My time in Rio is monopolized by the GP saunas, so there is nothing I can tell about those places. I have never been there during Pride celebrations, but I dare to say that your assumption is wrong. I am quite confident that GPs and their admirers celebrate the event at the saunas.

Look at 1:01. I want to sexually exploit that Colombian officer. ¡Qué lindoooooo! -
I can tell you aren't into kissing. To me, the best part is to try how they taste.

My last day in a sauna was last Saturday. Despite their premium venues, the meat offer does not really motivates me. I had the intention to go today to the Halloween party at Recife Spa, but instead I am glued to the TV and my devices following the midterm elections in Argentina. I was also planning to stop by Blue Termas yesterday but instead I had a visitor. As I was not fully satisfied with my saunas experience, and as what I find online is similarly disappointing, I reactivated my Scruff and Grindr accounts. Fortunately, with relative success although far away from what I used to get up to a few years ago. I do not share my age, but my pictures are recent and unfiltered. I ended hooking up with a guy in his late 30s 400m away from my location, at his place. It was OK but I am not planning to repeat. The best finding was a 26yo guy, a visitor from some place in Para I do not remember. He came to my airbnb twice, his second and last time was yesterday. He must be now traveling back to his home. Perhaps I will return to SBV this Friday to celebrate my birthday, but I am not enthusiastic at all. If you are only interested in sex, you can stop reading here. I am much more satisfied with my walks around and the beach experience. I am avoiding the beach on weekends, and have learned to avoid also the more popular beaches. Instead, I am staying where I am, South of Boa Viagem, or going even further South. The beaches here are quiet, with very few people, and very clean. There are natural pools when there is a low tide, so I was even able to get into the water, warm and as clean as the sand you see in the picture below. IMG_8140.mov In some places you will see recommendation for the Pracinha de Boa Viagem. Avoid it. It does not worth the visit. The place smells like millions are using it as a public bathroom and the main attraction is a street fair with questionable art craft and street food. The one interesting building is this one: The walk I do recommend enthusiastically is a visit to the Historic neighborhood of Olinda. Yesterday, I made the mistake of starting my walk down the hill, but climbing up was not that bad because it was cloudy. The best part is when you get to the top, to Alto da Sé. You will find a beautiful cathedral: The ticket to get in is only 6R and from its patio and windows the view of Olinda and Recife is just breathtaking. I strongly recommend to have a meal in one of the several restaurants at the top of the hill. Having that view while you are eating and drinking is a wonderful experience. I tried a local dessert, cocada. The waitress even gave me a mini lesson on how to eat. You get in your spoon a little bit of ice cream, a little bit of cocada, and a few drops of lime to soften the sweetness. Delicious. But even better than the dessert was the drink, a caipifruta supper sweet. I am enjoying vodka, I have not smoked weed since I left Salvador. Coming down from the top was a piece of cake. The entire area is protected and the houses cannot be demolished or altered. Of course there are crappy ones, but a lot of them are very well kept. I do not know how the hood may be at night, but it feels completely safe at noon and early afternoon. Here you have the same church that shows above on a picture taken from the top of the hill. I ended at a beach by Olinda's centro. IMG_8186.mov IMG_8184.mov I doubt it is the best beach in Olinda. I heard that the city has beautiful ones without sharks. This one was beautiful to my eyes, but it has banners with warnings about sharks menace. If I were not already full of food and a little tipsy, I would have stay to hang out there. Instead, I walked a couple of kilometers to the North before calling my Uber and going back to my base for my goodbye fuck with my Paraense lover.

https://sopla.substack.com/p/down-and-dirty-at-boite-casa-grande I have not yet visited Tapa Na Cara, but there you have my report on Casa Grande in case you did not see it before. Not everyone agrees with this, but I would not waste my time looking for garotos online when you have Brazilians saunas' unique experience to provide you with tons of the commodity you are looking for.

Medellin airport targeting single male travelers and denying entry

I agree. I think I was making the same point. Yes, occasionally the news in social media are accurate, but they are the same news that you can find in more reliable sources. -
November in Rio is amazing. It is not too hot at all, and sometimes the locals would say it is cold. I used to visit during the US Thanksgiving holiday.

Meh. I advise against getting any news from any social media outlet. -
I will be probably residing in Rio starting sometime on the second half of next year. Perhaps we will be neighbors! We will be able to share our findings more fluently!

I agree. Same prices in Rio.

Plus, I would guess that without the ocean breeze, it is like being inside a slow cooker.

A few years ago, when I tried to close a deal with Fercho, the money transfer was an obstacle. I'm not very motivated by their portfolio but I do like a few of their guys. I may probably plan an excursion to visit some interesting places in the area, like de Jardin Botanico, or Cementerio San Pedro, and schedule a visit to know the place and get acquainted. It sounds very convenient. @macdaddi, muchas gracias por compartir siempre tanta información! Todos los amantes de Colombia tenemos una deuda enorme contigo!

I will still be in Recife on that date. Do they give you a private bedroom or all rooms are shared? If you do not stay overnight, do they provide transportation back to the city? Gracias por compartir, amigo!

My apologies if your mouth is watering. 😇 I did not mean to say all Brazilian condoms. The condoms in Salvador were just fine. But the condoms in Recife and in Rio are too tight for me. I just came back home from my night tour. I started in Blue Termas. I arrived about 7:15, and the place was empty. Perhaps 15 people, I doubt any of them was a GP. There were a couple of younger boys, probably about 30. I engaged in conversation with them and thy advised me to try again but earlier. I walked around he facilities, small but nice and clean. I was checking out about 7 minutes after checking in. The guy in the reception desk was very nice and did not charge me. He also advised me to try at an earlier time. I called an Uber and went to TBV. Great night, but as yesterday, not as crowded as a week ago. I think that a festival that is going on in the Marco Zero area may have affected the attendance. The smoking hot guy that I tried to get a programa with a week ago to find out that he was only top was there. He is so hot for me that I tried to negotiate a programa without penetration. Unfortunately he does not kiss either. No penetration, no passionate French kissing, no pleasure for me. When I was about to give up. H, showed up. Shinning huge smile, when he greeted me I thought he was mistaking me for someone he had met before. He seemed to be so happy to see me. He delivered what I need. A little bit of conversation, some hot make up, now that I am older I need to warm up the stew before eating it. We ended in the presidential suite and he did a great job job. I would repeat with him. H told me that he had lived several years in Rio (not working in the saunas, he is a music artist), perhaps that has to do with his style, miles away from the local discretion. The drinks I was served were super strong, and the food they were serving looked delicious. Chicken Stroganoff with white rice and crispy fried potato sticks, chicken pie, and lasagna. Overall, I am consolidating my opinion. The local sauna culture is not my favorite. Even when I am having a good time, the guys are not what I like the most, twinks close to 20. Most of the guys here are closer to 30 and above.

Have you ever joined one of the Finca field trips? I guess the fee covers only transportation, food, and one night in the finca. Or is it not an overnight experience? If you hook up with a boy you have to pay him besides the fee?

Another relaxing week in Recife. A little bit because I have not yet been seduced by the local sauna scene, a little bit because of the weather (rain, cloudy days), and a little bit because my free lance gig kept me busy some days. I spent my first day in the beach, after my frustrated expedition last weekend. I went to Paris Plage Recife, according to ChatGPT the most gay friendly barraca in Boa Viagem. The AI advised me to go on the weekend, but you have to get up very early those days. I went over there last Wednesday and got my front raw location at 10:30 am. The service was great, a cute boy that made sure I was happy. The drinks were amazing, but not the food. I dropped the rice and beans on top of everything, it came in a separate tray. The chicken was dried and poorly cut, like Jamaicans do, leaving bone splinters that are dangerous for your mouth and the rest of your digestive track. Instead, I should have taken advantage of the many vendors offering much more affordable and better food. IMG_8049.mov The beach was full of families, perhaps the weekend is different but I do not think so. I love Pernambucanos, they are super friendly and kind, but they also are super religious and socially conservative, which I do not like at all. Very, very few ice candy for my eyes. I got you an example. I spent 6 hours in the beach, and my fingers are more than enough to count the hotties I saw. So far, beautiful men are not a strong point for Recife. A word of appreciation goes for the friend @Mavica. I am not really a beach person, I find sand and waves annoying, but I do like the experience now and them. But I always do it when I have company. Mavica's post encouraged me to try it by myself and the entire experience was great. Muito obrigado, Mavica meu querido! This week I also walked around the old town. I visited the Museu de Arte Moderna Aloísio Magalhães. It is a nice small museum set in a colonial house. Close to the Museum, I found a street fair for plants and fish lovers. IMG_8082.mov The city is full of rivers and bays, crossed by a wide array of bridges. And you have to be alert all the time, because there are jewels everywhere. I am walking by myself and during day light, I have not perceived any threats. The locals are extremely friendly, and the few times I got lost I always found a loving soul to help me. Actually, they found me. They noticed me trying to get oriented with my phone and without me asking for help, they came to rescue me. Mostly humble, street workers. I found the Casa da Cultura de Pernambuco. It is an old jail that is now occupied by artisans and other sellers of local products. The stores are set inside what used to be cells and dungeons. It has a second level but I did not dare to clim the stairs due to my vertigo. I also visited the Museu da Cidade the Recife, which is just a fortification built by Dutch colonizers back in foundational times. The edification is beautiful but there is not much more to see. The site's name is quite misguiding. That lady was walking in circles around the flag pole when I arrived. I counted four circles after my arrival. I thought that perhaps she was some kind of religious weirdo. She left after her fourth circle. Today I went out for a walk and found paradise: a bakery like the ones we Argentineans love. Real artisanal bread, pastries and cakes. They offer a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner, so I am going to visit them often. IMG_8114.mov Last night, Friday, I returned to Termas Boa Vista. The day was weaker than the previous Friday. Very few GPs, none of them motivated me to hire them, and also less civilians. I ended in a free cabin with a local, a 40 years old, very sexy Pernambucano. We made up, suck each other, and came together, I did it on his face and he did it on the floor while I was milking his sexy face. This time I went straight to the lockers when I arrived, and remained shirtless the entire time. I do keep my short pants on, so I have pockets for condoms (local camisinhas are a little bit too tight for me), money for tips, and my phone. By the way, I have to insist with the bar boys for them to accept my tip. Even before they knew I was tipping, they fixed an extra strong caipiroska for me. They all are amazing. I think this sauna is a great place to hang out with friends, as the drinks and the food are good and very affordable, much more affordable than a conventional bar o restaurant. It is also cool to hook out with other men and have non transaccional sex. But so far, I do not see why so many friends praise the local GPs scene. Not good for me. I am actually with saudade for Rio and Salvador. My plan is to have today my first visit to Blue Termas (it is a 15 minutes walk from my Airbnb), and tomorrow is Recife Spa's turn. I have seen so many bad reviews of Blue T that I have not found the motivation to visit it even when it is so close. Today, I go prepared to leave early and head towards TBV, Saturdays is a very strong day over there. I'll keep you all posted.

You should not get your information from TikTok. -
It has been less than two weeks and three sauna visits, but I have not seen many of those super hot men you guys are describing. Just a few of them, the fingers in one hand are more than enough to count them. But alas! we all have different preferences and I still have time to change my assessment about Recife.

I joined Fercho WA List and received tons of pictures of their offerings. I was disappointed, their boys are not at all attractive to me. Only one out of ten, or even less, seem to be hirable for me. This was not like that a few years ago, when I attempted a contract with one of their boys and failed. Back them they had much hotter guys their portfolio.

Still, are you saying they are dangerous because they are undocumented? Are you ICE?

I know! At the moment, my heart is tending towards Rio. However, I have not yet spent my testing month in Medayork. I do not have to make my decision until mid 2026, but I would love to be at my new home for my 64th birthday. You had a lot to do with Rio's pole position at the moment. It always was the strongest candidate (beach city, saunas, diversity, seasons), but the group of friends you connected me with made a huge difference. The only advantage for Medellin at the moment is the language. However, as an Argentinean from Corrientes with 25 years living in the US, I feel culturally closer to Brazilians than to Colombians. Let's see. I think I want Rio to win.
