I have wanted to visit the Philippines for the first time but don't know where to go. The Philippines is a large country with so many islands. Where are some of the best places to visit as a gay tourist? Any recommendations on gay venues? Where to find boys? Thank you for your help!  

I was in the Philippines for 2 months last year.  I primarily stayed in Cebu and I also stayed in Boracay.

I truly loved Boracay for its natural beauty and beaches - the gay life is limited but you can check out this massage place on Boracay:

Did you go to the Philippines 

Been there for almost 4 months.

Not exactly for tourism, but digital nomading.

Was stuck in Manila because the infrastructure is not reliable.

I'm heading there early mid  August with my Filipino bf who will visit his family, he will go down south and I will stay in Manila for a week 

I have been there twice before but I'm thinking Airbnb in Makati again .

 

Makati is huge, it's more like a city rather than a single 'hood.

I preferred having nice cafes and a walkable area, next to the Ayala triangle.

The more sexy stuff happen in Poblacon.
But it is barely walkable and not very nice, in my view.

If you've been with your BF a while I'm guessing you do already know that the whole "I must help my family and my family comes first. - and certainly before any white guy" thing is MUCH more deeply rooted into their mindset from a very young age than anything we in the West can ever imagine. So for us to try and stress the point that their family may all just money grabbers is in general a total waste of time and even though your BF may well be fully aware of that fact he STILL will feel obliged to "be seen" at least to help out, no matter what and any kindly advice we might deem to offer in that regard will be politely  - or not so politely just depending on how hard we push the topid - be totally ignored, so best just let him get on with it ( while keeping your own finances well out of their / his grasp.)
