You are misrepresenting Kirk’s stance toward firearms.  He believed that the 2nd Amendment was a necessary firewall to prevent government tyranny.  “When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.”  Compare the constitutional rights we have in the US, most fundamental of which is freedom of speech, then compare that to the tyrannical government of Great Britain where the prime minister boasts about jailing ~30 people a day for “offensive” speech like “immigration is bad for Britain.”
Two notes about American gun violence:  it varies year to year, but between 54-62% of gun deaths are suicides.  Would confiscating all guns prevent those suicides?  Doubtful.  Japan, where individual gun ownership is near impossible, has a higher suicide rate than the US.  Also, at least half (the most conservative estimate, I think it’s probably closer to 75%) of all gun homicides result from narcotrafficking violence.  If you eliminate narcotrafficking homicides, our murder rate is comparable to Belgium’s.
The American Left has grown increasingly violent in recent years, in both word and deed.  They are constantly labeling those who oppose them as Nazis and “worse than Hitler.”  It’s a small leap from that rhetoric to the assasination of Charlie Kirk.  After all, who wouldn’t have killed Hitler in the 1930s to prevent the Holocaust?
Charlie never advocated violence, he always advocated free expression and open debate.  Watch his videos on YT engaging with college students and challenging their leftist indoctrination.  Compare that to college & university speech codes, Britain’s prison sentences for “offensive” speech, and the EU’s rapidly evolving restrictions on “hate speech.”  For all those who support banning hate speech, would you still support such a ban if I were the one who defined what constitutes “hate speech”?

The undeveloped area around Baguio is beautiful (green mountains often capped with clouds), but Baguio itself is kind of ugly because cheap, ugly construction spoils the natural beauty. YouTube shows a few videos of the Igorot Hunks performing at Igorot Stone Kingdom theme park, but I can’t find a schedule anywhere, and unfortunately ISK does not have its own website.  Since Baguio is a city of 350,000 its metro area 1 million, you’d think there would be enough LGBTs to support some sort of gay gathering spot, but I couldn’t find anything either.  
Yes, I found the Panagbenga a bit corny, but I say it in an endearing way:  parade floats, marching bands, and local groups making their way through the streets of Baguio.  It was all starting to look the same until my eyes popped out of my head thanks to the Igorot hunks.  I went to Baguio to visit family, and my visit happened to coincide with Panagbenga weekend.  I would never have gone to Baguio otherwise.

That is the standard response. All they need is to present their ID, and ultimately is a security layer for you, so you verify their age. Never believe a South American when they tell you they do not carry their ID with them.

Thank you, @macdaddi and @Latbear4blk, for the responses.  Only after posting this did I see that there was already a thread about where to stay in Bogotá.  Anyway, I contacted the Airbnb manager and got the reply I was hoping for:  fine, just let them know so they can give the name to the security desk.  So with a little advance problem, should be no problem.  I got an Airbnb just a block from Centro Comercial Andino for a terrific price.  I’m looking forward to my week in Bogotá!

Yup, I happened to be there during Panagbenga this year — my uncle and a bunch of cousins live in Baguio.  The parade is a bit corny, but lots of fun.  The Igorot hunks are definitely the highlight.  My eyes popped out of my head when they passed by.  
 
I hired in Manila but not Baguio, because 1) I was only there for 5 days and I hadn’t seen my Baguio family in years, and 2) slim pickings on rentmen.ph, and I didn’t know what other sites to use.

With just 9 days before the election, the Biden campaign called a lid today at 11:27am. With the polls closing fast & the early voting tallies looking good for the opponent, what presidential candidate takes the rest of the day off so close to the big day?? Barely There Biden has declined so much physically & mentally that he needs to move into assisted living, not 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

When the GOP had the Senate majority, they rejected the Dem president's SC nominee during an election year.  When a SC vacancy opened up again during an election year, the GOP Senate confirmed the GOP president's nominee.  Them's the rules.  The Republicans played by the rules, and at some point the Dems have to accept that, although they never will.
Dems wanna pack the court?  Gotta take back the Senate first, and thanks to Cunningham's sexting, a Dem-majority Senate is looking less & less likely.  Also, GOP candidates are starting to look competitive in seats that earlier looked lost (MI, AZ).
I read at the beginning of ACB's nomination process that McConnell was aiming for Oct 26 as the final confirmation date, and whaddya know, it looks like they're on schedule.
