Why do gay Arabs risk their life in Pattaya?
TotallyOz replied to abidismaili's topic in Gay Thailand
Of course. There are tons of pics. And, my friends have seen them and love them! Thank you for asking about them. -
I have been in bars many times and wanted to chat with a few friends on stage and instead of getting them a beer which can be expensive, I open a bottle. I find this a great way to save money on the price of drinks. Like bucknaway, I still tip the boys. I also allow them to give drinks to their friends if they want a drink. As I don't drink myself, the bottle usually comes with mixers and I'll drink the coke. Again, that saves over 100 baht depending on the bar you are in. I had a friend who always opened a bottle and gave shots to all the boys. He enjoyed himself immensely and so did the boys.

Silly Peter! I am registered with the white socks farang group that meets above the old corner bar the 2nd full moon of the year. You can't be a part of 2 sects. -
Where were you/what were you doing as 9/11 unfolded back in 2001?

I do remember. It was such an eerily quiet day and week that seem to drag on for a long time. -

You doubt a lot Peter. What does getting divorce in that country take? Find out how easy that is and then maybe you will say, Michael is right, it is easy. Passports are only checked for Haij and other visitors. If you have an Iquama (Saudi ID Card for Foreigners) you never take your passport anywhere. -

I was in NYC. I was supposed to be in the World Trade Center that AM but overslept. I had relatives in town. My BF was in school at FIT and I didn't know if he was OK or not. Running an escort service, you would not believe the number of calls the next few days. I don't mean a few but hundreds each day. I unplugged as no one, including me, wanted to work. The city was quiet. No one know if it was going to happen again. The BF and I walked from 49th Street to 42nd Street the following week to go to a movie. No taxi horns and still no cars. Serene. Silent. Sad. -

Most of your entire last statement shows me how naive you are. But, the part I quote above tells me just how clueless you actually are. I don't mind debating someone with an intelligent argument. But, if you truly believe the above (and I assume you do) then we have nothing more to discuss. -

None of my friends in Saudi knew I was gay. I am very good at blending in. Perhaps I should not take risks at all and just move to Pattaya and go to bars every night hoping to find that one Thai boy that will love me for me and not my money. LOL No, I think we all take risks. I am just a bit more interested in learning more about the world and people from different parts of the world than some. I don't denigrate them at all. And, I don't denigrate you either. But, you are on a gay board about gay guys in Thailand. I assume you know the risk you take by hiring a boy here as prostitution is illegal? I assume you know the risk of contracting diseases as many of the boys have more multiple partners a year than countries I have visited? We all take risks daily. -
Tomcal, I agree. The trips I have taken with you and Firecat and Hooboy and others have been the best trips I have taken. In fact, back before this site, it was Hooboy that convinced me to retire and start traveling. 79 countries later, I am still appreciative of his advice. Back before I went to Thailand the first time, I met TampaYankee, Firecat, MarcAnthony and more in Montreal. I always had a blast there. It was fun stuff and it was a wonderful retreat from NYC. A few of those guys visited me in NYC for a gay pride and that to me as one of the most amazing weekends of my life. I had so much fun that weekend. I can't even count the number of trips to Montreal and the tips to sexy twinks at Taboo. I was lucky to be in Thailand and Brazil with Hooboy on several occasions before he passed away. I have been lucky to be in Brazil with Firecat, MarcAnthony and others on a trip long ago and to be in Brazil with Tomcal and FloridaRob. I have been in Thailand with Firecat at least 20 times or more over the years and it is always fun to hang out and spend time with people who like to go hoing. I have met up with Lucky in several places and Townie in LA quite a bit. I met Lurker and Townie in Phoenix one trip for dinner and had a good time. I met Planetime in Thailand and wow, so many others over the years. I could go on and on but Tomcal is right. The friends that can be made from a site like this is amazing. And, I also find that those friends I have made from this site are ones that I truly value.

I have had multiple friends tell me how much they love Jomtien. I lived there several years back and really liked it but not that many gay places. I'm being told that has changed and it is very gay friendly now and moving more in that direction each day. I did find the commute into the city "Sunnee" or Boyztown to be a PITA at times but I usually went at night and pretty easy at that time on a motorcycle. I did find the restaurants in Jomtien very nice. It is nice to hear others are enjoying the area.

Peter, I had friends from UK and they were both Muslim and they did not need a declaration. I don't know what the requirements are to be honest regarding declaring before you enter. However, to become Muslim is very simple. You state in front of an Iman that you believe that Mohamed is the prophet (or something to that effect) and you can get a paper that allows you to enter Mecca. -

Yes, Lucky, we were Lucky to have him. But, we are Lucky we still have you!

I wish people were allowed to live their lives the way they wanted without repercussions based on their sexuality. If that happened, this would not have happened. Gay men need an outlet and escorts are a great one. I wish so much were not made of this. People need healthy sex to survive. I believe this.

Tristian. Welcome! I do honestly mean that and hope that you keep posting. But, we will not be drudging this shit back here again once it has been quite for a few days. My sincere apologies.

Finally, I have found a great bagel place. I love bagels and can eat one each day. But, they are hard to find outside of NYC. This place has the best tasting bagels I have had in Thailand. I love their Cinnamon Raisin Bagel. Also, they will deliver via Food Panda. http://www.bkkbagelbakery.com/

The thread titled, "Don't speak ill of the dead" I think was meant for the Clinton / Trump Story. The thread titled, "No need to panic yet" I think was meant for the dead for Phyllis Schlafly.

I just hope something does not happen terrorist wise in the USA. If it does, it is over. He will win as he is "seen" as stronger. In what world do people trust him more than her?

What the fuck does this have to do with anything? I don't know you. Time out 90 days.

Why do gay Arabs risk their life in Pattaya?

My sister and her children know everything I do. The rest of my family did not know that I was in Saudi. I have over 10 aunts and uncles and over 50 cousins I keep in contact with. I have many other family members as well. I also separate my sister who I trust implicitly with the rest of my red neck relatives. -
Thank you all for your suggestions so far. Please keep them coming. As this topic is very important to the future of the site, all not OP posts will be moved elsewhere.

Thanks Z. I appreciate the kind words. It is odd. I don't understand the US protection of Saudi Arabia. It is disgraceful IMHO. Too many questions to answer every one. I went to Mecca with friends who were well connected. We drove right in. Would I have thought I deserved to be beheaded if I was caught? No. Would I have been? No, I doubt it. But, anything is possible there. However, I was careful. Or, so I thought. But, the boy I was with was obviously gay. He was one stunning piece of ass and I loved fucking him every time and it would have been worth a few lashed to have sex with him. But, if it had come to the real pain, I might be crying after the first lash. I don't think anyone deserves to be punished for being gay. Or, acting on it. My family said when I went they would petition the US should anything happen. In fact, when I left the country for Saudi, they had signs that said, "Save Unkie" They knew I could not keep my dick in my pants. There were other guys as well, but the one I was caught with was worth it. There is a difference in shouting something and acting on it. Saudi and other Islamic countries act on it. LOL I don't care if you believe it or not. I've always had doubters on this site and thus why I did not post the original post here. But, that being said, feel free to believe me or not. Alexx, you mean that those things in the sky actually allow you to go more than one place in a year? Damn. I learn something new everyday. Thank you for enlightening us. -

Gay sex is forbidden and will be prosecuted. Here is a post that I made on another board a few months back. A worthwhile read if you like this topic. http://www.boytoy.com/forums/topic/26323-2-years-in-saudi-arabia-or-how-did-i-not-get-beheaded/
