  1. I wonder what Putin thinks about being around growing powers like China and India, while he has past glories of empire.
  2. Last sentence, was that a typo? "he (did you mean we) will no longer be allowed to"
  3. Make America Gavin Again blue ball caps would get under Trump's hide.
  4. From reading posts on here, It's what I've come to expect from MAGA minions.
  5. The beauty of the Incompetent-in-Chief is that the more Americans see him, the more they hate him. It's one of the reasons his operatives work so hard to hide him in the last stages of his campaigns. They're desperate for him to shut up. I know the USA is in a downward spiral with the Incompetent-in-Chief right now, and remember he is the most unpopular president since WWII.
  6. According to the World Bank the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Russia was worth about $2,173 billion US dollars in 2024. That'd be 11th in the world, one spot ahead of Canada ($2,241 billion) - the country the Incompetent-in-Chief says shouldn't exist. The GDP value of Russia represents about 2 percent of the world economy. Russia is a petrostate, 30% of Russia's federal budget comes from oil and gas. Cut off their oil and gas revenue and Putin would be facing domestic enemies even more than he is now. I'm not in favor of coups (such as the Incompetent-in-Chief tried in the USA), but it's likely that that would be Putin's end with more effective sanctions. Trump is too weak to confront a second tier power with approximately 1/14th of the economy.
  7. I don't think balls have much to do with it. It is surprising that there is one Republican on a Congressional Committee that has, so far, aligned with the Democrats to have files released to Congress. That probably did take balls (credit where credit is due).
  8. There were two bright spots for me about Jerrold Nadler's retirement announcement. First, he put the greater good before his own personal ambition. Second, he endorsed the Democratic Party's candidate for mayor of New York City, Zorhan Mamdani. Hopefully it'll lead to more endorsements and put to bed this weird notion that a democratic socialist is some kind of radical. The citizens of capitalist Sweden, capitalist Norway and capitalist Denmark have all fared better than American citizens with their democratic socialist governments.
  9. It's an interesting, though accidental point, that our resident Putin apologist makes. Russia is a 2nd tier economy on the world stage, unlike Germany before WWII. While Chamberlain was appeasing a significant power, the Incompetent-in-Chief in the White House is appeasing a 2nd tier dictator. Demonstrating yet again how weak Trump is, and how much weaker he has made the USA.
  10. Under the Ukrainian Constitution Zelensky can't cede any national territory in a peace deal. For peace to happen, Russia will either have to agree to leave occupied Ukrainian territory or be defeated.
  11. One of the problems with posts from Moses and other Trump minions, is you never know if they know what they've posted is bullshit, or if there is an issue of intellectual compromise and they honestly believe the lies and bullshit emanating from the Kremlin and White House. And sometimes, it's just making shit up. Under the Ukrainian Constitution Zelensky can not cede territory to the Russians as part of a peace agreement. There is nothing stopping Zelensky from negotiating a peace agreement with Putin that cedes no sovereign Ukrainian territory to the Russians. And, recognizing that, they only way peace is going to be restored is when Putin is defeated - which means all hands on deck from all NATO allies.
  12. Not sure if the constant lying leads to binge eating or drinking, however, I'd say Karoline Leavitt is about 5lbs away from dismissal by the Trump administration's scale.
  13. Has Ruby Moss got her money yet, to compensate for the lies promoted by Giuliani and the threats to her life that resulted. Unrelated, apologies to the original poster, I'm wondering if Newsom will come out with a MAGA gallery of toilet paper - those would sell like hot cakes.
  14. Trump has always been weak, a rich bully NEPO baby yes, but still personally weak. It is quite an accomplishment for him to make the Bush presidency look good however.
  15. There has got to be a better economic indicator than GDP. About 70% of GDP is driven by consumer spending which was hovering around 1% growth, if you believe in a growing economy that is weak. As weak as the Incompetent-in-Chief. But overall GDP growth was about 3%. Averaging out that billionaires are doing well under this "President" hides the disaster economy for the rest of us. Democrats need to batter home that the Republicans have always been bad for the economy and the government's financial situation. I know that "don't tax the rich or spend on average Americans" isn't catchy as a slogan - it's still a reality we can't afford.
  16. This one in a series of losses by MAGA over the last six months. And a 20%+ swing in voting preference in Iowa (again) isn't nothing. Similar to the 20%+ swings in the two Florida special elections earlier this year. It's a common reaction across the country, the more Americans see of Trump the more they hate him. (If he really wanted to be popular he would hide himself away, as he usually does in the last week of a campaign.) Does this mean we're going to see sanity return to the USA anytime soon? No. We (and the rest of the suffering world) are stuck with him until January 20, 2029. Is he going to get more rabid as he sees his clutch on power slipping away in 2026. Yes. October 2026 is going to be the ugliest month in USA political history I expect - entirely thanks to the current Incompetent-in-Chief. And when your team takes a win - or your nemesis (as I'm not a Democrat) takes a loss - you cheer. It's not the season, but it's a game. And games are important. So, cheer up and cheer the honest, hard fought wins when they happen. The crowd matters.
  17. Of course it is.
  18. The GOP has lost their third special election in Iowa this year, and the fourth was almost a loss. Luckily the MAGA super majority in the Iowa Senate has been broken for the fist time since 2022. America is on the move, and MAGA is in retreat. Jobs and the economy, it's where the Republican record is the weakest. https://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/politics/2025/08/26/democrat-catelin-drey-wins-iowa-senate-special-election-defeats-republican-christopher-prosch/85819325007/
  19. Big win for Americans yesterday, the MAGA candidate was toppled in Iowa, in a very red district, and MAGA has lost it's super majority in the State Senate. MAGA Iowa will have to listen to voters and take into consideration Americans needs now. It's just one seat but America is on the move against the MAGA fanatics.
  20. Last three Democratic presidents there were 80 million net jobs added to the economy. Under the last two Republican presidents there were 1 million net jobs created. If you hate job creation and a growing economy for non-Wall Street, vote Republican.
