The Chinese tourist trend is apparent in all the bars. I was speaking to a Mamasan that was complaining to me about how they watch the show and leave. Then there are the ones that drive up the prices of the boys. I just don't think it's a sustainable model in the long run. With the economy the way its going in China it's probably not going to last for long. I happened to walk past a massage place. I am not even joking, ALLLLL the boys were on their phones sending texts. They were trying to line up their regular chinese customers. I then saw a gentlemen maybe in his 40s approach one of them. They were not interested in giving him a massage at all. I have never seen that before! I was amazed. I have my regular contacts from previous years that I just text for hook ups. But I do enjoy a people watching experience in BKK and what im seeing is not positive at the moment.

It's become quite apparent to me that a lot of the boys prefer Chinese customers. They are getting huge tips that are simply way over priced for what they should be. As a result the chinese tourists are driving prices up. I have never understood this behaviour. I am often observing the chinese tourists. They are dripped with fake brand name knock offs head to toe spending exorbitant prices. The boys now see this as the norm and it is a new expectation. I have no specific issues with the tourists other than their ludicrous behaviour.

I'm curious to know.. does Pattaya have a wider selection of boys available for rent? or Bangkok? I have never been to Pattaya but I would be interested.

I'm not sure whether I would agree that bali is really the place for gay tourism. Yes it's there but actually most of the guys are not balinese. Many of them are Javanese and Indonesians from other parts of Indonesia. I would argue there is probably more 'talent' in Jakarta because there's simply a larger pool of boys looking for work.

I was in Bali end of last year. The gay scene is so odd there. There are 'gay clubs' but I find the atmosphere is just really cold and bizarre. I guess it's probably a cultural thing. You would rarely see two guys making out or even dancing together in a bar. Having said that the balinese and Indonesian guys are really lovely and always welcoming. Just the club scene is strange AF.

Might be a silly question but I might ask anyway heheh. Can you pay guys with PayPal or wise or similar? Or is it all strictly a cash transaction ?

I usually stay at the Crowne Plaza. Location is excellent, hotel is pretty good. But it is one of the more expensive options.

I was there just last week. was a really friendly atmosphere. Last time I went was many years ago. It's great to see they are upholding. Lots of boys to choose from too and many are straight if that's your thing.

Thermas is always awesome. I've been there a few times and I've always found some hot guys
