  1. Yeah, that the BIG question, isn't it. I'm arriving in CDMX in 19 days. When I booked, everything was pretty much OK. Now, numbers are on the rise. How will it be in 3 weeks??? No idea! If you look at Colombia, it seems to be going in the right directing. For me, I can just go and see where it ends. I wouldn't mind buying an extra ticket to Medellin, but my travel companion has set dates. I could spend an extra two weeks in CDMX or anywhere else for that matter. My friend is not so lucky. He has responsibilities and testing positive before the flight home would be a drama for him. If I could turn back time, I rather would have booked last-minute and accepted a higher airfare. Hindsight! If not Mexico or Colombia, I could have gone to Romania, Ukraine, Moldavia, Turkey...etc...
  2. It's very hard to make a decision. A lot can happen in 20 days. https://prnt.sc/1evrnd4 That doesn't look good at all. It seems that Mexico City is still a green zone. But if that changes and there will be no nightlife open or even worse, we might have to change our plans. https://prnt.sc/1evu216 But, I guess Brazil must be worse off but you guys don't seem to have any problems there.
  3. In 3 weeks I hope be in Mexico. Looking forward to the trip, Zona Rossa, and the gay scene in general. But I'm also a little worried. It seems that Mexico is the only country in the world that lets tourists (people in general) in without even a PCR tests. Firstly, I wonder why they don't ask people to get a PCR test in their country from origin. It's hard to believe that people would use that as an excuse not to come. With a couple of countries in Europe newly labeled as "RED" countries, can Mexico keep this up?
  4. It's funny how we complain when it's almost impossible for a great part of the world to get a Schengen visa :-)
  5. I watched this video a couple of months ago. Made me feel like wanting to be there.
  6. Your post had me googling a couple of things. I still don't know what "GP" stands for but I'd like to share one of the possible answers I got: GP is a norvegian abbreviation for "Gullrute-Pussy
  7. Didn't you say you bought too much in an earlier post? :-)
  8. @Latbear4blk It's fascinating how you are able to take pictures of the guys. The second and the third picture of Tony are outstanding. Definitely model material. Shave off a couple of years and I'd be in love :-) In Mexico city you can often just film guys or take photos when they are stripping in a club. Something unthinkable in most of the world. Do you pay them for a photo session or is it all inclusive. Forgive me if you have already answered this.
  9. A question for Americans or those that live there. When the government says that a certain country is on the no-go list, does that mean that you would lose you insurance cover in those countries too? For example: https://mx.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information-for-u-s-citizens-in-mexico/ Would it affect anything if you would go?
  10. If you would ask me where some of these photos were taken I would say somewhere in Europe. I'm very interested in visiting.
  11. Market share is indeed not most important. However, it does give you an idea about the size of the fleet. I'm not a big fan of waiting a long time before my ride request gets picked up by a driver. This is a problem that I often had with Cabify, in Spain. Here are two links from 2019. One from Mexico and the other from Colombia. The differences in Mexico city are not that deciding for me. Colombia seems to be a whole different matter. https://www.muycomputer.com/2019/07/05/didi-vs-uber-vs-beat-mexico-cual-es-mas-barata-en-mexico/ https://www.rcnradio.com/economia/uber-beat-didi-o-taxis-cual-servicio-es-mas-barato Translated to English by Google: https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=es&tl=en&u=https://www.muycomputer.com/2019/07/05/didi-vs-uber-vs-beat-mexico-cual-es-mas-barata-en-mexico/ https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=es&tl=en&u=https://www.rcnradio.com/economia/uber-beat-didi-o-taxis-cual-servicio-es-mas-barato
  12. This is what i found: I'll try to create a thread when I am there next month with some up-to-date information.
  13. In this thread UBER has been motioned a few times. I can assure you that you can get an Uber from the airport. Just like in other places such as Amsterdam or New Delhi, you will not find Ubers waiting in-front of the airport. You can order Ubers when you get outside. You just have to give them you terminal and door number and they pick you up 5 minutes later. I thought I was there in 2017 but turns out it was 2018. I was also there in September 2019 and ordered an Uber the same way. You can't beat that price.
  14. I'm going in 5 weeks. I'm staying in the Zona Rosa, Estocolmo. For me, it's really the best option. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/38855947?source_impression_id=p3_1625428150_Ll8oLPnTy9qBLzBk A small 1 bedroom apartment but it's relatively new, comfortable bed, good shower. Normally I am not a fan of doormen, but in this case it was quite alright. Yes, you will have to rely on someone opening the front door, but they never bother you or your guests. The best thing for me is that everything I need is within a couple of hundred meters. There might be a club that I might wanna visit (if open) but they will be no further than an Uber ride away. If you get one of the rooms that end on 3, you will have a quiet experience. They are in the front of the building. The rooms that end on 2 will give you more space and a washing machine, but they are very noisy. Rooms that end on 1 (i have never stayed in)are at the same side as 2... so. However, they say that this isn't a problem now because bars close early and therefor don't make much noise at night. I've stayed here 2 years ago for a week. I had just spent a week in Cuba. Mexico was not the same experience that I enjoyed 15 years ago. Logical, but still a sad realization. In 2017, I was there a week too and picked up a boy in one of the side streets of Hamburgo, could be Praga. I've met him 4 out of the 7 days that I was there. We went clubbing each of those nights. He liked to do blow with his lady-boy friends, but I didn't mind that. Good fun, and good sex...however, he was a twink and I know that many of the posters here have different tastes. In 2019, I met a guy at the same place. This one was not a party mouse. We only went for a short-time but sex was actually very good. Still, I'd prefer to hangout and party a little before hitting the hay. Unlike in 2017, this time I kept the boys number and I already contacted him about my imminent arrival. I'll still try to find someone to party with first, but he will be perfect for those nights that I strike out. Someone in this thread said that Puerto Vallarta would be better for the sex trade. I wonder if others think so too and if this goes for twinkies as well. For some reason, I always thought that it would be a waste of time. It might be interesting to spend a weekend there. Let me know! Oh, and if anyone will be there around that time, I'm always up for a drink and a chat.
  15. It says "Gay Bangkok" or "Gay Pattaya," but many posts seem to be copy pasted news articles from the various news outlets. Maybe a specific section for news articles would make it easier to get to the normal gay topics? Just an observation and thought.
  16. Agreed, and generally it's easy to re-book these tickets.
  17. I'm still thinking hard about visiting Brazil. Prices for business class tickets in November seem to good to be true. I'm choosing November because there is a small chance on a F1 Grand Prix. From Amsterdam to Sao Paulo Lufthansa, Iberia and Swiss airlines cost only a little bit more. Has anyone seen these prices before?
  18. I guess I'd be in for a double date. You take Will and I Jaden
  19. Interesting! Have you ever tried to find things that your guys have in common, other than being men? I'm genuinely interested because it took me some time to figure that out.
  20. In the case of my friend, I can tell you that it is about how paying would make him feel. He is not greedy but always wants to feel wanted. He never put me down for paying. I'm pretty open about that. Your last point, there are some pretty messed up scams going on in Havana. I'll explain how it works in the next post. Some of you might already know it. In short, some guys pretend to be police (they might even be) and try to get money from you because you are walking with a Cuban boy.
  21. Agreed, I should have said Havana because I've not been anywhere else. Your second point is valid too. But some people like the drama...as my friend does. I rather pay and know that I owe them nothing else. I knew that quote, never knew it was from Charlie Sheen.
  22. hehe, That's surely true for short-term memory. In this case, I am talking about summer 2019. The only reason i still know so much is because I've spoken about it with people who were there on multiple occasions, afterwards.
  23. Hi Guys, I've been busy for a while and writing doesn't come that easy for me. For those of you who are interested: Let me clarify the situation with my friend first. He is 53 and believe it or not, he doesn't pay for sex. I've known him for 20 years and this never changed. For people who are used to paying for sex, it might come as a surprise that a 53-year-old can have so many young guys, but he really can. I've seen boys follow him from Asia to Europe at their own expense. When he goes to Thailand, he goes to meet Chinese boys. These guys have their own money. He is always very clear about the money part. He usually gets his boys through the apps during the day and at night he goes out to drink and then sleep alone. I am the opposite. Back to Cuba... I read @macdaddi 's post about $15 for a night out in Cuba. This is not my experience. Cuba is crazy expensive in more ways than one. But I can not speak for other people's experiences. Day 2 was a Friday. In the daytime, we didn't do that much. At night Blondie came to pick us up to go to Pico Blanco. We had to pay some kind of entrance fee and then with the elevator to the top floor. I remember that the room was rather big with a single bar. There was a stage with many tables and chairs in front. We decided to sit at the right side of the stage but as far back as possible. I don't think it was overly expensive compared to the other places I've been to in Havana. It was not busy when we entered but there were some cute guys. One was my friends' type and he didn't waste time going after him. I stayed at the table drinking with Blondie till my friend came back with the boy. He was cute, had light skin, short straight dark hair, and a tongue piercing. Ugghhh, I'm not into piercings. The worst is when they have a nose ring. The boy, whose name I don't remember was very nice. He spoke fluent English and was interesting to talk to. In the meantime, the place filled up and Camilo also walked in. If you remember, he was the guy I met a night before and planned to meet this night in Pico Blanco. He looked just as cute as the night before. I invited him to come and sit next to me and we had some drinks. Around that time the show also started but that is all a blur to me now. I only remember that we had fun and we went in a group in an old Caddilac (could have been a chevy) to Mixto. Mixto was as much fun as the night before. After a while, Camilo came to me and asked why I wanted a threesome. I was not sure what he meant. i told him that I wasn't interested in a threesome. Then he told me that Blondie had asked him duhhhh... yeah, I had asked Blondie to find a boy, but obviously not a boy that I was already on a date with. Elian was in Mixto, too. HE WAS PISSED! And I don't mean drunk. As I said, he was 27 but looked very young and he was very small too. He was just cursing at my friend, who had dumped him the night before. I spoke to Elian a couple of times that night. He was intelligent and also fluent in English. He explained that he had dated my friend a couple of days prior, and he was disappointed that my friend went with so many other boys. This is really the story of the 20 years that I've known my friend. I lost count of how many boys came to me with the love problems they had with my friend. Pretty amazing! Especially when you know how many really nice boys he just dumped. Again, not one time was it about money. To be honest, this second day is hard for me to recall. Camilo went home with me and I did have a little crush. He had a perfect face and a perfect body... a great night. Besides this, no major crazy things happened. I think it all started to get crazy from day three. I might write about day three when I have a few drinks. Somehow it's easier to remember those things after a few :-)
  24. thanks Rob, I'll get back to your questions in a couple of days.
  25. Haha, that started on day two. Well, don't forget there already was a lot going on in and outside Mixto that night. While I would call blondie more manly than the boys I am normally into, my definition of "macho" is much more masculine. But I agree, he was definitely borderline. His age, at least perceived, and drinks might have given him the nod. I can write what happened on day 2 of 7 in a couple of days. It took me 2 hours to write this last post and I'm done for today. Wait, I do want to give my definitions to clarify my taste: X Straight: i guess this speaks for itself. However, they could also fall in most categories below. X Macho: manly acting guys that are muscled. * Manly: manly acting guys that are on the slimmer side. When, then I prefer them with soft facial features. ** Boyish: They don't have specific manly or feminine features. Max age I would say +/- 25 * Feminine: Is OK for me if they don't wear make-up or are too slim. They shouldn't be to extrovert either. X Lady boys: I guess this also speaks for it self. They X-es are not for me. The * are very welcome and I had a lot of fun with them. The ** are butterfly in the stomach material. The above is based on looks and motor coordination.
