I do think you miss the point. FH himself ask that the message he sent to Scooby be posted and that the thread be closed. When a member asks an admin to post a PM, then the admin does what that member requests, then I do not understand the issue. This is the crux of the issue. There was no private message posted that FH did not request to be posted. None. Nowhere. Period.

Show me the message that was private that was posted on this site without his consent. Admittedly, you are correct. I just knew who you were when you started posting here again. And, if it had been in my power, you would have been gone. Bob, FH decided to join the circus when he decided to post that his privacy was violated. No one here started that discussion. He did. I realize it would probably be preferable to just let him keep posting whatever he wishes without challenge but that is also not fair to others. The fact that you are still here should be enough to tell you I don't own the board. FH was a valuable contributor on this board. He left on his own accord. He had no private messages posted here that that were not requested to be published (see above for the one he asked to be posted and then the thread was closed). If he has a beef with me that is part of life and nothing I can do about it. His reasons for leaving are known only to him and as Bob said those he spoke to privately.

I just read the thread over there and I am surprised by it. First, I am surprised he admitted he banned Firecat. I thought he would lie about it or try to fix the mistake he made. Instead, he owns up to it and says this is the way it is going to be. And, he takes a dig at me? Why? I do not own this site or the message board. I did own it several years ago and I think that is why many still think I do. But, I don't. And, I don't see why anyone would start problems where there are none. Unless he has an ulterior motive or is just an ass or he is a bit nutty. Lets face it, it is really one of the three. And, if I did own this board, I still would not ban him even though he insults me and this board. Why? I am an adult. Grow up Surfcrest.

Wow. After reading Firecat's latest post, that seems to be exactly what he did. He cleaned up his board by banning Firecat. We are all glad you chose this board. Well, I guess we found out today didn't we? For years you belittled me for posting too much and now you want to whine about an owner posting too little. Be careful not to be so up and down. All boards are suppose to work together to rid the Gay Thailand community of dissent. I am glad you and Gaybutton have a good relationship. That is great. I am happy with that. I did not know that this board was in the outside of the mix and not successful working together. This is news to me and I am glad you bring it up. I do not think that working together prohibits the free flow of comments on a board. If you feel we should give you or him special treatment as you own another board, well, that is just insane. IMHO. As a member, I don't see either of you treated any different than another member. The main difference I see is that you can't control the flow of discussion the way you can on other boards. I don't think that is a bad thing. But, I have read this thread over again since reading your comment and have yet to see how Gaybutton was disrespected in the thread. He got as good as he gave and he is the one that started the giving. In your world, it may be better to let him have his say and then for the admins to jump in and protect any negative comments about him, but to me, that is just weird. He chose to get involved in the discussion. He chose to be aggressive about his stance and he was challenged. Isn't that what a board is suppose to allow and encourage? I have known Gaybutton for many years and I think he knows that when I have a disagreement with him over a post on a message board that it is not personal. Some people just don't understand this. But, adults do not have to agree and just because he owns another board, that does not mean that he deserves preferential treatment here or on your board. IMHO

I see people able to post about issues they want to post about and then a discussion is had. It may not end the way you or someone else wishes, but free and open discussions are important to a forum community IMHO. And, may I ask who piled on who? There seem to be statements that were in support of the original poster and against. And, I didn't see any group pile on anything. But, then again, I may be blind and sometimes need a guide to help me navigate.

I am thrilled beyond belief. I read this as a kid growing up in Alabama and never understood why no other books were written.
