was my favorite sauna in Sao Paulo for many years.....but for the last five years I have gravitated more to Termas Fragata. It is a more relaxed atmosphere and easier to spend time talking with the boys before going up to the rooms. I will report back at the end of the week of how the rest of my stay went. EZEtoGRU
