Argentina and Rio de Janeiro July 2019
Latbear4blk replied to Latbear4blk's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
I am in Corrientes, and my Grindr is melting. The pos is the abundance of young guys of all kinds interested in an older bear. The con is to find them amongst the even more abundant closeted guys with no pictures. And they are so fucking insistent! I hope there is no limits for blocking profiles. Yesterday I hooked up with a 30 y.o. hottie who invited me to his apartment, four blocks away from my mother's place, where I am staying while here. Great time, I will see him again at least one more time before flying back to Buenos Aires. Prices here are so much better than in Buenos Aires. Margaritas are $AR 130. And they are huge and strong. Last night I had two and got as drunk as I do with 4 or five American drinks. Today I am inviting my family to eat to a Brazilian style parrilla. $AR 400 per guest and you eat delicious meats and sides with a regional touch (besides the standard ones things like chipas, mandioca (yuca), mbaipu) until you stop. Once again I am missing this year an annual event that started in Buenos Aires after I emigrated. This year was the 5th edition of the "Night of the Philosophy". It is an amazing festival where the local thinkers and artists merge art and philosophy, and is a quite popular middle class event. You will need to translate if you do not read Spanish, but here you have a nicely written report: https://www.lanacion.com.ar/cultura/la-noche-filosofia-le-puso-calor-del-nid2263100 The translator may give you non sense some times, the report is full of regionalisms. A thing that caught my attention was one of the author's remarks. In one of the night events, students from Schools of Philosophy present in four minutes the topics of the papers they are working on. The author highlights as "disturbing" the topic Why do we fight, out of a list that includes Sexual Diversity, Photography and Memory, Game and Justice, and Theater and performance. The whole event seems very representative of the Buenos Aires I experienced in the 80s and 90s, and I am terrible sorry that I missed it AGAIN. If you can schedule your travels to coincide with the next edition, you should. I will be more careful next year if my fucking bad memory allows me. -
I just saw this advertisement in Twitter. Does anyone know anything about this sauna?

I will see him this Saturday. But I have bad news for you. He is retired and you will not be able to contact him. Even if you have his old number, he has a new one now. -

I wanted to show you all Buenos Aires, but the city was in one of her shy days and hide behind beautiful clouds IMG_3058.MOV -
I agree. However it looks likes his popularity was not really affected, not even with Black voters, according to some early polling.

I liked Harris a lot. She is someone to watch. I found Gillibrand so annoying, yelling to talk over others and then, saying nothing. Pete left everyone speechless when he accepted that the lack of diversity of his police dpt was his failure. He may keep going up in the polls. Biden and Sanders did ok. Everyone else is an afterthought. With the exception of Ms. Williamson, what a heck. She caught my attention at the beginning, when she said that America does not have a health but a sickness care system. From that point she did not stop going down, I mean really down, with crazy fringe comments. Her closing will make a SNL sketch. I had never heard of her before, and hopefully I will not hear again from her again.

Done with family for the day, and waiting for the debates to start. Tomorrow I fly to Corrientes. While I wait, here yo have a preliminary report on local providers. Rentmen here shows rates. The standard price targeting visitors seems to be U$S 100, but there are a few guys asking for 200/300, and even one at 400. However, a couple of guys who hit me in Grindr asked for just AR$ 1,500. I do not know whether or not knew I am coming from the USA, but my profiles there are written in English. In the local forums, clients seem to be happy with rates in the 1,500/2,000 range. -

I do not understand how anyone can like Beto. I think his performance last night was a disaster, avoiding to answer questions to vomit his memorized talking points and forcing his Spanish versicles. Other debaters saw he was an easy and poorly prepared target and scored points by picking on him. I do not understand either how anyone can like Tulsi, she sounds completely fake to me, and also avoided answering direct and specific questions. I think Warren did good, just that. She was last night front runner and left that stage intact and reassuring his knowledge and preparedness. Some people is saying that she avoided to respond the question about confiscating guns, but I disagree. She clearly responded that she is not going to buy shit about it without further research. Just one more prove that her policies are well rooted on science. Castro did surprised me in a good way and I think he added several point to his brand, although I do not think he has any chances to anything better than the vice-presidency. If he is very lucky. The rest f the group will be soon forgotten. Perhaps. I am not going to pretend to actually understand their chances in after Trump universe.

Arrived to Buenos Aires his morning. A car from Ezeiza to Recoleta was U$S 36 (AR$ 1,550). he guy did not help me ro carry my bag and so I did not tip him. I did not start yet fucking, but I could not avoid diving in delicious food. These prices are from a fancy French place where I had lunch today, not chip for local standards. I am trying to see Carlos Aleman tomorrow. He is now retired from the local market, frustrated at the complaints about his rate (he is asking for 3K, which at nowadays currency is U$S 70). I am not sure yet whether or not we will meet, as I do not have much time before leaving to Corrientes. I am actually planning on a fest of local providers when I return from Rio, the last two weeks of July. -
We are all aware that both, Harris and Warren have a well recorded history of unfriendly attitude towards sex work and the adult entertainment industry. The good think is that they both seem to have changed, or at least to be evolving from their previous stands. I just need more than public statements dropped in interviews and conversations. Specially from Warren, I want a plan.

Both, Kamala Harris and EW have changed their previous stand. I do believe that people can change and their mindsets and opinions evolve. Which does not mean I am going to believe them just because they say so. This week I have sent requests of information on this issue to Mayor Pete, Warren, and Harris campaigns. Those are the three candidates I am following with the most interest, considering perhaps even volunteering my time to work for them. Let's see if I get any evidence other than just friendly statements in interviews and social media. https://ilikepinga.com/2019/03/01/decriminalizing-sex-work/

They are not pricks. The airlines trying to save space are. -
Are you asking for an agency or for a recommendation for a provider? Also, are you visiting DC? I would love inviting you for dinner or drinks.

Misterbnb.com: The Gay Equivalent to Airbnb
Latbear4blk replied to axiom2001's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
I researched them for my trip to Rio. Their prices are significantly higher than the traditional airbnb. I ended renting a place in Copacabana in airbnb, at half of the lowest price offered in Misterbnb. -

Buenos Aires - any updates?
Latbear4blk replied to geodesic's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
The websites I recommend in my blog are still relevant. For prices, I advise you to check the gossip at escortsxp. It seems like a premium escort like Carlos Aleman is charging $AR 3,000 (at current currency U$S 67) to local clients, I am sure they will charge higher if they know you are a visitor. Local clients are complaining a lot saying that 3000 is abusive. Just do your research, the boys must be desperate with the local crisis. I read that Douglas is still charging AR$ 1500. I am going to be there in July 5 and 6, then I leave to Rio, and I am back in BA 15 to 30. -

Thank you! My first task is meeting a boy in the sauna to spend some daytime with. -
Hello everyone. As usual, planning for my trips in advance. Actually, I am leaving to Buenos Aires on June 25th. As Argentina is well known territory, I am not planning for it. But during my staying in Buenos Aires, I will spend one week in Rio. THAT is unknown territory, it would be my first time there. I already have the tickets. I decided to rent an airbnb instead of going to a hotel. That decision on which one is not yet made, I am waiting for some suggestions from sister @numazu1, who is too busy hanging out with Brazilian boys and has abandoned us but still chats in WhatsApp, and sends teasing pictures all the time. If anyone is going to be around, let me know if you want to meet. My plan is very simple. Writing and networking in the morning, beach at noon and early afternoon, sauna in the evening. Any tips about other things to do will be very appreciated. I do not think I would leave Ipanema/Copacabana area. For instance, I have zero interest on visiting the Cristo.

Trump Bans Most Travel To Cuba
Latbear4blk replied to sanddunes's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
I would love visiting Cuba while the Revolution is still alive. It is in my plans for the next two years. I understand that if you really want to go, you just triangulate your flight. Fly or drive to Mexico, and from there you are free to fly to the island. I understand that Cuban customs and immigration officers will protect you by not stamping or leaving any trace in your passport.
