Do the massage places in Taipei include full-service happy endings? Do they top or bottom? How is that service negotiated, and are additional tips expected?  Thanks!

It's actually more dismal than that.  The average 7-Eleven worker in Thailand works 10 hour shifts, 6 days a week for that small daily wage.
Amazing that they can put up with what must be a stressful job for 60 hours per week.  I cringe when I see a tourist being rude to the cashiers in 7-Eleven.

I was in the Philippines for 2 months last year.  I primarily stayed in Cebu and I also stayed in Boracay.
I truly loved Boracay for its natural beauty and beaches - the gay life is limited but you can check out this massage place on Boracay:
@papadharz1  <-- This is the Twitter (X) handle to get more information about these massage guys, and tours.     Below is my trip report of my 2 month stay in Cebu.   And below is a post I made here in our forum about a NEW Telegram group that allows you to hook up with gay guys in the Cebu area.  As of today, it has 4,156 members.
Good luck and please share your trip report with all of us about your adventures in the Philippines.

I agree that the Hans sauna is not decorated with any kind of theme in mind, hence the lack of atmosphere. The public areas are bright and clinical looking. However, the new Hans is a much-improved version of the old, grungy Hans. Actually, it feels like a completely different place; even the clientele is different. While most patrons are 30-40s, there are quite a few younger ones as well. Overall, it is not as crowded as Soi 13, but there is plenty of action. I have a good time when I go there.

Katsuhiko Ishibashi was a prominent seismologist at Kobe university.
Back in the 1970s he fled Tokyo and moved up north, convinced that 'the big one' was coming in an area south of Tokyo.
When asked how close we were to the earthquake, he said : imagine you have a pack of cards and you are turning them over, one by one, looking for the joker. You still haven't found it and now only have 3 cards left. That's how close it is.
Ironically, the biggest earthquake ever recorded in Japan occurred.......up north!!!
It was the 9.1 Tohoku earthquake in 2011.
His escape from Tokyo got enormous media coverage and although there was no general panic, we all went out and bought survival kits. Obsessed with personal hygiene, it comes as no surprise that these kits included a toothbrush.
I used to laugh, thinking about survivors sitting amongst the rubble, brushing their teeth.

The Silom Plaza, where Arena is located, is rather dilapidated. None of the escalators works, and a paint job is needed everywhere. However, there are actually a few good restaurants on the first floor that have quite a few customers. It's a little surprising that an upscale massage parlor is opening there. Perhaps the rent is more affordable as the premises are in dire need of an upgrade.

The ibis premium King room is 250 sq ft, so the room is a decent size. The regular rooms are under 200 sq ft. The bathroom does have a large shower and a nice full-length mirror opposite the vanity mirror, which can be rather erotic when used to advantage.

I was at the Atlas bar two months ago and found it quite disappointing. There were only 4 boys/men and none were good-looking. Was that typical, or was that an off night? I went over to Fresh Boys and it was quite crowded, so I don't think it was too early or late for the bars.

I stayed in the Raya on Suriwong on my last trip. It's a nice hotel for its convenient location and relatively large rooms. However, I found the threshold between the bathroom and the bedroom a bit treacherous. It is very tall and matches the floor. Several times I nearly tripped and was at risk of falling on my face. Finally, I put a towel on the threshold so that it would be obvious and easier to avoid. It seemed to me a design flaw that could be easily remedied.
