Annie, dont get me wrong, I too applauded, but it was soley for the performance and NOT the creativity of it... For that it was "been there, done that"....

First, let me say that I LOVE Lady GaGa and am a BIG fan.... But then WHY am I the only one NOT freaking out over her Super Bowl Half time performance ? GaGa treated us to a spectacular show, but it was Old School GaGa as she went back to her roots and performed some of her most famous and iconic hits. No lip-syncing for GaGa and her vocals were on point. The costumes dazzled. It's what we expect from GaGa and she didnt disappoint... Bravo ! BUT, there was nothing new here, nothing UNexpected, no surprises. While I loved the show I was a little disappointed because I was expecting something so SPECTACULAR, and she didnt deliver that to ME.... For Me personally, the only reason to watch super Bowl IS the half time show. I remember Miss Diana Ross, Katy Perry and of course Queen Bee Beyonce. Gaga has EARNED her placed, but not the crown. I had missed the Old GaGa after her recent cowgirl incarnation for her new hit A Million Reasons, and loved that she brought that Old magic back for this show, but my expectations were just too high. I left saying "GaGa is back", not "That was Awesome".....

True, but I didnt go to see piano playing. The film just didnt engage me the way I had hoped. I suppose from all the hype I was expecting something Phenomenal and it just wasn't. And I just dont get all the accolades lauded on Emma Stone. I mean she beat out Meryl Streep at the SAGS last nite. Are you kidding me ? Streeps performance in Florence Foster blows Emma out of this stratosphere.

Whoever devised the promotion for this movie is a genius, cause I just saw it, and I JUST DONT GET IT ! I was bored 3/4 of the movie, which they could have easily summed up in 10 minutes (which they did) and called it a day. Both lead performances for me were just OK, I dont find Emma Stone attractive at all and the musical numbers were much more exciting inm the Trailers for the film. The big build up and all the awards is definitely driving the box office, because I dont think they would get it if they relied soley on word of mouth.... Neither should win the Oscar... There are much more WORTHY performances.

No one is reviewing all those guys you can scoop up from places like Grindr and CL. and sex is much easier to find in most places where like minds desiring male/male sex reside. Yet there are staunch die-hard old schoolers that need the false security of "review sites", but regardless of all the telethons held to raise funds over time, seems these same members are not willing to shell out enough moola to keep their High Priestess solvent (or so she says)... I suppose "you get what you PAY for" applies here ?

Well Mr TP, I agree, but we must keep in mind that ALL despots get their power from their subjects, who enable them. So it's not really the fat lady's fault per see. She just knows who is buttering her croissants, and is using her RESOURCES. Those subjects feel SHE is providing them some life sustaining service, and are willing to shell old their pennies to secure it. People are so silly sometimes.

The "client" part here is what threw me, and then I re-read it and inserted the word "members" and it made a whole lotta more sense, and the lightbulb went on. So devious and clever but .......

Is this what they call an "allegory" ? At first I thought it was a riddle, so I figured it out..... But I dont think the main character actually "begged" this time... It was left "unspoken", but hidden in the powerful message she delivered which had her subjects freaking out. Very clever, and SHADY post.
