Damn, I never thought I'd ever be this old!

I'll be in LA between 10.22 and 10.26, I'm celebrating turning the big 40.

The miso ad is just plain weird and the other ad is annoying.

Well, Winehouse had genuine musical talents so comparing her to any of the Kardashians is like comparing oil to water.

Many people who call the airlines are told to contact the IRS instead. http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=242812,00.html?portlet=6

When people are being let into a country they're not really taking it over.

This is how I imagine all right wingers to look like. What a bunch of unfortunate looking people.

Need based aid is usually dependent on the school having access to tax returns via a return transcript. If the school did it's proper research and got those returns then there is the chance that the parents are hiding money from the IRS and that could spell lots of trouble for them. Personally I would report it but only because I don't like cheats.

This Has Been A Very, Very Quiet Summer!!!

It could also be that because there is less hiring then there is less to talk about. -
What was the reaction of you and your family? Things would initially happen to us individually so each of us thought that no one else was experiencing anything. It was only after my little brother told my mom about hearinging a man clear his throat in the kitchen, when no one was there, that we began to openly talk about it. The reaction was actually quite ho hum, being Chilean and Catholic it was almost considered something inevitable...we're a weird family. Did you consider moving? We did not consider moving until after my picture got thrown, my mom became convinced I was in danger. Hanging up some garlic? Or did you just try to laugh it off? Nope, but lots of crosses and saints went up around the house. We all took it very seriously. Were there any particular occasions or times the ghost was more active? The ghost was most active around my mother and myself. We were the only 2 who actually ever saw him. The activity seemed to increase in the fall, after school started but before Christmas. Summers were pretty quiet but that's when the more violent stuff would happen. Looking back, are you glad you had the experience? I don't think I'm glad it happened, but I am more willing to believe other people who've had similar experiences.

Between August 1982 and May 1987 we lived in a haunted house. I actually only saw the ghost once, this would've been around 1985 close to my 14th birtday. More often than not it was the feeling of being watched which was very unnerving. Towards the end of our stay things did begin to escalate: drinking glasses would shatter while sitting on the kitchen counter, doors would fly open by themselves, there was a feeling of being chased in the second floor hallway and my school picture was thrown across the hall with such force that it made a dent into the wall. Since we moved nothing strange has ever happened and hopefully nothing ever will again.

From Robocop: Bitches leave. So simple and direct...I used to say it to my brother's friends all the time back in the day.

Always liked this guy in Rope and Strangers on a Train. Farley Granger dies at 85

What were your favorite books as a child, and why?
seattlebottom replied to TotallyOz's topic in The Beer Bar
Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew and The Three Investigators were my favorites. By the time I was in 5th grade I was reading Stephen King so I'll put him in the list as well. -
I still don't know why everyone is tip toeing around the issue that Republicans are largely responsible for creating an atmosphere where those who don't agree with them must be killed. The only thing that surprises me about this is that it was Giffords and not Pelosi or Reed who was attacked.

Don't like extra thick dicks.

I usually only hire when I travel and I only went to San Francisco this year where I hired two.

Exactly.

Travolta has to walk a fine line here and it's pretty clever that his lawyers drafted a complaint largely around the issue of adultery rather than who he was commiting adultery with.

Sounds like a Marie Callender frozen dinner.

Love me the 80s slasher films and the ghost hunting shows.
