accoording to the Mamasan M, is Cupidol now an open bar.

I am not asking about prices in bars. More interested in the topic of the video. The part that starts at 2:30 and for that i like to compare with gogo bars in Bangkok.
-
I always find it interesting to read about prices on this board. I like the twinkies and usually get quoted ST between 1000 and 1500 baht. Depending on the location, it could even be less or for longer. The gay scene is very different from the girly bar scene but some tricks are universal I suppose. This video is about the girly bars but i wonder if this is going on in the male gogo bars, especially in Bangkok. What I wish would exist is a Gentelmen's club like those in Pattaya but with boys. The interesting part starts at 2:30 minutes.

Where are these prices coming from? I remember Jupiter used to have crazy prices 15 years ago, and i haven't been since. but it seems that they are all getting a bit nutty. Models...are they the coyotes from days past? The term "model" says it all. Someone to look at. I'd prefer a good prostitute. What happened to "Up to you" ???

I am coming boys! 😘 Little over three weeks and I will pay them a daily visit.

Mine was that he had to go to school early in the morning. On a saturday nonetheless. Obviously I thought he was full of it and told him that he could leave Immidiately. Somehow I did get to know him much better in the following weeks and the school story was 100% true. This was in Medellin but it did teach me a universal lesson.

Now I get where it is. Wow, that used to be crazy area. I have not been there in 10 years. Come to think of it, it would be great to get that part of Surawong going again. Drinks used to be much cheaper at that end. I remember they used to have afterparties there when Taksin decide have bars close at 12AM. But i remember that everything was concentrate with 100 meters from (Mango) street entrance.

Indeed. Medellin is full with boys from Venezuela. Many of them are still Illigaal and could not get a normal job. Those who work "normal" jobs are often underpaid and this affects the colombians who are looking for work too. Don't forget that many of the sex studios are in Medellin. Not saying that the webcamers are all prostitutes, but many are. Enjoy your trip!

Maybe this will make you even more convident. I logged on Grindr and Hornet in Bangkok and pattaya yesterday and got a few conections on Hornet and few dozen on grindr in 24 hours. In Medellin I had around 4 to 5 hundred in 24 hours. Shocking!

Me too! It was more or less instantly. Not different than in Novembar last year.

I've been to Medellin in December and in January. That place was saturated with boys.

I've spoken to 4 boys and one mamasan these last days that have just returned to repectivily Bangkok and Pattaya. Historically it is not the best time of the year for tourism in Thailand, but I wonder if we can see an influx of boys the coming weeks. Most have been away for 2 years now. anyone noticing some positive movement in that direction?

Funny you bring this up. My friend is joining me tomorrow from Medellin. We are going to travel through Mexico a few weeks together. He also suggested me to book an apartment in Laureles when I come back to Medellin.

Here, you don't notice anything more than we are (mostly) already used to. People are wearing masks but it is pretty loose. I got a booster vaccine two weeks ago and been tested twice the last 6 days. My holiday continues in Mexico and we are thinking about Cuba. No idea what was wrong with me but I feel great now. I'm (we) are not getting any younger and will not be able to keep taking holidays like this.

I have made it to Medellin and arrived last Wednesday. If you just follow the instruction given by the government, there is no problem coming in. There is not much to report because I have been sick since day two. On day one we went to bar Chiquita (or something like that) and some other bar at Parque Lleras. A few things that I noticed which I think are noteworthy: People in hospitality are nice. I've been to many countries around the world and I can honestly say that I have not been treated better in any other country. Last Friday we went to Industry. Before going there I've read some reviews online and people were pretty negative about the staff. I can honestly say that everyone we interacted with from doormen to bar staff and waiters were as nice and helpful as people can be. Another point: I have never been in a situation where I got a bill with tip pre-calculated on the bill, but not mandatory. That seems to be normal here. I don't have a problem with it but it was a bit of a culture shock. As I said, I was sick most of the time and I will be leaving tomorrow. But next month I'll be back and I know there will be many interesting things to write about. Ohh, it's also warmer than I had expected. 28c some days.

I'll be in Medellin Tuesday and I can't see myself worrying about Covid all that much. There is nothing wrong with taking precautions and finding the path with the least risk, of course. I'm more of a bar and club person, so that one dude that I am kissing will be the least of my worries. I had COVID, my 2 vaccinations and recently a boostershot. Now, I like to expereince things as normal as possible. Enojoy your trip!

Colombia: full list of hot spots
iendo replied to Tartegogo's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
It's is not possible (for me) to use the CoronApp as a foreigner unless I would have resident ties with Colombia. I cannot add a foreign passport number nor change the phone number input to a foreign prefix. The previous advice about the Check-mig app seems to be the correct one. -
I just got back from Thailand and in two weeks I'm travelling to Colombia. I already made a lot of new interesting friends on Grindr, I'll keep you all posted.

Why would you post a link to the same article that I posted?

Yes, that's why I asked. I also heard and seen some videos about people that used Uber. The driver would ask them to sit at the front because then it would look like they were friends. But as I understand it now, Cabify is illegal as well. I know Cabify from Barcelona and the in Medellin they have an app "Easy Taxi." Here is a two-year-old thread from Tripadvisor: https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g297478-i6346-k12473130-Transportation_in_Medellin_Uber_Cabify_Easy_Taxi-Medellin_Antioquia_Department.html The agency from which we rent a house is sending a car for us. This service will cost us $80.000 pesos from Medellin's José MarÃa Córdova airport, which is equally priced as a regular taxi but I would gladly pay more, just for the safety aspect. https://medellinguru.com/get-to-medellin-from-the-airport/

Did you use Cabify?

Did you ever been to the altitude of Bogota? I've been and left after a few days because I couldn't handle the altitude. It's only 250 meters higher than CDMX, but that was a world of difference to me. Something to take into concideration.

It's pretty normal to make assumptions with limited information. This is how we make sense of things and navigate through life. I said what it proves to me based on my experience, not as a matter of fact.
