She did not. Boca Juniors is placed in La Boca, a humble neighborhood of immigrants back then, while River Plate is in Núñez, an affluent suburb back then. Both neighborhoods are still contrasting, but the club's fans transcend social class and geography.

LOL. Those are outdated and misguiding stereotypes. Among the followings of both clubs you will find rich and poor fans. The stereotypes come from the origin of the clubs, but are not representative any longer.

I am not interested in soccer. When I was a kid, I used to say I was a BJ's fan (no, not that BJ) because my mamá was.

No, my friend. I have experienced the worst of Capitalism in the USA. But anyway, I am not getting into that debate.

Well, that's a Sci Fi classic dystopian landscape. I do not know whether that will happen or any of the alternative dystopian futures, but I am pessimistic. Most people seem to be choosing the individualist way, even when it may be selfless. I am not wired to believe in individualist solutions. I, myself, am giving up. At 62, I am not trying to change the world any longer and instead I am focusing on myself. I have lots of things to get better at. Meanwhile, even if everything is going to hell, I am thrilled at what is happening. And by the way, I am (was) rather an anti-capitalist than an anti-communist. Both systems have pros and cons. Maybe the exit is something in between.

About the first part, we do not know. Evidently, Luigi's mesmerizing looks have to do with this viral reaction. However, we do not know what would have happened should he was the Hunchback. In my opinion, I think there is enough evidence to think that people would have still empathized with the targeted execution of a representative of greedy capitalist corporations, specially the health care cluster in the US. About the second part, I share your concern. As an educator I can see everyday how we are disintegrating in anomia and amorality. Rather than condemning Luigi, which would be scapegoating, I choose to reflect on how we need radical reforms in our economic systems. The radical immorality of a few making enough money to buy planets, while an overwhelming majority of honest workers cannot pay their rent or feed their children after working 12 hours daily, it is a sure recipe for social disintegration and terrorist actions.

I truly believe that the people saying "murder is murder" to condemn Hot Luigi are a bunch of hypocrites. I bet you there are a thousand situations where they would justify assassination, executions, and even genocide. But that is just a personal opinion. What is not a personal opinion: Luigi Mangioni is innocent. If you are so concern about the rule of law, you have to accept he is innocent until proven guilty. Otherwise, you are a hypocrite. Fact. Whether or not you agree, Mr. Thompson is not seen as an innocent victim. Fact. Whether or not you agree, whoever killed him is seen as a hero who self sacrifice to make a political statement and effect change. Fact. This is triggering unexpected reactions. I am not so interested in Luigi's real motivations, but in the consequences of this assassination. Will Luigi be judged and condemned? Will the prosecution find a jury that will condemn him? It looks like #FreeLuigi and Luigi's popular support continues growing. Additionally, copycats may start popping up. I have not seen anything in the WaPo, and the topic seems to be intentionally hidden by US media, but the international press is discussing the growing threat for Corporate America. The photo above is taken from an Argentine newspaper, and shows an example of flyers that are popping up in NYC. In the past, and this is my political formation, we would advocate for community organization and a collective political fight. In the past, and this is history, significant political change was achieve mostly through violent riots and popular mobilizations. In the present, younger people seems to be more self centered and individualist. Perhaps Luigi is a sign of this new times. The Elon Musks of the world are pretty much almighty and protect themselves behind their operational puppets, their many Mr. Thompsons. Perhaps the young does not see organization as a way to go against limitless capitalist and corporate greed. Perhaps individual acts of terrorism are the sign of the times. Perhaps Luigi's act is perceived as a heroic, individual self sacrifice to make a rotund political statement and effect change. Most interestingly, he could be successful if CEO hunting season is opening. I am not advocating for it, but just fascinated for this development.

By the way, for those interested in useful tips and not pretentious lectures, do not expect free cabins on Mondays. They were not free back in April, and they are not free now. Junior would not have this offer on as long as 117 continued close on this day. Instead, pay attention to Fridays. I am unsure on whether today the promotion will be on, but soon Point will offer cabinas liberadas on segunda feiras.

Can you read back the thread? Or your ego blurs your R&C skills?

I am in Argentina since mid-November. This is not an adventure trip, so I do not think I will share much. I just wanted to post a few tips, as the local situation has radically changed this year. Bringing cash is yet the most convenient option, but as the local currency is now stronger, the difference between the official rate and the "blue dollar" is less than 10% and dropping. Yesterday it was 7%. This makes the use of credit cards a new and convenient option. CC operations run according to the "dólar MEP" for foreigners, which is slightly higher than the official rate and closer to the blue rate. Do not plan on withdrawing cash from ATMs. The limit is extremely low for withdrawals (in my case, $AR 50,000 with a Priority City account), and the fee you have to pay is about U$S 12 each time. Yep, it is a no, no, no. An appealing alternative if you run out of cash is to transfer money to yourself through Western Union, just be aware that you may need to carry a voluminous pile of bills due to the rampant inflation. I would not make big transfers, but always less than 1,000, preferably less than 500. Consider that currently the biggest bill here is $AR 10,000, they just printed $AR 20,000 bills but they are not yet available. In general, I would say prices are twice (calculated in US dollars) what they were during my previous trip, in June 2023. The challenge for the local economy is that all prices were distorted by subsidies and gov control. You add inflation, and no one knows where prices really are. It is going to take some time for the local economy to balance, meanwhile you will find the same product with a huge price variation from one shop to another. Some prices are currently higher than in the US, like some meds and clothing, but most of the prices of goods that visitors would consume are similar or lower than in the US. For the locals it is unbearable, for a tourist coming from the US or West Europe it is still a good deal. But due to the currency situation in Brazil, all tourism is going to be sucked by our Brazilian friends. I have not hired escorts so far, and I do not think I will. But perusing the comments in the local forums, the sex market situation seems to be similar to the broader market's. People are sharing experiences with prices from 20 bucks to 200. As in the past, the best deals are from Skokka, the highest prices are in soytuyo, and Rentmen is a guarantee of ridiculous overprices. Again, this is not based on my experiences but on comments I am reading in the Foro Pirata. In Buenos Aires, Grindr worked very well for me for non-transactional sex. Now I am inside the country, close to Paraguay. Although I have found a menu abundant on chipá, chipá mbocá, sopa paraguaya, asado, empanadas, milanesas de surubí, and other local delicacies, my diet has been low on dicks. None so far, but I have not been hunting. For the older forum members, if you remember and traveled back then, the general situation seems to be evolving to a context similar to the 90s, under Carlos Menem’s presidency. Argentina will probably stop being a popular destination for international tourism (all tourism from bordering countries is already gone), and countries like Brazil, the US, Spain, France, and Italy (all fav destinations for the locals) will see an invasion of Messi fans.

LOL. I now understand what is happening. Someone more knowledgeable than you are picked you spreading misinformation (not me, of course!), corrected you, and now you need to keep showing off your know-it-all preaching. It is ok, boo.

Can you read question marks, doctor?
