There is a regional eSIM which also covers Laos

@Travelingguy Since I will be in Thailand, Laos and Cambodia next January/February I need a flexible solution, not just a local SIM o eSIM. Am I interpreting this correctly, that you were satisfied with Nomand? The prices seem to be ok and you can choose the countries/regions freely.

Last time I was there it was terribly crowded (Mainly Chinese). Done that, seen that... no more. Still worth a visit if you have never been there before though. The temples are extremely impressive.

Thanks bkkmfj2648 for your insight's. As I tend to roam around the Jomtien area, I wonder if you can find guys in the many bars in Supertown for offing? My impression is that you sit down an drink, but is it actually common to off one of the boys of those bars. Same with massage saloons like Soda?

Gut feeling served me well... in entire life, not just for Thai (or other) boys. Also in business, when I hired people and so on. But unfortunately there are exceptions. Just let it flow 😉

Was there twice. I can recommend it. Breakfast is not inhouse though. They send you to another place nearby. At least that was the case wen I was there

This is exactly why I prefer to travel alone. It forces me to interact with the locals and other travelers, find solutions for transportation and so on. I can f.ck around as much or as little as I want. But it can also be nice to have a traveling companion with whom you can share impressions and dinners (eating alone in a restaurant is sometimes a bit depressing for me) and with whom you can share room/car rentals (this was the case on the last trip to the southwestern US, for example). But then you need someone you can rely on and both need to be flexible so you can do things independently if both are in the mood to do so.

I know the problem. I look forward to seeing all those boys months in advance and then when I finally get there I don't feel like it. I think you shouldn't put yourself under pressure, that alone destroys your desire. I'm like Vinapu, once I've been to a sauna or a massage the engine starts on its own (unfortunately I'm not the go-go type).

Having the hotel 6 month's ahead isn't that important. But I want to fix the flight to BKK and train trip to Laos early because specially the train tickets are usually sold out fast (I want a 1st class sleeper). So why not book the hotel as well between arrival in BKK and departure towards Laos

Regarding Hotel... I am planing my next trip in January 25. Along others I consider The Quarter Silom for some days. Which room can be recommended, the one with balcony or pool view? Thanks a lot!

I know about that dogs because I also take the beach side avoiding the traffic lights on the other side (on the way from Jomtien Complex towards Sansuk for example). I never experienced an issue with those dogs. But it's good to know that it can be different. BTW, on that way you pass by Marcos, my favorite Italian Restaurant in that area... (on the non-beach side of the road)
