You blame everyone but yourself for not knowing things: hotel staff, the internet, other members of these forums. And if you don't like people commenting about you, you're probably not ready for online forums. Yet you keep posting about your errors! π

How embarrassing for you! You could have asked them the name of the holiday. Do you not know how to do an online search? It's not exactly rocket science, and it takes all of five seconds. That's no time at all off of your busy schedule. Yet you complain that you were somehow inconvenienced by a known holiday. Oops! π

Evidently you didn't search very thoroughly. I just googled the following: "February 24 Buddha Thailand holiday" The top search result was this page: https://www.thailandnow.in.th/event/makha-bucha-day/ Makha Bucha Day 2024 Makha Bucha Day (also, Magha Puja) is a religious celebration marking Lord Buddhaβs teachings to his disciples that falls on Febrary 24th, 2024. Makha Bucha Day (also, Magha Puja) is a religious celebration marking Lord Buddhaβs teachings to his disciples. As with most Thai religious holidays, Makha Bucha is celebrated according to the traditional lunar calendar, on the day of the full moon of the third lunar month. Though specific dates may vary, the event usually takes place in late February or early March. This yearβs Makha Bucha Day falls on February 24th.

It does seem to be a true story, as a number of sites explain the family's background and motivations. Let's just call it what it is: "The Canadian Beverly Hillbillies Move to Moscow"

In your desperation, you're now clowning around with betting odds as a predictor of election success -- more than nine months before the election. π€‘ The funniest thing about your poll? Michelle Obama is is in third place with 9% of the poll! π Here's the truth about betting polls: A quick note on presidential election odds: this betting market often can act as a sort of wish fulfillment for people's political leanings. There is nothing that indicates Michelle Obama should have the third-best odds to win the 2024 presidential election, but that's the case. As you'll see below, she also has the second-best odds to win the 2024 Democratic nomination for president. That's a reflection of how the money has come in on this particular market, as things can get kind of weird the further down the presidential election odds board you go.

Once again, there is NO wire ABOVE trains in the New York subway system. All power is generated by the "third rail" that runs alongside the tracks -- BELOW every train.

Little Pooty-poot's Russia: SO homophobic!
Marc in Calif replied to Marc in Calif's topic in Politics
Easy: because this is a thread about homophobia in Russia. π― You are either very stupid or very obtuse. π€‘ -
It's too bad that the expert defender Kevin O'Leary wasn't on Drumpf's defense team. This illustrious legal mind would have won the case in Drumpf's favor. I'm sure of it! Meanwhile... New York attorney general says she will go after Trump's real estate if he cannot pay civil fraud fine New York State Attorney General Letitia James says sheβs prepared to go after some of Donald Trumpβs real estate holdings, including The Trump Building in lower Manhattan, if the former president cannot pay the nearly half-billion judgment handed down against him last week. New York Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron ordered Trump to pay $355 million and roughly another $100 million in pre-judgment interest for fraudulently inflating his net worth in order to secure more favorable loans.... βWe are prepared to make sure that the judgment is paid to New Yorkers, and, yes, I look at 40 Wall St. each and every day,β the attorney general added. 40 Wall St. is the address of The Trump Building, a 72-story office tower the former president has owned since 1995....

Little Pooty-poot's Russia: SO homophobic!
Marc in Calif replied to Marc in Calif's topic in Politics
You noted that the administrative fine was $10. You wouldn't have even mentioned the fine if it had been $1000. You were simply attempting to show that it was a fairly small amount for non-Russkiis. No, you didn't need to use the word "minimize." Your comment was sufficient. π― Any other gotcha question attempts? π₯° -
Little Pooty-poot's Russia: SO homophobic!
Marc in Calif replied to Marc in Calif's topic in Politics
The woman with Pride-decorated earrings spent five days in jail for wearing "illegal extremist propaganda." Your attempts to glorify Pooty-Poot Pootin and to minimize Russkii homophobia are not at all surprising. We expect that from you. -
Are you not also going to look for a good teacher of Thai? What if he was the same person as your translator? You'd learn a lot more about him, about Thai, and about yourself.

And let's not forget that a plum can eventually become a dried-up old prune with the right care and attention!

Thanks for confirming that you're one of those poor stooges and dupes! π© π― π©

Yet there will always be stooges and dupes like EmmorrhoidK who will continue buying gold shoes, perfumes, colognes, cute red hats, and maybe even Trump University diplomas!

I don't think you googled it -- or even read all of the report yourself! ππ―π The KIIS survey included a very important condition (below in red) that you don't seem know about. Or maybe, as a russkiy clown π€‘ , you just didn't want to include this condition. You understand the significance of the English word concessions in this context, right? in February 2024, 72% of respondents agreed with the opinion that Ukraine should also look for a diplomatic way to end the war (however, it should be noted that the wording of the question was simply about such a process, and not about concessions). Note that the words "peace talks with Russia" do NOT exist. A "diplomatic way" could be just about anything and could involve third parties. MOREOVER, the very same Kiev International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) just published TODAY (21 February 2024) the following new report: 73% of Ukrainians claim that they are ready to endure the war as long as necessary (plus 3% are ready to endure for quite a long time - a year). At the same time, the situation has not changed since May 2022 - in May 2022, 71% were ready to endure as long as necessary, in December 2023 - 73%. So your propaganda theory that the Ukrainian people are begging for "peace talks with Russia" is simply fake. You got that song-and-dance from TASS and Pravda.ru and all the other pro-Pooty-Poot Pootin stooges.

Have you ever upgraded to Gold membership at β¬99/year? I wonder how many more deals I would receive in my inbox with Gold.

@Londoner didn't claim to be a doctor. He simply stated known medical facts.

Here's how the 154 members of the "Presidential Greatness Project" ranked Drumpf according to their own political ideologies: Republican members ranked him at #41 Conservative members ranked him as #43 Independent members ranked him as #45 Moderate members ranked him as #45 Democratic members ranked him as #45 I figure that EmmerrhoidK is wearing so much of the new Drumpf Dreck Perfume (called "'Victory47") that he won't even notice these odious -- and odorous -- rankings of his Hitler Hero. π½π½π½

A "sharp" businessman doesn't get convicted of massively fraudulent business practices. A "sharp" businessman's core businesses don't lose more than a billion dollars in a ten-year period (1985 to 1994). A "sharp" businessman doesn't fail in one of the most successful industries in the world: casino operations. His casinos had to declare bankruptcy four (4) times. A "sharp" businessman doesn't have to lie about his net worth. By the way, critical thinking skills (if he had any) would have prevented all of these failures.

Biden to defeat Trump in election 2024 | Allan Lichtman
Marc in Calif replied to stevenkesslar's topic in Politics
He's correctly predicted the election outcomes for the past 40 years. He correctly predicted Drump's victory in 2016 and Drumpf's loss in 2020. Those are some pretty good reasons, yet you can only make ad hominem attackes on Alan Lichtman. That means you've got absolutely nothing. 0οΈβ£
