Just come back from a trip from Mexico City so I thought I'd give an update.
Arriving at the airport there are self service passport checks at the border. As you come into arrivals - turn right and you'll find the official taxi payment processors DO NOT go outside and get your own taxi. It's about 300 pesos to the city.  I stayed at the Sheraton for 9 nights. I had no problems bringing guests back. This is a decent hotel and I was upgraded from a Corner Suite to a Malmaison Penthouse Suite.
 
Bars are relatively conservative I went to the following:
In the gay area:
Blow Bar - 150 pesos cover charge. This is 70% women to 30% men. GoGos are hot but they keep their shorts on the whole time. The women here tend to be a bit screetchy and scream when the guys dance.
Marikoteca - Unsure of the cover charge because it was 250 pesos on NYE. This used to be kinky bar - 50% to 50% men and women. The women here are different, chill, don't scream etc. Again GoGos are hot but stay in shorts. Drag show is maximum effort - one bitch was waltzing round in a ball gown.
Workshop/ El Taller - 100 pesos cover charge. Drag show; no GoGos but the staff are really the nicest in the city. Chilled out.
Macho and King/ Papi Fun bar* - No cover charge, no menus and no show; these are scam bars. Do not go to them. You will pay prices similar to Los Angeles.
Sauna Olympio* - 250 cover charge, decent enough gay sauna and bathhouse.
Outside the gay area:
Tom's Leather Bar - 250 pesos cover charge inc. five drinks. Guys dance with hard ons in the two bar areas. They do this every half hour from 10:30 for 15 minutes. The crowd and the staff are good fun here. Worth the Uber with one caveat - I'm a smoker when on a night out so I didn't mind but the guys here smoke in the main bar which wouldn't be ideal for someone with respiratory problems.
Near the historic center:
Funny Love Cabinas - 100 pesos cover charge inc. one drink. This is cabins in a sex shop. You go in and take the elevator to the 2nd floor. The guys stand around the Cabins. There is a show here (full sex) but they don't give out the details. It just happens.
Sexto Piso - 150 pesos cover charge. Most difficult place to find. In the same street as Funny Love you go into a building and it's on the 6th floor. Staff very nice. Cruise club with light room and dark room. Guys fucking all over.
Cine Savoy - 60 pesos entry. Old fashion sex cinema. Anyone can get it here. It's packed with about 100 men.
Things to be aware of:
Gringo prices - You will pay gringo prices in a load of bars. I've put * next to the ones I paid extra in. This can be anywhere from an extra 100 pesos in the sauna to an extra 100$ in Macho and King bars. If they won't give you a price list, just walk out. HOWEVER, if you chose to be taken to a table by a waiter and they run around after you and look after you all night expect to pay about 20% for drinks. I didn't mind at all because I took it as a service charge but if you're on a tight budget go to the bar yourself.
Uber - Uber is 99% safe however, do not come off the main drag or the busy areas to make it easier for your driver. This leaves you vulnerable. The concierge told me that occasionally an Uber driver accepts and if the area is remote, they send friend to rob the gringo waiting for them.
The metro - If you want to get flashed at, or see someone suck off a random guy - use the last carriage of the metro from Cuauhtémoc to Hidalgo.
The street scene - Not my thing but there are a few guys who look too vulnerable to me but they offer sex for less than 10$. These are not in much evidence but they are occasionally available and always on Hamburgo Street between C.Ambrese and C.Varsovia.
Closed bars - old favourites BoyBar and BotasBar are perminantly closed. 
Honestly - I'll be back to Rio for my next adventure. CDMX isn't a lovely place but fun. 
 
 
 
 
 
 

BB bar a few doors from your hotel has strippers that you can hire for private dances. There can be great looking guys there or just so so depending on the night. It gets started around midnight. That whole street is packed with clubs and if you are willing to buy a few beers for the guys it can often lead to something else. Grindr is also active. I love Mexico city and I am sure you will enjoy your stay.

I haven’t hired any guys on this trip. As I get older, I get more selective (and I guess less horny), and I’d much rather be with someone who wants to be with me than someone who just wants the money. I arrived on Tuesday and as on my last trip here, Grindr immediately exploded.

3.  My profile is clear - I have clearly stated on my profile that I am not interested if they are not in Medellín or an escort. I have clearly said what I am looking for and when I’m available. It’s not working 100%, but at least I am trying.
4. Patience - I am not looking for quantity. I’m looking for quality. Colombian men are incredibly sexy and I can wait for the right one. 
I’ve been working with Chat GPT since my stay in Reggio Calabria last year where we identified success factors for someone like me (older tourist who is an oral bottom).
My ideal city is smaller pool; fewer tourists; people living at home so the ability to host is a plus. Medellín is not my ideal city. But it excels in other ways - it is high volume and people are attracted to older men. And the men are incredibly hot.

A very late report, I've been busy with work lately. I found back my notes today and thought I'd share a brief summary of the trip.

I landed in Bogotá on a Friday afternoon. I always fly to Bogotá because I hate the long lines at immigration in Medellín. But I wasn't so lucky; the wait was almost two hours. Interestingly, the immigration officer mentioned that the "biomig" system for foreigners will soon be available. It will only require pre-registration at the airport, and you'll be able to enter and exit through the automated gates (for now, it only works for  leaving the country, for foreigners without residency).
Bogotá
I only spent one night in Bogota, enough time to have fun with S, a libanese/venezuelan guy that I knew from previous trips, and a visit to montserate.

The next day, I packed my bags and went to salitre bus station, to catch the bus to Villavicencio.  Traffic in Bogota (and most other cities like Medellin) is a disaster on Saturdays. Villavicencio

Villavicencio (or Villavo for the locals) is the gateway to the Llano (the plains),  the land of the vaqueros (cowboys). On one side, you have the mighty Andes, on the other side the great plains that reach until Venezuela. 
This was my first visit and I immediately fell in love with this town. 
I booked the GHL hotel for 2 nights at 50$ and another night in hotel 'Casa del Sol' (for some reason, the GHL hotel price doubled for that last day). 
GHL hotel is a luxury hotel, with a rooftop pool and great views over the city.  I only had one 'joiner', but front desk assured me that it wasn't a problem to invite people, as long as they were registered. 
Before I knew, I was talking on grindr with Jesus, a 22 years old uni student, who was more than pleased to be my personal guide. He fulfilled that role until the moment he waved me goodbye at the airport.  This boyfriend experience for three days was a lot of fun.  Our agreement was that I was going to pay all costs.

The first night we went to a roadside barbecue stand (usually a makeshift tent on the side of the road). Villavo is famous for its meat. We enjoyed an excellent steak at a very affordable price. I went to bed early, still jet-lagged.

The next day  we went to a shopping mall, Primavera Urbana. Quite a unique place, since it's integrated into nature, with meandering creeks and a huge pond.  You should go during the day, to enjoy the beautiful walking trail through the forrest. 
In the afternoon, we strolled to the city center and a couple parks and relaxed at the swimming pool.  The weather is hot, but with a cool breeze in the evening and night.  We went early to bed,  because the next day, we would become cowboys. 

Tiuma Park is a real paradise. An adventure park, a 30 minutes taxi ride from Villavicencio, where you can go zip lining, horseback riding and even follow a short course to become a cowboy and learn how to herd cows. Plenty of activities to do and we both enjoyed it a lot. We had the whole park for ourselves. 
Once back in Villavicencio, we went to an amazing venezuelan restaurant called 'De Pana' (Tequeños! cachapas!) and later a game of bowling in a local commercial center. 
The following day I was leaving for Medellin.  Jésus was heartbroken, just like me, which lasted until I opened Grindr in Medellín a couple hours later.  

I booked a direct flight with Clic Air. It was a bit more expensive, but the advantage is that you land at the small airport near Laureles and El Poblado (saving you time and taxis). Plus, I like flying on a propeller plane; it's a different experience.
Best place to stay in Villavo: the hotels around the GHL hotel in the south (safe area with plenty of restaurants and shopping centers). 
Gay stuff: 
Gay disco Mantra (I didn't visit, since I was still suffering from jetlag). Gay sauna 'Club B' (or CB club). According to my contact, a bit rundown.  Grindr: I had a couple offers from escorts.  Rates were between 50kCOP - 100 kCOP Medallo

During the flight to Medellin, I started talking with a young handsome backpacker from the UK.  He was going to walk to his hostel from the airport. I talked him out of the idea and offered to share a taxi since I was heading in the same direction. Nothing would have probably happened, but I'm not convinced that it's a great idea to walk through the infamous barrio antioquia with all your belongings, at any time of the day or night.  Sadly, he turned out to be hetero, my gaydar is completely unreliable these days. 
Medellin was great as always. One of my regulars was going to celebrate his 23rd birthday and I joined his birthday party at the "Salvaje Perreo" discoteca in Bello.  It's not a gay disco, but LGBT friendly.   It was the first time I went out in this street full of bars and discos. I had planned to go to Parche at PV (Prado Verde) afterwards, but ended up in a motel nearby with the 'hetero' nephew of the birthday boy, after he had brought his girlfriend home. You gotta love Colombia. 
Premium is still busy with big  crowds on Wednesdays since there's no cover fee.   Some motels like ibiza do not allow entry to Venezuelans, unless they have a passport or PPT.   Luckily, there are plenty of motels that don't make a problem of it.  I found a small and cheap motel 'aloha suite' (30kCOP for simple room) next to Unicentro Laureles. Very convenient to meet your grindr date at the mall and only have to walk 50 meters to start the action.  Cúcuta

I hadn't heard from one of my regulars for months. He joined the police force and it's not a joke over there.  They have to turn in their phones and they stay at the academy for 3 months.  After three months, they are allowed to use their phone again and they get 1 day off a week.  That's a lot of effort for earning the minimum wage with no possibility to climb up the hierarchy and even have to pay a large sum (16 million pesos) for their equipment and training.

Their Aruba room isn't cheap at 180kCOP, but you can stay for 6 hours and it has a large swimming pool.   This was the second foursome I ever had (both were in Cucuta) and certainly to be repeated. We had a blast. 
The next few days I went dancing at La Redoma and visited the city center, ecoparque and a couple small pueblos with regulars.  Grindr was very active and I met 2 new guys, both from Venezuela and both great company. 
Some random observations:
Pandora le club is no more.. A gay institute has fallen and been replaced by yet another straight disco.  Disco 'La Celosa' has taken over part of the public, but it's not a gay disco.  La Redoma has female strippers now on Friday evenings and male strippers on Saturday evenings.  I hadn't expected to see 'caminantes' again (after not having seen them for years). Caminantes are Venezuelans who walk all the way to their destination (which can be another country). It seems that the situation in Venezuela hasn't improved much.. Cúcuta felt more safe with a lot of police in the streets. Maybe it was because of the elections at the time.  Rates are 30kCOP - 100 kCOP for paid sex.   ---------
Overall, another amazing  trip to Colombia and I'm already looking forward to go back.  If only to go to Cali, a city I have not yet visited. 
I'd say half of the guys I met were regulars; the others I contacted through Grindr or by recommendation from regulars. 

A short report on my last trip to Colombia.
The plan was to first go to Bogota and then, via Pereira and Manizales, to Medellin, finishing the trip with a few days in Cúcuta.
After receiving an invitation to a gay wedding in Barranquilla, I unfortunately had to cancel the Pereira and Manizales part of the trip.

Those motels are a bit hard to reach though, due to the works on the new metro system.

Two 'free' boys from Bosa & Soacha (grindr). I paid the moto taxi costs. It's easy to order a moto taxi with Uber for someone else and you can follow their itinerary, but I haven't figured out how to do it with the other apps (indrive, didi, ..).

Barranquilla
Northern Barranquilla is quite nice. I stayed at the Prado Hotel, a 5* luxury hotel for an incredible price (3 nights for $160). You can simply let security know you're inviting your companion to the pool bar or restaurant. If they're staying overnight, you have to register them.
The wedding was fun, with a party in a finca in Puerto Colombia, near the beach. 
Gay discos: 
lives: closed for renovation Patio / phuket: Patio is outdoors, phuket indoors. Nice atmosphere, music not too loud.  Legacy: music volume deafening, but cheap and plenty of cute guys. Nightlife is mostly limited to Friday / Saturday evening. 
Saunas:
Dark: looks promising, but they close early and I arrived near closing time. They also run a motel (not at the same location). 
Guys:
Grindr is very popular. Most men are happy to meet you for free or for a small fee (50 kCOP is common). Because almost all of them live in the south (the city's poorest and most dangerous neighborhood), they ask you to pay for taxi fares, which can add up. You can't use Uber Moto Taxi, as it's illegal in Barranquilla for two men to ride a motorcycle.
 
Medellin
It was quite hot in the city of eternal spring, and I'm not just talking about the men, but also about the weather. As always, I had a wonderful time.
Sauna:
Cruising:  According to friends, it's the most popular sauna these days. I went there at 5 p.m., and it was packed. All types of men.
gay discos:
industry club:  A "plaza" now is in control of Industry Club, a local gang that claims a monopoly on all drug sales in the club. If you bring or use drugs that weren't purchased from them, you'll receive a multa (a fine). Gang members patrolling the entrance, the dance floor, and the restrooms kind of spoil the atmosphere. I don't use drugs myself, but because I often go to the restroom after a few drinks (small bladder), they even started harassing and interrogating me. A bit of a downer. premium: plenty of eye candy, the place to be. Music not too loud and a great 'flow' like they say over here.  prado verde: 'remate' disco & motel located in a very bad part of centro, but they have excellent security (they walk you to your car). Very popular nowadays. People start arriving around 2am and by the time the other discos close, it's packed.  Since it's also a motel, you can immediately take your friend of the night to a room (basic rooms at 38kCOP). Recommended (for night owls). Guys:
I have my bunch of regular guys in Medellin. I met a cute guy at cruising (sauna) and in prado verde. For a change in my diet, I also went with an older hunk in motel roma (they have guys available on site).

Cucuta:
A friend and reader of this forum accompanied me on this part of the journey. As I said before, it's not a place for the faint of heart. I would only recommend to go there if you have plenty of experience travelling in South America, good situational awareness and you speak sufficient Spanish.
We had a great time anyway. There were plenty of handsome guys, and the advantage of not being alone is that you can keep an eye on each other (share your location).
Some changes: 
la redoma: These days, there are professional male and female strippers on Saturdays and Sundays. The nightclub has a great atmosphere, but security still leaves a lot to be desired (no age checks or weapons checks).  Foam party at pandora le club on a tuesday night was amazing. I'm not sure if it's a recurring event. Apparently there's a bar / disco called gata ebria in centro, with male waiters in underwear. I didn't have time to check it out.  Police checks: make sure you take a picture of your passport AND the entry stamp. If you can't show the entry stamp, they will detain you (unless you give them some tea money). Guys:

So, before our arrival I contact Manny, give him our flight info, explain what we are wanting to do during our stay, the people kind of people we want to hook up with, beach trips etc. and he arranges it all. He send pics and vids of all the guys and girls he has available and tell us to let him know which ones we were interested in. Day 1 - Wednesday April 14th - The Arrival 
We arrive in Santo Domingo Airport and Manny is there there to pick us up personally. OMNIA SQUARE (red outline area on map below): This place is brimming with Middle Eastern young men for sex. This is a place you either love or hate (as our other reviews here have shown)!!!! The whole square is very seedy, but the area for sex is the northwestern part of Omonia. This is the part in front of and surrounding the Hondos department store. The Syrian, Iranian, and Iraqis are usually sitting/standing at the top of the tube escalator that empties in front of the juice bar Gregores (red circle). The escalator that empties in front of Hondos (and the elevator area) usually has the Greeks and eastern Europeans (red circle). As you face Hondos, the side pedestrian street on the left side is filled with Afgans and Pakistanis. The same can be found on the right side of Hondos on the side walk. It is also the case that if you cross the street to your east you will find several outdoor cafes. One of them, whose name escapes me, you will find has old gay men sitting with their young male companions. I usually frequent the outdoor café/restaurant right in front of Hondos where I can sit and watch the boys on offer (dotted red on map). When I arrive at Omonia I usually take a complete walk around the Hondos center and then spend a few minutes seeing what is available by standing at the top of one of the two escalators. Now there is a nearby police station, so do not be so stupid as to do business in public. As to where you can go for sex, that is rather easy. All the boys will know that there are three possible sex hotels from which to choose. One is one block to the west (the one I prefer), there is one next to the Kosmopolit cinema, and then one more one block east of that. So, for those not familiar… once you negotiate what you want with the boy and how much to pay, you then proceed to the hotel. Just tells the boys to show you the hotel. You will probably pass a number of female prostitutes along the way who also use these hotels. Once you get to the hotel, you approach the clerk and hand over 5-10 euros depending on which hotel you go to. No id is required. I do this with one swift motion as I hand the 5 euro with my right hand whilst my feet continue to move to the elevator with the boy. It is usually the second floor if you choose the hotel west of Omonia, but that changes over time. The boy will know the floor. Once you get off the elevator, you will be in a hallway with about 10 rooms. There will probably be one or two couples (gay and straight with prostitutes) waiting ahead of you for a room. Once a room is clean, the maid will motion for you and you enter the room. It has a bed with one fitted sheet on top, tv with porn, a bathroom, two towels, and usually a condom. You have between 30-40 minutes until the maid will bang on your door. Most of the Syrians were especially phenomenal kissers and fuckers. Often they would also ask if I would fuck them as well. Interestingly to me, the Afgans always liked to get fucked and kiss.  My usual deal was 25 euro for the boy and 5 euro for the room. I have found it safe 99.9% of the time and only had one problem. I once got a boy back to the room and he stripped. I then looked and noticed he had a small discharge from his penis even before it got hard. It was clear he had gonorrhea or chlamydia , so I used google translate to tell him how to get some medical care. TYPICAL DAY: I would begin the morning with work. Around 11:30 am I would take a nice walk to Omonia Square to see if there was a young male appetizer I might enjoy. I would walk completely around Hondos Center and then stand for a while at the top of the two escalators. I would always find someone. After going to the nearby hotel for sex, I would return and settle down at one of the cafes for lunch…usually the one right in front of the Hondos Center. During my time I would regularly make eye contact with another young man and invite him over for lunch. After lunch he and I would go to the sex hotel for some fun. I would then walk back to my place to freshen up and take an afternoon nap. Afterwards, I would walk over to Pedion Park for an afternoon to sample one of the guys there. Then, I would walk back to Omonia for some theatre action where I would always find one or two guys to my liking. After some sex, I would leave and have a coffee and enjoy one of those amazing Greek rice curd desserts they have. I would then return to the theater for one more round. After this I would walk up to Omonia Square and see what was on offer. I would always take at least one guy to the sex hotel for some fun, sometimes two. Afterwards, I would make my way to Victoria Park. They have some nice caffes with outdoor seating right off the top of the tube escalator that are perfect for eating dinner and watching boys. If I did not catch the eye of anyone special, then I would check Grindr or PlanetRomeo to see what was on offer. As was almost always the case, I would find someone in Victoria Park to take back to my place for a late-night snack. I would generally repeat this pattern, but add the two bars especially on Friday/Saturday nights when new guys would appear. For those not yet familiar with these areas, then simply use the street view of google maps and you can see pretty much everything that I noted above. PART TWO:
BARS: Test Me and Sammi’s both have middle eastern hustlers for sex. You can find their addresses online. Most of the guys that come to the gay bars for paid sex also come to Victoria Park. As a result, what might cost you 75-150 euro as take away from a bar will be 30-50 euro at the park. It is worth a visit, though, just to support these businesses that cater to us gays. 

THEATRES/BOOK STORES: There are three theatres and four books stores that I visited where you can find their addresses yourself online. They rarely have guys available for paid sex, but mostly for free sex with other gays. When they did have hustlers, but their number usually ranged from none to 2 or 3. The Athinaikon is the one most often listed, but I usually considered it a waste of my time because men rarely went there to find the paid sex. This is because everyone in Athens knows where to go for the paid sex in a theatre: Kosmopolit Cinema (Marikas Kotopouli). The theatre is located right next to and north of the Hotel Cosmopolit, which is itself just one block north of Omonia Square. It is the red X on the map. When you walk in, be sure to keep your ticket as you can re-enter one more time. I regularly had sex, went for a coffee, and then returned for some more sex. You will see guys in the park area in front of the hotel and theatre who are very eager for your take-away business as well. The guys will come and go into the theatre every few minutes. Once you get into the theatre, you will be hounded by guys in the back standing area even before you can have a seat. Find a seat and let your eyes get adjusted to the darkness. When you are ready, then its time to venture into the balcony or basement for the adventure. I would start with the balcony which can be accessed by the stairs to the left or right as you came into the entrance. That upper balcony area is where the young men will show their dicks and offer themselves. They will sit along the long side balcony aisles, as well as the main balcony. This is where you can negotiate to give them a blow job. However, the funky sex occurs in the basement. You should know… next to the theatres in the Philippines, I found this theatre to be one of the dirtiest and seediest places I have ever had sex. It is not, as they say, for the faint of heart! I would say there are three groups of guys at this place: Class A guys that are straight, immaculate, showered, would never take drugs, never smoke, and sexy as fuck. They come only to get one client for money so they can go out with their girlfriend later. They will let you suck them and they will fuck you. Class B guys are the ones who come for one or two clients and like to eat afterwards at a café. They are looking for long-term sugar daddies and usually operate in a pair with their friend. They will let you suck them, they will fuck you, and many kiss very well. Class Z guys are the drug addicts and you will see them also outside the theatre where they will typically turn 5-10 clients in a day for sex. They will do anything and everything if the price is right. Interestingly, most of the guys IN the theatre are from Bosnia, Romania, Albania, Macedonia, and Bulgaria. Prices here ranged from 25-50 euros depending on the deed negotiated, but they did have to pay for their ticket so I always footed another 5-10 euros to cover that. I met several of the class A guys that I later brought back to my place for extended sessions. PART THREE follows…

PART ONE: I have stayed in Athens over twenty times this past decade. These are my thoughts from both immediate pre-Covid and Covid visits last year:

LOCATION TO STAY: This will depend on your plans for Athens. My first trip to Athens was with a tourist group many moons ago. I then transitioned to high end hotels as my work took me there regularly. Finally, over the past four years I have been trying various Airbnb apartments. I tried various locations, but have settled on a general area. I am not going to write where I stay now because I do not want competition for the place!!! I will just say that if sex is to be an important part of your stay in Athens, then apartments located between Omonia Square and north to Victoria Square can be ideal locations. Similarly, you can actually stay anywhere if you are near one of the metro/subway/tube lines.

APPS: Grindr and PlanetRomeo (Hunqs) are very active. Just adjust your profile to express your desires and men will be messaging you. I also used Google translate for Greek in my profile to outline my hopes as well, since I always want to partake of the local Greek delights!!! Their prices ranged from 50-150 euro’s, with most settling from 75-100 euro’s. This is where your location near a tube station can be very important. You will also find that if you schedule your stay when it overlaps the end of a month when rent and payments are due for the boys, then you will have far more delights to sample from the apps. 

PARKS: I visited all the sites listed online but found these three to be regularly active. 1- Temple of Zeus and the National Garden (Zappeion): Much has been made on some sites about the danger of finding guys around these locations. Simply go during the daylight hours to familiarize yourself with the paths, so once you are there at night it will be less confusing. Now, there ARE some times where it is clear there are some dangerous drug addicts. What you find mostly are gays for free sex and maybe 3-5 young men for paid sex. The problem here is finding a location that is private, as you can be doing the deed and 10 men will suddenly appear to watch and/or participate. I found more of the paid guys to be located west near the Lord Byron statue and immediately north. In general, over the years I have found less and less paid sex guys here at all and almost always just gay for gay sex. 2-Pedion Park: While there is some gay-for-gay free sex here, it is almost entirely paid sex. Again, before you venture too much you need to go there during the day and walk the area. I would suggest you start from the big main entrance at Mavrommateon and Alexandras. If you attempt the entrance further north on Mavrommateo then you will be right in the middle of the drug encampment area. If you have never seen one of those, then walk near it ONLY once you are in the park so you can gaze on it from afar. Now the paid sex I found starts at the open circle area east of the Pedion tou Areaos. The entire park east of the Statue of Athena and this open Pedion circle area will be filled with guys walking to locate sex. I plop myself on one of the many benches that line that main walkway going east (see blue area on map). From there I just sit and watch to see who is and who is not available for sex. A guy will give you the eye, he can sit with you, and then you can negotiate. Remember that this is actually a family park with lots of dog walkers and kids. But, you will easily know that those old men walking in the side paths are there for one purpose only. I did see two instances of violence… one was an old gay man had been looking at his phone. He put the phone in his pocket but a young man approached him and BAMM hit him with his fist. He then reached into the old man’s pocket, got the phone, and took it. The second instance was an old man carrying a backpack. One guy approached to talk with the man to distract him, whilst a second guy came from behind and ripped the backpack off and ran. So, be cautious and aware. The price for sex here ranged from 25-50 euro and was generally done in one of the private areas of the park. I scouted out discreet locations my first day there so I knew where to go, but the boys will know places as well. These guys are ones that will let you suck them or they will fuck you. I visited in the afternoons and early evenings and have had good luck. I once visited late night right before the park closed, but security and police cars were checking out the area at that point. 3-Victoria Park: This small park is like a middle eastern sex buffet in the evening. I usually sit myself at one of the benches and drink some water whilst watching the guys walk by. Within 10 minutes I will find someone to take back to my nearby Airbnb. It is very easy to see who is available. On my last visit, I saw a group of three young Syrian men who kept smiling at me. I chatted with them via gestures, offered to take each one separately to my Airbnb for a blow job, and then negotiated a price (25 euro each, plus a pack of cigarettes for each). Once I got each one alone, I was able to also see what else they might do. One agreed to fuck and passionately kiss. I then arranged for him as a regular even as his two other friends never knew. Cali update (Mar24): The curfew has been lifted in Cali (but not in the majority of municipalities in Valle de Cauca where the curfew is 1:00am - 5:00am).  There are strict controls on the numbers of people in restaurants, bars and clubs. Last year we spent a long weekend in Puebla and had a really fantastic time. It's a charming old colonial city, most parts are easily accessible on foot and Uber is readily available as well when you don't feel like walking. Food is great (it's the birthplace of mole and you can try lots of different varieties if you like it) and the dollar goes far against the peso right now, so you should find it a good value.

Safety : all visitors consider that it is really safe to be in the streets, even late at night, respecting common sense rules. The largest danger might be car accidents. 
Internet : wifi in Cuba is very difficult. Buy wifi card to be used at wifi spots. Where can it be bought ? At airport ? Mobile internet seems to be available since very recently but how to get connected ? 
Gay sites : not very much used. Gayromeo is available. Grindr is blocked not because of Cuban government but because of US government.  Better to meet guys at the bars or in the street, "but offline cruising can be time consuming and require patience, language skills, and most important, luck"
Where to stay :
(SolaceSoul) : "Get yourself an additional casa particular or arrange a room at a casa where the host doesn’t mind guests having Cuban “visitors” (check with the host in advance). Gay places to visit : 
According to Whynotcuba : "There are a lot of places you can go to. If you want something more high end and expensive, I can recommend Cafe Cantante or Tablado (in the Gran Teatro de la Habana). It depends on the day of week, both of them its on Thursday. If you want to spend a bit less money you could go to Las Vegas. They have drag queen shows every day of the week. If you are really really low on funds go to the corner of Infanta and 23 close to Las Vegas. Saturdays and Sundays people go to Las Vegas. 
Gay jineteros (prostitutes) are called pingeros. There will be pingueros in Las Vegas. If you wanna go to a bar without being stalked by pingueros go to XY because you have to spend more money, and that’s expensive for someone looking for work. Go to Cafe Cantante, which has a 5 dollar entry fee. There you’ll meet professionals: lawyers, doctors, architects and the like". 
According to Meteorb : "malecon (avenida 23 & calle hospital),  cafe Toki (calle 25 & Infanta), parque central are the top spots to cruise.  Parque central in the day time, just sitting and watching young men passing by;  Malecon & Cafe Toki at night (and after midnight)"
According to SolaceSoul : "At night I went out to the usual spots - Las Vegas (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday are when Imperio performs and the best nights), Karabali on Wednesday, Cafe Cantante on Saturday" + Cafe Cantante was really good as usual, it is probably the biggest gay party of the week.  Lots of cute guys, a lot of transgender girls hang out there also"
Gay night club Karabali on La Rampa only certains nights.  Bilatin mentions there are drag shows and stripper shows. Are there really stripper shows ? Is it the only place in Havana with stripper shows ?

Beach :
"When you go to Cuba, make sure to check out the sanddunes at Mi Cayito beach Saturday and Sundays are the best days to go.  There is a trail that goes through the sanddunes, but you have to walk east a little ways from the main entrance to get to it". 
Mi Cayito in Boca Ciega has a gay flag next to the Cuban flag. It has about 10 km of beach. I also heard from someone that in Cayo Santa Maria a new hotel opened, just for gay tourism (from Whynotcuba).
To go there : taxi (30 minute cab ride from Havana) or there is a cheaper option which is a tourist bus that leaves every hour from Parque Central in Old town.  Just tell the driver that you want to go to Micayito and they will drop you off as close as they can get.  It’s about a seven minute walk up the road to get to the entrance

Everything seems so reasonably priced. I also liked that you included some of the not so fun stuff. Hello everybody, here is my first-timer experience
This is MY experience. I will be happy to answer any questions of those who are like me - firstimers. I'm not going to argue about my possible mistakes with pro visitors to Brazil, I don't want this post to become another exercise in insulting each other. Sorry for these words, but I think an ambience here is very nasty, although I did find very precious information here. 
I'll compare some points with Thailand, as I was there 50+ times and I think it will be useful for those who visited Thailand
And sorry for mistakes in my English
So
I've stayed 15 days there and I visited Club 117 everyday except two Mondays
I am into bodybuilders. So I took only muscle guys. 
For those who remember golden days of Tawan - guys in Club 117 are smaller! I haven't met really big bodybuilders. Syntol muscles, big upper bodies with small legs - yes, very nice physic and fitness class guys - yes, but only two young competitive bodybuilders, which are not so big as I wish
But the faces and bodies of 117's guys are so nice that I'm not disappointed 
So I'm talking about muscle guys here
I was always asked (and always gave without bargaining) 150 R$, including instagram superstars with tens of thousands of subscribers, agogo dancers and the biggest guys in the club
I think there an explanation to this fact (some members quoted higher prices)
On the very first day I showed to one guy pictures of my ex who is heavyweight competitive bodybuilder. The rumor spread very quickly and muscle guys approached me saying 'I know, I'm not big for you, but you can try me' and didn't ask much.
I liked some guys there for talking, sitting together. When they asked me, I bought drinks and food for them. Then these guys started to send to me all new muscle guys that I had not had yet. They told them my price (150) and it always was OK with them. I was extremely excited when muscled beauties approached me and the guys told them - what are you waiting for, undress (if he just came), show your muscle, may be he'll take you
On the very first night I asked one guy, who speaks English well, to take me to Lapa for fun. I felt a kind of chemistry between us, although he is absolutely not attractive for  me sexually
He turned out to be one of the smartest man that I ever met. We talk with him about everything, starting from big bang and graham's number to Austro-Hungarian Empire and brazilian coffee-with-milk politics in Brazil. That night he slept in my appartment and the next morning he said - we are friends, no more money.
So almost everyday he stayed with me and slept in my appartment and I never paid him money. Once he asked 300 to pay electricity bill and I gave him, sometimes I gave him 50 for taxi to comeback home.
On the second day my phone was stolen. This guy gave me his phone and I used it for four days before he helped me to buy a new phone.
When he took me to a disco that I didn't like, he paid himself for that disco. Sometimes he insisted to pay for food himself. He bought some gifts for me when I was returning home
Believe me or not, but this is true
So, I can't say what is the price for a long stay, although one bodybuilder told me that R$ 1500 for one day is extremely good price and I think it can be lowered down to 600-800R$
I took some guys to my appartment - from 7 pm to midnight it was 300-350 R$
 
Entance to the club - 60
Room - 40
Caipirinha - 15, smirnoff ,tequila, - 15-20-30
Espresso, water - 6
Food I think 20-30, I don't remember
The guys that I talked to told me they usually get R$ 200 from clients (muscle guys)
 
Some advices
1. It is not like in Thailand. In Thailand in a go go if you come at the right time you can see almost all the guys (except those who are taken or have a day off). In Brazil you never know who you meet that day
2. In Brazil you pay for 40 minutes. When you finish, a guy usually comes back to work. In Thailand you pay for a short time, you can talk to a guy while you are going to your hotel, you may offer a dinner together and so on. It's not the case here. If you want that, you should talk about longer stay
3. English is almost non-existent. To my suprise, in Thailand the situation is much better. That makes a longer stay much more difficult. 
4. I stayed in Gloria area, 2 minutes walk from the Club 117. It is very convenient. I saved a lot of money because I stayed in Gloria area. If you want take a guy home - it's easy for him, the price is lower. Prices for food and restaurants are lower. For example, fresh juice in my area is R$ 5, copacabana - R$9-11. I ate in a good restaurant for R$ 30-50, Ipanema - R$ 90+ for the same food. Of course, if you like beach, it's a long ride by metro, but there is Flamengo beach nearby
5. Do plan your stay! Indeed, when it's a quiet day in the club, it can be a big dissapointment. During my stay it was wednesdays and sundays. You can expect more guys starting from 6-7 pm.
6. When the club was closed (Monday) I visited Lion's and Point 202 on the same evening. It was a disaster. Lion's was deserted at 7.30, Point was busy, but no muscles at all. So for the next Monday I took a guy for an evening stay with me.
7. I didn't find the way to have a man from the beach. Although I saw some good guys, I do not know how to approach them
7. Brazil is not a holiday destination. In Thailand you can find millions ways to have fun. It's secure. In Brazil I have no idea how I would spend a time with a guy. After visiting a couple of tourist attractions there is only one thing  - the beach. In Thailand you may visit huge shopping malls, nice restaurants, take a ride to islands, gardens, markets, aquariums, discos... - endless list. 
8. I have already bought a ticket to Brazil for the next trip. It is really nice country and above all - Brazilians! I really loved them
