I think people are too afraid about perception and want to be liked. If you would say, "well, the normal price is 600, this includes kissing etc...the boy didn't want to kiss and there was no chemistry, but I'll give him the 600 and walk away" I can get into that. Chalk it up as a lesson learned. But after such an experience, why would you pay double the normal price? That doesn't make sense to me at all. Doesn't that go for anything you buy in life? Name any situation where you would pay double after a dissatisfactory experience. Can we do what we want with our money? Yes, of course we can. But since this is an open forum, can't we have an opinion about it and say so? I find it interesting that throughout this thread you've freely offered advice about how to select boys and even characterized the opposing view as "scroogy," but when others share their perspective on tipping practices, suddenly it becomes "other people's money" and we're just bystanders who can't assess the situation. Seems like we should all be able to share our views on an open forum, including opinions on whether rewarding poor service helps or hurts everyone in the long run.

Björn Andrésen, the Swedish actor best known for his breakout role in the 1971 film Death in Venice, has died aged 70. At 15, Andrésen was cast in Italian director Luchino Visconti’s Death in Venice, based on Thomas Mann’s novella, in which he played Tadzio, a beautiful boy with whom an older man, played by Dirk Bogarde, becomes obsessed. Visconti called Andrésen “the most beautiful boy in the world” in the press, a title which stuck – much to the dismay of Andrésen, who would later speak of how his negative experience working with Visconti affected the rest of his life... https://www.theguardian.com/film/2025/oct/27/bjorn-andresen-swedish-actor-dies-aged-70

I am not sure I understand any of this. What are the signs you are hoping for? Some people are shy and will not look at you no matter what. Others play the horny, in love, or what ever act they put on and the service can still be bad. Hit or miss...but one thing I would never do is blame myself. @vinapu we don't have to be cheap to expect to get what we pay for. If I am not happy with the service I am not paying double for the experience. All it does is reward bad behavior. and the next lucky guy will be treated the same.

Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, has died.iendo replied to mauRICE's topic in Gay Thailand I might have read it wrong, but the first part of your post sounded a bit like a reflection on Thai society leading into the real question of whether you could have your beer, which is of course a fair concern. That’s what prompted my sarcastic reaction. As for the comparison, every country relates to its royal family in its own way. In places like the Netherlands or the UK, the tone and boundaries around public discussion are simply different. Anyway, I’m there in two weeks myself, so I’ll just take things as they come. I’ll blend in, wear black, and let the locals set the tone.

Medellin airport targeting single male travelers and denying entryiendo replied to frazzle's topic in Gay Colombia Seems like a normal U.S.-style secondary check to me. Nothing close to the full-on searches, long detentions, or “come back tomorrow” treatment plenty of travellers get when they land in the States. Welcome to the real world. Same story everywhere: a lot of regular people get blamed for things they never supported. Many Americans are catching the same kind of heat now. Sad times, really.

For those who like to see what is going on in Pattaya. I thought that it was just one stream that changed every now and then but there are 10 live-streams of various places around Pattaya continuously. Also useful to check traffic and such. https://www.youtube.com/@ThaiMeUp-Live

I have seen were a couple of boys come from and it is usually from the countryside. We are talking middle of nowhere with nothing to do...well, mostly not for us. If you are looking for a place where many boys conjugate in bars etc, there is certainly nothing you will find that is better than in Bangkok and Pattaya. However, if you want to give it some effort and time, you could roam the countryside, but I assume that was not what you meant.

You might have had a point, if it weren’t for the fact that I still enjoy the whole atmosphere at Windmill. The thing is, some of the older crowd can’t handle anything above 50 decibels when it comes to music, and they’ll nurse a Sprite for hours. That might actually be the reason. It’s a sharp contrast to places where the music’s louder and the drinks are flowing.
-
@vinapu You beat me to it! That food looked good. I remember that I've seen many boys on the app. Now, that must have been hornet then, otherwise that scene died? Looking forward to hear the rest.

Since you got the latest news in your own thread: Any rocket scientist you'll find better have boots on the ground. In the mean time, a little fun doesn't hurt and the second comment got me rolling.

AirAsia is made up of several different companies. From what I understand, Thai AirAsia has much better options for arranging a replacement plane if one breaks down, compared to other AirAsia branches. Like captainmick, I don’t recall any negative experiences, though I haven’t flown with AirAsia recently.
